Roast Pork (@miguelmoralesphotography on Instagram)

I really liked the roast pork and other meat cuts that my friends got! I got the manapua and thought it was alright, I wish it had a slight bit more filling but it was a good price for what was offered! - Miguel Morales Photography

Best Chinese roast pork, roast duck, custard tarts, manapua, and dim sum on Island. The roast pork is crispy, juicy, and flavorful. The egg tarts light and fluffy. Baked char siu manapua are tasty and airy. Dim sum- pork hash, siu mai and har gow are steamed and fresh. All items are served with hot mustard. When I need my dim sum fix, Only Ono BBQ is my go to.

Wow! Only Ono is so Ono. A true Hawaiian gem. A must have if your on Maui. The crispy pork is amazing. Make sure to check the schedule before making the trip.

Ok I'm going to keep this simple. I'm pretty strict on my reviews but this place is a slam dunk place. Get the roast pork. And make sure you order ahead. This place has my literal favorite roast pork ever. The meat itself is moist, flavorful, and the texture of the skin is like a chicharron. That's it. Get it.

Ok, I tried them again today. Wanted dim sum. Tried something new: their manapua. Also gave their har gao and sticky rice another chance. Manapua: good flavor! But I got raw dough and ate some accidentally since it was on the bottom of the manapua (hope I don't get sick). Har gao: good flavor, different from dim sum ones but good. The pi still needs work (it's very thick and chewy/hard). Sticky rice: good flavor. But some rice grains were hard--needs more cooking time. Their service is faster than my initial review, so that's a plus! Food is better! Not quite what you'd expect when you think of Hong Kong dim sum, but it curbs the craving. Ordering is still the same: online and correspondence via text. Drive Up, park in numbered cone, text your car details and name, and wait. They detail this in the confirmation text/email, and also have signage upon driving up. All in all their flavors are good, just technical details like cooking time and execution could use some work.

Best dim sum on the island. Maybe the only one. But everything here is good. You need to pre-order most things online days before and then pickup on Saturday or Sunday. Check website for details. I like how the good tastes healthier than traditional dim sum. No MSG

I've been hearing great things about this place so I was excited to find out they were catering the food at an event I attended. Due to Covid, the food was served in take out containers. It included chow fun, crispy pork belly, pork hash, and some type of dim sum (not sure of the name). Everything was really good! The chow fun was perfectly seasoned and made the old school way. The pork belly was tender and juicy and really crispy! The pork hash was as good as what you find in Chinatown. I'm not sure of the other dim sum in the plate. But it was good too. I've heard this place sells out fast and it can be hard to place orders. Now I know why! This place is tucked in Heritage Hall in Makawao.

Finally got a chance to try Only Ono BBQ and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Of course we had to try the Chinese Roast Duck which was delicious. The sides were Chow Fun and Lo Mai Fan along with pork and shrimp Siu Mai and Har Gow. The Hargow stole the show for me...so Ono! It was a fantastic feast of a meal that we loved! We did to go from Paia and enjoyed at home. Service was great with easy online ordering and they bring the food to your vehicle.

Our first time trying here and Everything we ordered was amazing! Great tasting!!! I recommend trying everything on the menu! The roast pork is cooked to perfection! You won't be disappointed! Pictures on my post are of everything we tried.... And we ended up ordering more.

The dim sum here is good. It's not authentic, but I love the Hawaiian twist on some of the dishes. I did feel like some of the stuff had way too much carb on it. Some of the dishes had too much bread or wrapping that my husband and I had to just throw away ton of bread. I do wish there was more filling in some of the dishes. My favorite was the pineapple bun! I loved how it had actual pineapple filling inside of it. I also loved the pork buns! The bun was a sweet milk bread which was soft and paired perfectly withe the salty pork inside! All in all a good place to check out.

Crispy pork...lol Fatty BBQ pork...ugh!

