Prices of coral are laughable. I hope people shop around and compare prices before purchasing...

They have a great selection of fish, coral, and everything that goes with salt and fresh water tanks. What makes this place great is the service. We had a problem where some of our fish died (supplied by another store) and we called T & T. They said to just bring some water in and they would analyze it.. FOR FREE. They did just that and told us what was wrong. Our Nitrites were way too high. They said 'we could sell you a bunch of stuff, but what you need is a massive water change'. I appreciated how they were very helpful and didn't try and sell us a bunch of stuff that would have made a negligible difference. I have also found that everything I used to buy at Fish Ranch (off of 59) is just a little cheaper at T & T. As we all know, service is often the difference and here it makes a huge difference!

They check every tank daily to verify the health of their fish. They are also great at diagnosing problems and recommending treatments. How do I know all of this? Because we recently bought some guppies from the Petco nearby, since we had a gift card. After bringing them home, they infected our well established tank and killed all of the fish but one, which we are trying to save. Petco does not have the safety protocols T&T has. T&T has given us recommendations to try to help us save our remaining fish. We will now only buy fish from T&T. This is not our only good experience. We have been buying fish and supplies from T&T for years. They are extremely helpful and truly know what they are talking about.

This is a smaller LFS that focuses on saltwater/reef tanks. They have quite a few frag tanks with various softies, LPS, and SPS corals that all seem healthy and fairly priced. The staff has always been super patient and helpful when I have questions or when I just want to browse. They've been nice about letting me be particular when choosing specific fish/inverts/corals. They're also very knowledgeable and helpful, especially as I'm still new to this side of the hobby. It seems like Oceanlife is a staple among reef keepers in the area and they've definitely built relationships with folks. People get greeted by first name and seem to be able to special order things as well. All around, it seems like what you look for in a LFS!

Even with the new adjusted hours I unknowingly came in a minute before closing and to my surprise, Nick still took the time to patiently test my water thoroughly and refused to sell me any fish or corals because my water still wasn't ready. Fast forward a couple weeks later and my water is finally ready and they will be seeing a lot of me! What attracted me to this place is that the store is super clean and the prices are generally better than any other marine-life store in the Houston area. The staff is always super friendly, professional and knowledgeable which I am so thankful for as an aquarium novice such as myself. If you're looking for anything saltwater tank related- ocean life should be one of your top choices!!

His shop has a variety of corals, fish, and some inverts along with lots of equipment available as well. I tend to call ahead of time to see if he has specific things I'm looking for and Dennis will usually be pretty good at letting you know if its available. One time he also found something after I called and he followed up to let me know he found it and saved it for me. It is a smaller shop and may have more of an eclectic variety of livestock but they seem to carry quite a bit of equipment. I do wish it were closer so I could just make an easy trip to check things out but it may be good that its further for me as I can't always buy new things.

Great, but was it because I spent allot of money? The last time I went I just needed 2 5gallon jugs of saltwater, I felt like no one wanted to even acknowledge that I walked in with the jugs and then when they got filled no one offered to help me to my car. I struggled and made 2 trips to get them into my car and now that I'm seeing this is not an isolated experience I will not be returning. How lame is it to watch a female struggle to carry something while you just sit and watch lol and you think people will want to come back? Jokes

When I picked them up, I discovered a cut on one dog's paw that was bleeding, along with a cut on the right side of my other dog's eye. I wasn't informed about these injuries at the time of pickup. While I understand that accidents can occur, I would have appreciated a heads-up. Initially, I thought the blood on the car seat was from menstruation, and I only noticed Malu's injury after we got out of the car. This was the first time we encountered such issues, and it would have been helpful to be notified that both dogs had cuts. I attempted to call for clarification and sent two emails and text messages, but I never received a response. I would appreciate at least a call back as I haven't heard anything at all.

Before scheduling an appointment, I asked for a groomer who worked well with senior dogs and who would be patient and gentle. My 9 pound 15 year old dog had just had dental surgery the week before, so I instructed Randy to not wash her face, brush her teeth or touch her mouth. I just wanted him to bathe her and tidy her up around her rear and legs. I came to pick her up about two hours later and she was not ready. I waited another 45 minutes or so and was asked to pay before Daphne was brought out. The attached pictures is how she looked when I picked her up. Roland, the manager said that Randy was not able to cut her hair because Daphne was resistant. He stated Randy attempted to muzzle my dog and she bit him but I never saw the bite marks in person. Daphne had just had all her front and bottom teeth extracted and could barely chew at this point. I called the owner and he met me at the store. He would not allow me to speak to Randy in person and said Randy was in the back and did not want to come out. I asked to see the bite marks and he showed me a picture of four puncture wounds but there was no face in the picture. Daphe could not have done this amount of damage. When I went to pick up Daphne, she yelped and walked away from me. Her tail was between her legs and she was visibly shaken and scared as you can see in the pictures. The owner gave me money to get another groom, but for the rest of the day until the next morning if I attempted to touch Daphne around her neck, she would yelp. I had to make her come from under the bed to use the bathroom and she only did that one time. I stressed to the groomer not to touch Daphne's mouth because of the dental surgery and he attempted to muzzle her and apparently rough handled her trying to get the muzzle on causing pain to her neck. I contacted the owner that evening via text but he did not respond. The next morning I took her to the ER where they said there was trauma to her neck. The morning before the grooming appt. Daphne went to her dental follow up and did not react at her when the vet, tech or myself picked her up. It was not until after her visit at Pet Evolution, that she responded negatively to touch. I called the owner back after the ER visit and left a message but to date, he has been unresponsive. My dog has been on pain meds since her visit on March 16th. She is getting better but went through a lot of pain over this man who rough handled her. Daphne has been getting groomed for over 12 years and she has never been turned away for misbehaving or resisting a bath or cut. I am livid at this groomer and establishment and feel that they should be responsible for vet costs. The owner, Harry, has blatantly disregarding me and this matter. Anyone who treats customers like this deserves to be out of business. I hope every customer thinking about giving Pet Evolution their business will think twice before doing so.
