When I visit my vacation home in this area I order a lot of our supplies from Amazon. UPS and Fed Ex have no problem delivering to my address on time. During my last three visits OnTrac has failed to deliver on time all three times. I'm currently awaiting a package that has been in Salinas for the past three days and the driver still can't seem to make the delivery happen. I'm also currently on hold for the third time today (average hold time is 15 minutes per call) waiting to speak to a representative. At this point, I'll have to get with Amazon to cancel the order as I'm going home tomorrow and it's past their delivery time this evening. If Amazon would let me know up front who was delivering what I ordered I'd immediately cancel the order if OnTrac showed as the delivery source. Absolute incompetence and unreliability. However, their customer service personnel on the phone are very courteous; It seems they must have plenty of practice during the day. read more

My package was shipping at Ontario, CA on Oct 8 as a ground shipment, and was scheduled for delivery on Oct 16 or after. It arrived shortly after 2:00 PM on Oct. 9. I only received notice of the shipment on the morning of the 9th, so I consider this excellent service. I was surprised to see the one star review, so, although I had a superior experience, YMMV. read more

Now this is one company that deserves to go OUT OF BUSINESS. Package was to be delivered on 12/6/2016 by end of day. Didn't happen. I called was put on hold for 20 minutes and finally told I would get it the next day, sorry for the delay. Next day came and went ....no package. Called again....sat on hold again forever, (this time I wrote down names), at 3:01 pm, talked to Lauren, put on hold until 3:09 because she was calling Monterey to see were my package was. On hold until 3:22 pm, then told again by Fernando that my pack would be out again the very next day priority sense it was already twos days late. Well today came and went and still now package. It's almost 11:00 pm now and I'm at witts end. This company has LIED TWICE. to me now. I hope in the near future this company goes out of business. Keep this practice up and I guarantee you they will not last long. Never again will OnTrac be used by me. And I going to spread the word that it's not used by any of my friends too. Good by OnTrac. read more

Worst customer service ever!!! It Said my package was delivered and it wasn't i checked my cameras and it was never delivered. I emailed twice and no response, I called 3x and the said they will contact driver and call me back but never did! If I ever order anything online again who uses this company, I will not order! Wish I could give it a NO star! read more

I have ordered from Amazon a lot and have had ontrac as the shipper before but never had a problem except when a package came that was empty and had clearly been re taped. Amazon and the seller made good on the order and I was able to actually talk to them on the phone with little effort. My latest order is now two days late. I tried contact ontrac but I was on hold for so long I gave up. I read reviews of ontrac and it seems like they are the most horrible shipper there is. UPS, FEDEX and even USPS have been super reliable with Amazon orders. Just last Christmas I ordered pretty much all my gifts from Amazon and other websites and had a few glitches in delivery but the other reputable shippers kept me updated properly. It is hard to believe that Amazon is willing to put up with ontrac. I work for a contractor that does work at apartment complexes and I see ontrac delivery vehicles all the time, they are the most dirty, beat up pieces up junk you will see. There employees look shady and always speed through the parking lot like they just robbed a bank. Around Christmas time 2015 an ontrac employee delivered a package to the office of the apartments we were working at and instead of finding the right apartment in this huge complex they put the package in front of the office in the morning before they opened. It turned out the package contained a laptop, but when the tenant went to get the package at the office it was empty....no laptop! When I track my package all it says is out for delivery. Amazon obviously knows ontrac sucks because when I track through Amazon's website this is what it says. We're sorry your package is late. If it hasn't arrived by Friday, Feb 12, please come back for a refund or replacement. The package was supposed to be delivered on the 9th. Please Amazon drop this company as one of your shippers, you can't be that desperate, can you? read more

10/3/2016 I ordered a package on Amazon prime and it was supposed to be delivered in two days at the end of the second day I checked the website at 8 PM and said it was still out for delivery I called Amazon and they confirmed that they weren't able to deliver because of internal problem it would be delivered on Saturday I checked the website again the next day and it says it was delivered at 3:30 other day it was supposed to be here no package was ever delivered they flat out lied The only way that I could fix this first contact Amazon corporate office and tell them what happened . Amazon corporate office assumed me that on track will be removed from ever delivering a package to me . I got a total refund from Amazon and extended my prime membership don't ever use this company you will be sorry. Update I had called corporate office in Phoenix Arizona finally I got my results they track the package using GPS ever found out the driver never even got to my house or close to it when he marked it delivered at this moment in time it is on the truck scheduled to be delivered today which is the The fourth which is four days late I give kudos to Ted Bowser Who is one of the senior customers customer repair wraps at on track in the corporate office itself he made it all possible when out of his way and tracked my package it gave the results thank you Thad if you guys need to talk to somebody you need to talk to corporate forget the regular customer service reps they're scared they don't want to say bad things happen but the only way the upper upper ups will ever know Osa somebody says something good luck all read more

