Since then, all repairs and maintenance have been handled by Compu-Shack without any issues. Most recently, her screen died and some funky stuff was going on with the keyboard and pen. She was devastated because nothing had ever happened to her laptop, and she had 4 years of history she didn't want to worry about. Even though we had some stuff backed up, that laptop had become like her best friend. We thought for sure I would need to get her a new one but, nope! They fixed it right up, AND all the data was saved, drivers updated, pen replaced, etc. The screen wasnt a perfect match, so the view is a little dim but, she can see to work, and the owner knocked a good chunk of the price off because he felt bad about it being dim-this after trying for 2 hours to improve it; how often do you see that happen! I would have paid whatever to see the smile on her face when I brought it home. He also fixed it so she could use an external monitor, and now she has 2 monitors, which she proclaimed makes life so much easier. I have also referred anyone in need of PC/phone repairs here, and they have had no issues. The other reviews I see on here don't even make sense when I think of the level of customer satisfaction that I've witnessed while waiting for my own repairs. You also have to wonder how they stayed in business so long if everything said was true! In my opinion, the staff here is honest, friendly, caring, and knowledgeable about their business. It's comforting to listen to them answer calls, and walk customers through repairs or updates; other people would require them to come in so they can put a price tag on their help. If you need your tech handled by someone who cares about what they do and won't judge you, all for an affordable price--then this is the place to come. The techs at Compu-Shack handle devices like people on an operating table, and saving electronics is of the utmost importance to them. See for yourself; don't let someone else's bad experience cloud your judgment.

It is for this reason that I was so appreciative of the friendly assistance and exceptional service offered by Onyx Consulting. Immediately upon arrival, I was greeted by the general manager, who listened attentively as I explained my issues and made recommendations and suggestions based on what I had told him. He gave his frank assessment and made it very clear what the likely timeline and potential costs or issues for the repair might be. He was completely upfront and honest from start to finish. I was very happy to learn that Onyx offers an expedited service fee, in exchange for which one is guaranteed that a technician will begin diagnosing the computer within two hours, although it usually happens even faster: I was fortunate enough to have a technician be able to look at my computer within about 10 minutes. This service only means that diagnostic work will begin as soon as possible, but it was well worth the cost to have an idea of what the problem was as soon as possible. The technician who handled my actual evaluation and repair was exceptional. He kept me informed on every step of the process and ensured that I was aware of the work he was doing. He was fastidious and attentive to every detail, ensuring that he knew exactly what problems I was having so that he could fix them. He also offered suggestions for the future and things to keep in mind moving forward. By bringing my computer in early in the morning and taking advantage of the expedited diagnostic fee, I was actually able to get my computer back that same day. Obviously this sort of timely turn around isn't possible for all problems, but I was extremely impressed by the efficiency displayed by Onyx and the quality of the work they did. I highly recommend Onyx Consulting for all of your PC or Mac needs. My issue was for a personal device, but if I needed regular computer service as a business owner, I would highly consider Onyx Consulting. They offer superlative service and courteous attention at extremely fair prices. I would like to personally thank Steve Bullock and Cameron for all of their wonderful assistance.

On the most recent visit my screen on my Samsung S10 had broken and I was unable to see what was going on with my phone, though it was still apparently working, somewhere under that DARK AND BLANK SCREEN FROM HELL! Anyway, Heather took my replacement phone and my broken neck-twisted from the exorcism old phone and was able to transfer all my files, messages, contacts and everything over. She told me and my wife to go ahead and go grab a bite or a drink and she would have all the files from my old BETELGEUSE transferred over to the new one and would call my wife's phone when done. We went back after she called and my new phone was ready. She also let me leave the DEMONSPAWN there so she could reset it to factory setting so when I sent it back to DANTES 9TH LEVEL OF HELL it would be wiped clean. It was truly a battle of epic proportions between Heather the Screenfixing Angel vs THE DEMON FROM CELL-HELL. They even had my new screen-guard put on when I picked up my phone. Final score: Heather with Screenfixing 1 GREEN-VOMIT-SPEWING SPAWN FROM HADES 0
