This is my new pokebowl go to! I don't really enjoy other locations anymore and order from here. I love their selection of sauces: Honey Onion and Truffle Mayo combo is to die for! I always add in extra toppings crab salad and cucumber kimchi for that extra spice. I do ask to sub wasabi mayo for a regular one. The staff has called me should they not have a certain topping or sauce available. Other places would just not put anything and serve it that way. The place is on Hwy 7 and Woodbine beside the Hilton. It's under the condos by the S Town Centre entrance. Place is small but has a couple of seats if you want to eat in. I always get take out. The only one star off is I feel like they can add in a little bit more sauce, then it would be perfect. I will surely go here again!

    Kabayaki Unagi bowl

Finally tried Ono Poke Bar after recommendation from a friend. Ordered it through a food delivery app so I can't comment on the the service they provide at the store or tmthe ambiance. I ordered Kabayaki Unagi which came in 1 size - large. As mentioned by other yelpers, it's not a lot of food and it's not filled to or close to the top. I was not full off of it, but I felt ok. The unagi had unagi sauce on it but the rest of the bowl had no sauce on it (cabbage, carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes). I wish there was an option to add more sauce. Overall rating - 3/5. Might need to try a different choice. Not in a rush to try again.

When searching this place up on Google, I noticed they had an option to order via Ritual with no difference in pricing so I opted to do so as I felt it was easier to build my own bowl being able to have all the options laid out in front of me with all the prices listed. I ended up getting a snack size BYOB and the Big Island, which only comes in their regular size. It took about 15 mins between me placing my order and it being ready for pick up. Upon entering, your first impression is that the shop is quite small. The place looked relatively clean at a glance. My encounter was short but the service was good. My takeout was packaged well and so, travelled well with everything staying intact and still looking beautiful in presentation. Freshness and flavor were both there, which is probably the most important thing when it comes to poke. Overall, most of their packaging was sustainable. With paper-made bowls and bags, while the lid is clear plastic and they use plastic forks (but you can also opt for wooden chopsticks!)

New Year (re)solutions on healthy eats! Making my healthy choices Ono Poké Bar, a Hawaiian Asian-inspired poke bowl restaurant that takes pride in using quality ingredients and flavourful sauces! Ono Poké Bar just SOFT OPENED its Markham store on Chinese New Year 2022 ^^ It is located in the same plaza as Gal Sushi. They took over where Pokewave used to be. There is one table inside if you wish to dine-in, please be sure to show your vaccination! I would highly recommend Kabayaki Unagi Bowl ($16.99) and the Taro chips ($3.50, thick cut). Both are so flavourful, and I'd love to order them again! If you want something lighter, the Classic Salmon is also a great choice! You can also DIY your own poké bowl too!

Awesome poke spot. Lots of fresh ingredients. Great make your own bowl options. It's a really small spot I think it has seating for 3 along the window but seems like a take out spot. Service was fast. Thoroughly enjoyed. The daily specials are worth it.

I got the classic salmon & spicy mango bowl. If you're looking to a healthy alternative to poke bowls, this place is for you. Everything taste very fresh & clean plus all their sauces are homemade. I also got the thick cut taro chips which for some reason was too sweet so unfortunately not my favorite kind of taro chips. The ladies there are really nice & helpful. Even though it is takeout, the service was impeccable!

Finally tried ONO Poke Bar after passing by it several times while grabbing bubble tea in the area. They have a number of signature poke bowls, including some which come in snack sized portions. One has the option of building one's own poke bowl. The staffer serving us was friendly. They also offer a loyalty stamp card which is not something you see at other poke places. Hubby and I personally enjoyed the ONO Torched Paradise bowl. It came with torched tuna and torched salmon, furikake, taro chips, avocado, seaweed salad, crabmeat salad, pickled ginger, mango, tamago, green onions and terivaki mayonnaise. One can choose a base of white rice, brown rice, greens, or a mix of two of these. We got half brown rice and half greens. We found the ingredients to be fresh, and there was plenty of protein in the bowl. We liked that the torched fish is something we haven't encountered at other poke establishments that we've been to. At $19.99 for a large poke bowl, it does seem a tad steep in price. I appreciated that they offer 15% discount to frontline healthcare workers with proof of ID. Not sure why they have so many 1 star reviews but our experience was positive and will most likely return to try more of the poke bowl options.