I'm sure the drivers are nice people. But they could not find Niagara Falls if they lived next door. All three times they were the shipper on items I ordered from the web, the packages ended up at various other houses in the neighborhood, or they couldn't find me at all and were ready to return the package. In one instance it was a Captain's Bed and I had to load four packages into my car from another house. Fortunately the neighbor saw the phone number on the label and called me. It was a block away, nowhere near my address. Now, when I see that they are the carrier, I call them in advance to show them where my house is on Google Earth. Maybe I should use Niagara Falls in my Ship To. read more

I'm a local event/ wedding florist and I had a wedding emergency- my wholesaler didn't have lavender I needed for a wedding tomorrow. So I overnight shipped a box of 10 bunches of dried lavender from Amazon for $95. I can't complete my client's wedding without it. So I called tonight at 7:40 pm since there was no package and the website said it was out for delivery (twice! once at 9:05 am and another time at 4? What?), and I was told the delivery driver had it and it would be here by 9pm. 8:45 rolls around, and I decided to check on its status online. They marked it delivered (at 6:50 pm!) but I was waiting by the front porch the whole time and no one showed up to deliver it. I have no package! I've been on hold on the phone waiting for their customer for a half hour now- when I finally got through, they said they would give me a call back. Thank god I called at 7:40 cos they wouldn't have believed me otherwise! At least their call records show I'm not making this up! read more

Package has been delayed almost 10 days when the other part of the order that was fulfilled by usps was delivered right on time. Not sure if it'll ever arrive given how long the delay has been. read more

The worst delivery service I've unfortunately had to deal with. Every time I see them listed as who will be delivering a package, I just expect it not to get here. The package from Amazon that was 2-day shipping since I'm a prime member, rode around on the truck for a week before they could finally bring themselves to get it too me, I complained to Amazon, and told them to not use them anymore. I at least got an extra month of prime for it. But the worst, I ordered a MacBook Air, and expected the package on a Monday. I set it up that way so I would be at home and could sign for it. But, they sent it out next day, and I found it sitting by my front door. A $2000 computer left out in the open, and it specifically said signature required. Then, I get an email the next morning telling me it was delivered, and that I had signed for it. If I can complain to Apple someway, I am going to tell them to stop using them too. They are a joke, and shouldn't even be in business. read more

Was supposed to have a package delivered today from Amazon. Finally, at 930 pm Amazon emails me and said ontrac contacted them and said my address is incorrect!! Hello ontrac, it's correct and you've delivered here before! Thanks for nothing. Now Amazon has refunded my purchase and I have to repurchase it because you couldn't follow gps directions and deliver my package. read more

I would give this company zero stars if I could. Once, when there was roadwork on our road, they claimed the road was closed for 3 days. It was never closed, you just had to wait to get through....my longest wait was about 3 mins. So, the driver was just too lazy to wait. They have claimed that my gate was closed when it had been open for weeks because the opener was broken. They left stuff in the driveway, which then blew over to my dad's house a half a block away (we are out in the country where houses are far apart). They've also left packages on the driveway in pouring rain, instead of bringing them up to the door where it would be sheltered. NOW, they are claiming that my address, that I've lived at for 13 years, is invalid. The house number is in 3 inch high numbers on my mailbox at the road, and the gate is gone...off being painted. SO incompetent.... read more

It keeps saying "STAGED FOR DELIVERY" on my status, but I'm not sure what that means. It's said that repetitively for 4 straight days now, and someone has waited at my home all morning/day/night and no one has come to deliver anything. They dont reply to their emails either. read more

I dread seeing that they will be delivering our packages at the office I work at. The driver's are extremely unprofessional (most of the time they appear under the influence of something) and are loud and rude. Also, no guarantee of what time of day they will wander in. read more

This is literally the worst company I have ever dealt with - how and why Amazon uses them is beyond me. I have never given a 1 star review for anything since I figure there must be some redeemable qualities, or maybe I should give them the benefit of the doubt; but not OnTrac. I had a driver who left packages at the bottom of our driveway, out of sight and hidden in the woods. It would be days or weeks before I found them, and the content were ruined. It took nearly 2 weeks of trying to reach customer service by phone and email before I finally heard back from a local branch manager who somewhat fixed the problem. I begged Amazon not to send my packages through OnTrac, and Amazon claimed they would honor the request, but packages still arrived through OnTrac. Their local delivery trucks look like the fully loaded Oldsmobile 46 from the Beverly Hillbillies, and it's a different driver each time. This is what you get when you go with the lowest bidder, Amazon. read more