They made my favorite salad of my trip... it was a very simple green salad made with local sweet onions and greens that was a must order with every meal. The deviled eggs with lobster was another favorite. The fish and chips, tuna melt, burger, and mahi sandwich were all good. I would pass on the happy hour pizza and fried dumplings - both were more dough than topping or filling.

For anyone thinking of coming here in the future, please do so because the food and service are just phenomenal. Upon entering the restaurant, we were surprised by how upscale the environment was. We originally sat at a table but were moved to the bar area in order to take advantage of their happy hour. The mocktails were so terrific that we wanted to try more but held ourselves back because we needed to save some room for dessert. I highly recommend the Coconut Pandan Lemonade. The bright green color scared me a little, but it was delish and packed some strong pandan flavor. We tried all of the bao wows options since they were just $5 each during happy hour. I appreciate how they all had their unique presentation and taste. But the best part of our meal was undoubtedly the Kaya Toast (hawaiian bread | coconut pandan jam | kona coffee ice cream marcona | ginger syrup ) The bread was deep fried, providing a nice texture that complemented the ice cream. And there was fricken coconut pandan jam in the middle of the bread too!! We were a bit worried about the ice cream being coffee flavor since we're not into coffee like that but it wasn't strong at all. The coconut pandan jam just tied everything together wonderfully. Huge props to the bartender for convincing us to get the kaya toast!

They offer valet parking at no charge, real treat for Lahaina. Just tip the valet. Our server was Max who was very helpful and had total command of the menu. We started with the pressed duck bao followed by the pork dumplings and garlic noodles with chicken and an order of green beans. All 4 of these were really good. The pressed duck bao being the star of the 4. In addition we had the Crispy egg noodles with all kinds of veggies. The plate as delivered was basically tasteless and the crispy noodles were all fused like two nests, one on each end with a pile of stir fried veggies in the middle. We got some hot sauce and soy sauce and mixed it in the plate to soften the noodles and give it some flavor. That made it better but not good. We informed Max of our feelings on the plate and when the bill came the manager taken the Crispy noodles off our tab, class act. Thank you. The rating is actually 3 1/2 stars but Yelp has no half stars.

We were…read moreable to nab a table in the shade, but apparently everyone had the same idea as we did, to get lunch there. The lines were ridiculously long, so we gave up and went to Suis instead. It's just around the corner from WF. The public restrooms are close by the restaurant. BTW before I get into my review: I was able to pay by credit card. This is early January 2023. This is a small family business run by friendly folks. They have a lengthy menu but also have a decent-sized offering of ready-to-go foods, including vegetarian selections. There is seating inside and a couple of tables with chairs and a few random chairs outside the "door," which isn't really a door: The entire front of the restaurant opens up to the small courtyard area. My friend and I wanted to get to the eating and talking, so we opted for the pre-made food. There is fried rice and noodles, but I skipped those for dietary reasons. I had the broccoli beef and dried string beans with chicken. I did get charged for two dishes so it ended up being a bit expensive for me, but I have to stick to my diet. I love crispy gau gee, and wanted to buy one, but it came only as a whole order, so I skipped it. There were also spring rolls. I was worried, too, about sodium levels as Chinese food tends to be high in sodium. This was not, thankfully, which is good for me since I tend to retain water. But that also means the food was a little bland. My other main criticism was there was not enough beef in the broccoli beef. It was pretty sparse. I'm sure the high cost of beef contributed to this. So I got good servings of veggies, but not enough protein for me. That evening I had to have a large influx of roasted chicken to compensate. I would like to come back sometime and try something off the menu, and have some crispy gau gee and spring rolls (even though I really shouldn't, diet-wise). While I like WF for various reasons, it's also good to support local businesses.

We did try the crab pizza which seemed like an aberration to everything else. Definitely do not order that. Cocktails were pretty great too. Service is solid. If I had to nitpick, you are paying high dollars but the ambience is not quite the same as a four-star hotel or Gather. I mean, it is a general store...so there is a slight value to price mismatch.
