We started with half a hot & cold house paid $1400 for update vent & ductwork and graduated to a complete hot house even tipped both snake tech Matt & Daniel cash & keep them hydrated the whole time was told to wait 24 hr and the whole property was hotter than ever. Called and they wouldn't even send a tech back the same day. Forced us to schedule in line after manager called back to make excuses for their poor work like maybe they were scared and stating we should expect them to come back 2-3 times to get it right. Each time I called it was like the first time I called. they are very disorganized the left hand doesn't know what the right had it doing. they did an generator cable to breaker box and ended coming out like 5 times. the last man who came spent 40 minutes in the drive way and did nothing. when I asked his for his name he pointed and said it's on his shirt. He had come to give me a gas cable but it was the wrong one. so he says well you can keep this one but it's the wrong size. they are unprofessional had bad attitud. (Which I was given and have in writing) I fronted the money on parts, which was my fault and should've been a big red flag. His last conversation with me was a cussing rant and then hanging up on me. Real professional. He also tried to brag about having an American Express with a $ 30k limit. So, he has that but I had to buy the parts? I wish it was a more happy experience as a whole, but as anyone who needs a plumber is probably not in a great situation. I had a water main leak caused by a tree removal. Zach was out super fast and identified the issue and even more issues that I was unaware of caused by the builder (PvC underground piping not buried deep enough, PvC connected to the house, PvC direct across line of roots of a very big and dearly missed tree, etc) One Call is very honest and open about pricing and options and did an amazing job with high quality craftmanship. Tech Josh, Came to fix floating switch. He opened panel and told me there was no water build up. He dried sensor and unit came back on. 5hrs later unit kicks off. I go take off panel and as you can see from the pic there was this gel build up that was in the pan which tripped the float switch. I called about repair to a commercial AC unit and the dispatcher was very friendly. Everything was a complete disaster after that. Technicians showed up, charged me $800 for Freon and some "cleaning" then crossed 2 wires to my AC compressor which blew the motor. Then they sent me an estimate for $8k to replace the whole unit. I called a different company and they explained that the wires were crossed (I certainly believe intentionally) and they replaced the motor for $500, wired it back CORRECTLY and has been working fine for 2 months now. I explained all of this to OneCall management and got nothing but a bunch of excuses for over 2 weeks and a promise to send me a picture of the wires that their tech took. It has been 3 weeks since then and still no picture. (Because it doesn't exist!). I have given them 2 months to try and resolve this and I assure you they don't care. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU ARE ALREADY PLANNING ON REPLACING YOUR UNIT BC THEY WILL MAKE SURE THAT IS WHAT YOU "NEED" Sad that during these times there are businesses out there intentionally taking advantage of others. read more

They broke the wires behind my thermostat, got one wire stuck in Ecobee unit, made my Ecobee inoperable/broke it, were able to get the a/c to finally work again , then charged me around $200. Also, they said they'd come run insulation on my coolant line, got maybe 40% finished then never returned to finish the job. I'd never recommend this company. One Call Plumbing- nope! Late June 2021 I tried to call my local plumber to fix a simple clogged kitchen sink. Somehow I ended up dialing One Call. I made the appointment and when I realized they were not who I intended to call I figured I would give them a chance- assuming anyone could do this easy job. They definitely need a new name because 2 months later my kitchen sink is clogged again. When they arrived in June, they worked quickly at the kitchen sink clean-out and came inside to run some water and check the sink. I asked if they had snaked all the way to where we had previously found a dip in the line. The main guy gave a gruff reply- which gave me no confidence that he had done a through job but again- this was not a tough job. I paid over $200 for 30 minutes work- fair enough if they had actually cleaned the line out properly. End of August- TWO MONTHS LATER- the sink is backing up again! We are very meticulous about wiping down dishes because we are aware of the problem in the line, but even when my husband snaked out the line with his manual tool the line stayed clear for a year. So I called to give them a chance to make things right. The dispatcher offered to waive the $40 service call and referred me to the service manager. After explaining the situation to the service manager, he flatly told me that they offer only a 30 day warranty. I agreed that if they had done the work properly the first time I would not expect them to return unpaid and explained