I cannot say enough in regards to the service we receive at our home from OnTrac. When I track a package that is posted in Reno, for example, I can see the movement of that package and am always pleasantly surprised to receive it the very next day! In order for a system as complicated as this (I am speaking of the human and technological interaction here) to keep moving in such an efficient manner means to me that someone in their organization is surely doing their job in an efficient, consistent manner. I do not know the gentleman personally who delivers to us but I think he does a wonderful job and I am grateful. There was an instance with OnTrac in the past where a package of mine had been left on the dock; this necessitated a call and assistance from a representative of OnTrac. Everyone involved seemed to drop what they were doing to help and I was very impressed. The package was quickly found and re-delivered (still in a timely manner) to our home. I realize that OnTrac is a west coast delivery service so does not have the ground to cover that perhaps UPS, FedEx, and USPS does but they do a wonderful job here locally and I appreciate everyone involved in getting my packages to me. read more

I knew you guys lied on your tracking site and you don't care how long it take but, I had no clue you let your drivers open up packages and destroy products as well. NEVER excepting my stuff to be delivered by Ontrac EVER again. I'll boycott ordering off amazon from now on. Sephora already told me they will never use you guys again for my orders anymore. read more

Add me to the long list of Amazon Prime members (2 day guaranteed delivery) who is getting the worst service ever with Ontrac. I will be reporting my experience to Amazon..they should not contract with this horrible delivery company. I ordered a gift to be delivered to my 96 yr old mother, and timed my order so that the package would arrive while I was there visiting from out of town...timed so that I could handle the heavy box, and we could enjoy the gift together. I was tracking the order after ordering from Amazon, and it was supposed to be delivered on Friday Nov. 18...it arrived at Salinas facility (called "Monterey"??) at 4 a.m. So all seemed on schedule. Late that day, I got text and email saying there was a delay but my pkg would now arrive Nov. 21!!! I had to travel back home on 20th, and have tried phoning Ontrac to get delivery info, as now I need to make arrangements for someone to be at the address to help carry the box inside. When I called Ontrac, I was told that that facility is having problems functioning because "some people quit and they are understaffed"..that there was a huge backlog and many pkgs piling up..the first time I called today, Cassandria promised to speak to the facility and have them locate my pkg and she would find out exact delivery plan. She never called back..almost 5pm. I called again and spoke to another female..who hung up on me as I was speaking after saying it could be "many days". I am so frustrated..my gift being held hostage who knows where!! ..I wonder if it will ever get delivered. I know that Amazon will refund or something..but sadly disappointed that my surprise for my mother was ruined due to using this fly by night business instead of reputable such as Fed Ex or UPS. If this was the first complaint, I might believe their excuses..obviously this group has never been competent. read more

This is the most incompetent company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Could not find my house. I had to call customer service, Sally was very nice. Said she would google directions and send them to the driver for delivery the next day. Still nothing the next day. Tried calling customer service again, on hold over 30 minutes finally had to hang up. This is not the first time they have screwed up. What a disappointing company. I'll take FedEx or UPS any day and twice on Sunday. read more

We ordered parts from a regular supplier who has always gotten them to us within a business day or two. Alas, not with On Trac. It is now 10 days past the promised date for three deliveries that we--and our customers--were expecting last week. Impossible to call On Trac--my shop manager was on hold for over 40 minutes before the system hung up on him. And when we check the online tracking it shows all of our packages arriving in San Jose, being out for delivery in Santa Cruz, then being scanned as arriving in San Jose for the next three days, then being out for delivery in Santa Cruz, then being scanned back in to San Jose. It's like there is some phantom On Trac delivery truck doomed to travel a loop over Highway 17 forever in the twilight zone. I guess it's possible they are coming after the business is closed, except that we have never received any kind of failed delivery notice that would allow us to reschedule during business hours. I finally called our supplier and reordered the parts, which arrived the next day via UPS. They have been instructed to NEVER use On Trac for our orders again, and thankfully they do offer other options and were willing to put a note on our account to that effect. When there are many other reliable delivery services in the area--including the US Post Office--I fail to see why anyone would use this pitiful excuse for a transport company. read more

Amazon (Prime) order arrived a day early, so I'm quite happy with their service.