This spot offers daily offers as well as monthly specials for walk-in orders! For the month of July, they are featuring their ONO TORCHED TUNA in addition to these amazing offers, you will also be able to get 10% off your purchase in exchange for a Google review. Their bowls are huge and super loaded with a large assortment of fresh ingredients & toppings. I love the variety and different textures of the bowls however, one thing is that I personally would have preferred a bit more sauce in my bowls.

    Saikoro steak with white rice.
    Kevin R.

Had the Saikoro steak with white rice, cucumbers, tomatoes, wonton chips, torched cheese, green onion, red cabbage, red onion, furnace, and togarashi mayo sauce. I omitted the mushrooms. This is one of the few poke places I have been to that has meat options like both steak and chicken. For me, this made it one of my new favorites.

I'm always excited to try new poke places as it gets boring to always eat Poke Guys. I tried the build your own bowl option since I'm picky about my toppings. I was excited to try the taro chips which are an unusual offering and available to order as a side as well. The chips were great and added a crunch to the poke bowl, but I found the rest of it kind of bland. It definitely tasted more on the healthy side which may be what some people are looking for, but I prefer the marinated poke that most other places offer.

ONO is right, because that's exactly what I said after taking my first bite. I love poke, but this did not cure my hankering. Maybe it's because I ordered through Uber eats, but I don't think I would give it another try. The quality wasn't really an issue but more so the taste. It just didn't really taste that good. Maybe it's slightly cheaper than other poke spots but I'd rather pay more for something a little better. Nothing is seasoned. Everything is bland and the only thing you have to tie in the flavours is the sauce. You need the premium toppings like the seaweed salad and crab salad to carry the flavours together. The portion of fish is really small and it's not enough for the amount of rice and other veggies you get. It doesn't taste like poke, it tastes like salad. I was more surprised that the fish wasn't seasoned. I tried a piece on its own and it's just cut up unseasoned fish. Yes I know that's what poke is, but usually places will marinade it in soy sauce or something at the very least. Sad to say it was not very good. I had to add ingredients from home to make it more palatable. I've made better poke at home with less ingredients. Imagine eating sushi but they forgot to season the rice. That's pretty much what this tasted like, but cut the portion of fish in half. I was looking forward to trying the crab salad the most but they forgot to include it with the order. What a shame since that probably would have added some much needed flavour.

ONO poke bar recently celebrated the grand opening of their 7th location in Markham. They are serving up some of their most delicious Hawaiian Asian inspired poke bowls which are loaded with fresh ingredients with a focus on quality and health. They also feature some very unique ingredients in their bowls such as taro chips and crispy wontons. I was thoroughly impressed that I could taste the freshness in each bowl and it wasn't loaded with added salt or seasonings that normally leave me thirsty. Everything was very clean and light and naturally flavorful. What I ordered: Ono torched paradise Taro chips, Avocado, torched salmon and tuna, crab meat, seaweed salad, pickled ginger and teriyaki mayo sauce. Kabayaki Unagi Unagi, crabmeat salad, cherry tomatoes, crispy wontons, masago, unagi tare sauce. Dont miss out on their current lunch special BOGO DEALexclusively at their Markham location. From March 4th to March 13th between 11 to 2pm you can get BOGO on their Saikoro Beef and Avocado chicken bowls. Also stay tuned for more deals throughout the month of March as the celebrations continue! Service was amazing and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Parking can be somewhat of an issues at this plaza during peak times