the circumstances. He flatly refused to make good on their work. Since they were incapable of doing a simple job properly the first time, I said I would not throw good money after bad and will be calling my local, reputable plumber. Their business model is clearly to spend money to get their number to pop up prominently on Google but not to stand behind their work. Onecall has been out SEVERAL times to work on a zoned air conditioning unit. It works for a couple of weeks and then they come back. Yesterday we were told that even though it's not fixed, there isn't anything wrong with our unit? Really?! It freezes up EVERY DAY but there's nothing wrong with it. What I like about this company is it's locally owned, they have a very experienced dispatcher who quickly understands the issue, and they have up-to-date vans full of supplies. I've used their services a couple of times recently. I found Roger to be particularly helpful with plumbing. He politely answered all my questions, clearly explained options and then efficiently fixed the problem. (I tried to replace a leaking shower faucet myself and stripped the screw. Mixed blessings - Spend time on clarity of what you get for your money I called OneCall when my upstairs unit in my townhome stopped cooling. I wanted to use someone in my neighbourhood to support my local community. OneCall was immediately available and sent someone right away. The tech brought sophisticated equipment and convinced me that I needed a new evaporator coil in the attic. He said I also have a small leak in the outdoor condenser and that I should consider replacing it in the future. He said that once I did that, I would enjoy a comprehensive warranty of the entire system which would be registered with the manufacturer although I don't remember the terms (shame on me). The unit was working again, but my repeated requests for paperwork were eventually met with a simple services rendered showing my total amount due, $2,260 with no detail whatsoever. One month later, the A/C is out again, this time on Saturday. Again, OneCall came out promptly to investigate. Unfortunately, the A/C tech was "old school", didn't bring out the same leak sensing or pressure testing equipment and opened up the wrong unit in the attic. He didn't check paperwork on file for my house despite my advice to do so and proceeded to leak check the brand new evaporator coil internals rather than the connections or the condenser coil outside. Ultimately, he found the outside leak and said that the previous technician had missed an obvious large leak before (ouch, that hurts). Now, it was time for the new condenser. I wanted to upgrade to the latest environmentally acceptable Freon (410 rather than 22) so I got a quote for a new unit. I was told that the $700 recharge of Freon over the weekend would be taken out of the new unit. The tech professed high praise for the company owner, Edgar and said that they only used top class equipment. I was late for work and they did not have the parts in hand as previously stated so I had to give them a cc and went to work. I paid $2,800 which I assumed included a deduct for the $700 freon and would be a top, 3 ton model from Trane. When I got home, I learned that I was sold a "builder" model which is definitely not a top model and that there was no deduction. To add insult to injury, the manufacturer's website says they offer a standard 10 year warranty yet OneCall only offered 5 years. So, for $5,760 I am the proud owner of a system which is arguably no better than what was originally installed and can expect to pay it again in 6 years which is the same lifetime as the original builder unit. If I had really dug into this, I would have declined the initial $700 charge for R22 Freon and stayed downstairs for the weekend to keep cool. I would have gotten a quote for a specific condenser unit of demonstrable value and a warrantee commensurate with the manufacturers standard warranty. I phoned the owner to advise him of this dissatisfaction and requested that he review the files and advise what he could do to address this. He acknowledged that his tech had not been in the field for some time and might have been a bit rusty. He promised to call back with a proposed solution as his customer's satisfaction is important to him. Three weeks later and nothing back from him. I suggest that future callers to OneCall challenge the qualifications of who they plan to send out, get crystal clear on what you will receive for your money, challenge the chosen approach and demand details on your paperwork before you sign. Despite their stated pride and commitment in working for a "great guy", prospective customers should ignore this and instead get details, details, details. read more