Well, Ontrac, you've managed to screw me over AGAIN. I really wish we had a choice as to which delivery service is used when we order items online, but unfortunately, we have no say on the matter. Why companies still use OnTrac is beyond me since I've had nothing but problems with this company. The latest debacle involved a package that was supposed to be delivered on Monday, October 8, but I have yet to receive it and it's now Thursday, October 11. The funny thing is that their website says the package was delivered on Monday at 6:30pm and signed for by a B. Duran. Well... let's poke holes in THAT big lie. First of all, our office was CLOSED Monday afternoon due to the holiday. Second, we do not have an employee with the first initial B and last name Duran. And here's the kicker. We have security cameras located all over our facility and after reviewing the video footage from Monday between 5pm and 7pm, I did NOT see any OnTrac delivery vehicles stop by our office. Unfortunately, I'm not the only person here at work who has had horrible experiences with this company. A coworker of mine was expecting a package from Amazon and had special ordered it with two day shipping. Ontrac screwed her over and did not deliver it on time as guaranteed by Amazon, even tho on their website, they said it was delivered AND signed for by her, so she called customer service and had to chew them out. Miraculously, her package arrived that day!! I guess my next step is to call OnTrac to see where my package is since it's been three days and still nothing. Oh, and I did send them an email and am still waiting a response. Thanks, OnTrac, for yet another terrible experience!! read more

If I could rate zero stars I would. The absolutely worst delivery service provider....don't know how they are still in business.

Worst service ever. On Trac attempted delivery twice, but claimed they were unable to find my house. On the third attempt the delivery driver left the package a couple of houses down, on the street, in front of a neighbors house. Before I was able to locate it I had the misfortune of dealing with their customer service department. The individual that I talked to insisted that the item was delivered, and in effect called me a liar when I said that I had not received the item. If this is neweggs only carrier in CA I will never purchase from them again. read more

Same experience as everyone else with negative reviews. My most recent package from Amazon was left completely unsecured at a group of mailboxes a half mile from my house, at 8:14 at night. If I hadn't driven out to get it, it surely would have been stolen. Even worse, the driver claimed that it had been signed for, which is a complete lie. I'm also going to stop buying from Amazon. read more

I wouldn't even give this a 1 star if I could. Absolute joke. My package showed "out for delivery st 9am", then at 5:30p it said "package staged for delivery".. 8:15p and package is still not here. I have tried contacting them only to hear there is a wait of 125 people in front of me! read more

would never used ontrac ever again,,,,,better off the old fashion way ship via USPS. ontrac claimed they del my pkg but the security camera showed NO ontrac veh nor ontrac delivery person dropping off any pkg at my residence. so i never got my pkg..... so looks like ontrac del my valuable pkg somewhere other than my residence. when i called ontrac asking where my pkg was all the ontrac rep cold say was "O i see your pkg was del on the date and time as stated with that tracking no" end of story. no help at all nor does ontrac take responsibility for their companies actions and tells me to contact amazon. read more

I really wish businesses would look at these reviews and listen to us customers when we complain about how HORRIBLE OnTrac is when it comes to deliveries. I have yet to receive a package delivered from OnTrac when they say it has been delivered on their website! They are notorious for putting down bogus times and dates on their site just so they can go back to the shippers to say they've met their delivery timelines. B.S.! I was supposed to have two packages delivered to my place of business so there would be no confusion as to where I lived or how to get in our private gate, etc. According to OnTrac, one package was delivered to FD, which I'm assuming is the Front Desk, AFTER hours. I even looked in our back warehouses to see if the packages might have been delivered there, but nothing. The other package just never arrived. So now I'm trying to get in touch with OnTrac to see where my packages are and I refuse to take a $300 loss because they lost my packages!! Thanks, OnTrac, for yet another failed delivery!! I wish I could give them negative stars!! I've sent complaints to Sephora, also, pleading with them to NOT USE OnTrac. read more

less reliable than USPS, wish Amazon would allow customers to remove carriers ability to handle their packages

I have never had so many problems with a delivery service, they are incredibly frustrating to work with. I've had five packages shipped by ontrac. One was left in a potion oak bush on the public road a mile from my house, one was never delivered and couldn't be found when I called them,( it turned up the following day), and the package I am currently waiting for is five days late and the status ha just been updated to "wrong delivery address." It has a "service commitment" date of 12/2 and its 12/6 still no package. The house is not hard to find google map or any other GPS pinpoints the address accurately. I've attempted to contact them 3 times once by voice message twice by email over the last 3 days, but I've received no response. These guys are totally inept and should be out of business by now. From now on I won't buy from shippers who use ontrac. Everyone should drop this company as a service, Amazon recently did from so many complaints. Don't support this company. read more
