this place is money hungry! Has no knowledge in its animals. I came for a calcium powder for my beardie walked right out that place angry. They had a baby bearded dragon who looked malnourished and sick, I asked the lady in front if they had uvb on them which is crucial to their health, she paused for a long time, looked confused and just said yeah, I said where she said the sunlight. There no way "sunlight" is getting to them. They need a uvb light bar no bs sunlight. I raised a bearded dragon myself and she never looked like this. If they are going to sell reptiles, they better have the right tank setup and know what they are talking about. I tried to save her but was unable to. This is animal abuse and will be reported. STAY AWAY!!! Just went in to see if they had cat food. This is an fish and aquarium store that also happens to sell birds. That's it. Hardly a "pet store". I was inside for barely 30 seconds before leaving. None of the employees have a mask on. They're all eating and talking to each other openly in the middle of the store. Not worth the risk of Covid. I purely came to browse this time. This place is very clean when i came & didnt smell. It's clearly family owned, which I honestly prefer over big company retailers. I didn't have enough time to see how healthy all the animals looked, but they all had food and water and enclosures were clean & actively being cleaned. My only complaint is that they don't carry feeder insects like springtails & i didnt see meal worms, which is good to have for people buying their reptiles and spiders, but if they don't get a lot of foot traffic I can't exactly blame them it is just less convenient than having everything a new pet owner will need to take home. They have tons of different animals. Fish, reptiles, spiders, snakes, and I think i saw some guinea pigs so small fur buddies too :) These shops often get overlooked, so consider buying from small businesses so the animals can have a good forever home! read more

Bought a turtle from there. Personnel: the woman who mans the counter doesn't seem to know much about the animals there. The workers have a much better grasp but seem to be responsible for just about everything in the store. Availability: seems hard to reach people there in the mornings. 10 am seems arbitrary as the Open Time as the phone never seems to get answered at that time. They should consider a roll-over service. Good inventory. They seem to have more turtles and the most diverse turtle inventory in Houston. I was actually referred to them by someone at PetSmart. read more

I have been shopping for aquarium supplies for years. The price of most things are reasonable. They have a good selection of fish. The tanks are over priced. I buy filters every month and they have the best prices in town. Beware of buying fish. They almost always die within a week and they give no replacements or refunds. read more

Do not buy from this store. They sell sick animals and do not stand by their products. I spent 160.00 in this place. And they are not even willing to replace the two birds that died. Because of illness. BTW. They are the only birds sick. The ones I bought from them. I have other birds that have lived for years. This is the first time I have had a problem and they refuse to replace two sick birds. Totaling 30.00. That is a small amount considering I have shopped there for years. I took my kids there. My father bought me things there. I have never had a problem until now. And they refuse to help me. Never again. They do not back their product. Word to the wise shop at a pet store that will give you at least some sort of guarantee. Most do now but not this one. Buyer beware. If they sell you sick animals. Very fairly priced and owners are very helpful and knowledgeable. Came here to buy things for my turtles that I was not very informed about and they helped me find what I needed and also instructed me on how to use the items I purchased. If I could give zero stars or negative stars that's what they would get I have been going here for years to get different animal products different toys and several several animals from them and I have purchased two different animals on separate occasions both of which died within a weeks time one that most recently died in 24 hours of its purchase and they absolutely will do nothing to remedy the situation.