I found them on yelp and call for their service since it offers free estimate which is a plus. Edgar was courteous and scheduled the same day for their technician to fix my leaking faucet. He said just need to replace the moen cartridge and tell me the quote over the phone which is so reasonable price compares to john Moore that told me I need to get a high end new faucet at $499 instead of telling me what they really need to replace was a cartridge for this small fix. Then advice me to change out the other one too since it will be different facets for double the price they quote. Guess what? One call fixed the lavatory faucet leak like less than 30 minutes. Done. I like their honesty and didn't try to rip you off with unnecessary and ridiculous options. Overall great and prompt service. Didn't cost me a bomb! And they all told me 10k to replace berthing was a rip off. I would use this company again to fix the ac problem. They recharged my A/C system with 5lbs R-410A refrigerant and charged 84$ per pound = $420. Only after the tech recharged the system did he tell me how many lbs it needed and how much the total price per pound was gonna be, therefore I am dissapointed with their price per pound. After I did some research I found out 84$ a pound is on the extreme high end for the national average and especially Houston. read more

A technician/salesman came out to check my AC unit which was not operating. I was told that the repair would cost around 1700 to get more freon (older system on r-22) and fix the fan or whatever else was wrong or 10k for a whole new system. After calling some other more trust worthy, not money hungry individuals, I only ended up paying 200 and my system is running and cooling just fine. Used this business unit right after purchasing a home and having AC issues. (Yes, I had a home inspection done and it was A-OK) I was essentially conned into getting a whole home system replaced. (On a positive note, the 5TON AC system cools great) We had issues with the unit not cooling our upstairs initially. There were all kinds of excuses but in the end they fixed it by installing exposed duct in the upstairs. Their Customer Service Reps leave much to be desired. Now that I know better I can tell you to shop around before getting a system with these guys. I was visiting a buddy in Houston last week. We woke up one morning and the air was blowing, but cold it was not. The AC repair company had a technician over faster than the pizza delivery guy. He did a thorough once over of the system and found that it had a freon leak or something. Since he had all the tools he needed with him, he got to work and before my friend's wife could start complaining about how hot it was in the house...again, the cool air was blowing. What I liked best about One call Air Conditioning repair is, other guys who came out for standard yearly system testing always tried to sell my friend a new system with scare tactics. The One Call guy said that maybe a good thing in the future, but the one they had still had a lot of life in it. He advised holding off on that expense for now. I rarely write reviews but after so many years of care and service from One Call...it's time. I called yesterday for just a yearly check of my AC. I really didn't expect next day service for a non-emergent call, but that's what I was offered, with a 30 minute pre-visit convenience call. Ricky called during the promised window and said Bobby was on the way. Opened the door this morning and Bobby smiled and said "oh, I remember you!" Indeed Bobby has been here before, as has Edgar, the owner of the company. Bobby took extra time checking and rechecking both my units and thoroughly cleaning the unit outside. I asked Bobby to schedule me for a return visit to service the tankless hot water system they installed the same time the AC was installed--but to make sure he is the one assigned to my call. If I was asked to put a plaque on Edgar's office door it would say "IF SERVICE IS BENEATH YOU, THEN LEADERSHIP IS BEYOND YOU." And that's how he runs his business! read more

Plumbing....I had recently brought an older home that had not been occupied for a while all drains were clogged. They unclogged the main sewer line /found it . ..it was hidden....recommended I raise so you can see it above ground like you should and my main sewer line needed to be replaced damaged from being old and tree roots. 10 year warranty . The service was very quick, I needed an ventilation controller as mine was giving out an E3 alarm, the technician came out, stayed for 10 minutes, deduced I needed a new one, came back the next day, fitted said controller and charged $525 for 20 mins work and a $70 part, never stayed around to make sure the ac started working again, which it never, came back the next day and found an apparent leak on the system, my ac system is less then 5 years old, which the technician kept telling me in older systems leaks are frequent, he never found a leak and changed me an additional $465. After 20 years, 2 of my master's bathroom faucets had some leak issues and corroded metal around one handle. The handles were stuck and could not be replaced without taking out the whole thing. In the meantime they fixed some other problems with the faucets and told me if I could get DELTA to replace the fixtures they would come back and install it as part of what I paid for when they came. DELTA finally came through after 2 weeks and a lot of back and forth emailing but to their credit they sent me 2 brand new faucets although the originals were discontinued, these were similar and complete systems.
