They had an very good selection of fish and in the best condition I've ever seen. There was no smell and even the sump they had on display was very well maintained. I visited on 9/21/16 and the guy at the front desk told me they planned on setting up freshwater tanks and getting in a selection of fish in 2 to 3 months, so sometime around the end of the year or so.

It is up to you to properly quarantine your fish and ensure its long term health. Having said that, most of the fish I purchased here are still with me. Around 3 months ago, I purchased a powder blue tang, which is considered as an ick magnet, and properly quarantined it. This fish never came down with ick and I only quarantined for observation and not medicate it. It is now fat and happy. If you buy fish anywhere, make sure it looks healthy, it eats at the store and quarantine it for a minimum of 4 weeks.

A $30 dollar fix will cost them 100's if not 1,000's in negative PR.

I tend to call ahead of time to see if he has specific things I'm looking for and Dennis will usually be pretty good at letting you know if its available. One time he also found something after I called and he followed up to let me know he found it and saved it for me. It is a smaller shop and may have more of an eclectic variety of livestock but they seem to carry quite a bit of equipment. I do wish it were closer so I could just make an easy trip to check things out but it may be good that its further for me as I can't always buy new things.
