5 Stars for Paul and Coco-The two brothers were great: professional, fast, and handled everything with care. 5 stars for pricing- No additional or hidden charges. It was what I expected! 3 stars for lack of communication- I moved many times , and boxes where always available and provided to me even at a cost when I needed! I specifically asked for wardrobe boxes which I didn't get. Had I known a head of time, I would have bought some myself! However, I didn't get a call nor any sort of communication until the movers arrived. They offer up to 50 free boxes, but I was not told that I had to pick those up a head of time. 1 star for Annette (if I remember her name right!)- She was very rude and unprofessional. This moving company was horrible. The owner came out and told me "no problem" and that everything was going to fit in one 26 foot truck. He quoted me a set price and told me it would not change and was not based on weight. I let him know that we were not taking a bed frame but he misunderstood and said that I told him we were not taking any beds. When the movers came they were not able to fit everything into a truck and charged us for a second pick up truck the next day. What was left over was much more than 2 beds which we ended up taking. We also provided a list of all that was going from a previous mover and they confirmed that it would all fit into that set price. In addition, we had to put our stuff in storage with them for a week because our house didn't close on time and when it was time for them to bring our stuff to Idaho they said that the truck weighed too much and that they were going to have to bring it in two loads and charge us more money again. When they arrived with the first truck they hired local people with little or no moving experience to unload the truck even though they had promised professional movers. The second truck arrived several days later after several delays and there was no one to unload it other than the driver. We had big items like mattresses and furniture so my husband had to help as there was no one else to help the driver who has just been hired in Tijuana a few days prior. Several of our items were damaged (ripped couch, broken plastic boxes, broken bowls, damaged table corners), and they also "misplaced" several other items that were important to us. They told us to file a claim but that we basically had no recourse. No one knew what happened to those missing items and we have not seen them since. They were very unprofessional in handling all our troubles and even hung up on my husband when he tried to ask for money back. It was pretty much a nightmare moving with this company and I do not recommend them at all. We will report them with the Better Business Bureau and have filed a claim though we do not expect it to go anywhere. Beware when you hire moving companies as many of them will hold your stuff hostage and try to scam you! read more

They had four rooms of furniture and boxes with 30 years of stuff from our office out the door, loaded, and delivered to our house and garage in a couple of hours. Everything arrived in great shape. This was one of the few times I've used movers, so I got a lot of quotes and went with One Stop Moving and Storage because I felt that it was the most reliable and with the best price of all the quotes I received. I have a lot of mirrors and art, so I stressed the importance of protecting all of these pieces and making sure they arrived to my new place in the same condition they left my old place. I was very nervous but luckily I was not disappointed. Here are some of the pros I found from using this company: 1) I got a quote from nearly a dozen moving companies and One Stop Moving and Storage provided me with the best rates, especially for the amount of labor I required. There were no sneaky fees and no hidden bills at the end of my move which I really appreciated!! 2) I have a lot of stuff and they were out in a very timely manner. It took around 5 hours to get all of my stuff from my old place to my new place, I was expecting it to take wayyyy longer than it did! They saved me A LOT of time and saved me A LOT of stress in doing so! They had large enough trucks and large enough moving supplies and packing materials for all of my stuff. 3) All of my items were packaged and protected exactly as I had hoped for. They treated my stuff with the care and respect they would treat their own stuff with. I'm very grateful that they didn't throw things around, were cautious in their carrying, made their way through doorways very carefully, and made sure not to damage anything along the way. They were cautious, secure, and thorough, and everything arrived in perfect condition. 4) I didn't have any problems with any of my items once my move was complete. I have heard horror stories of moving companies breaking items or puncturing walls, and I did not have any of these problems (or anything even close to it!!!) with One Stop! It was my First time hiring a moving company and it was overall a good experience. The office was respectful and had patience with me asking question sense it was my first time getting movers and very professional. When the movers arrived to the pick up they arrived on time and polite . They got right to work and were fast protecting all my furniture and even disassembled and wrapped everything good no damages wich was my concern but they did great no damages at all . We were in a bind when another moving company we had hired didn't show up and we had to be out of our rental that day (during peak moving time at the end of the month when no one else seemed to have any availability). Sarah and Elad were awesome on the phone, super nice people, said they could do it for us and they quoted a fair price which, BTW ended up being LESS than what our original company had quoted us! Our movers were David, Jose, and Carlos and I can't say enough positive things about them! They showed up on time and told me they'd take care of everything - I was so relieved. They moved quickly and worked hard and they were polite and mindful with our stuff. They came out to the house to review our move... that was the positive. No other mover came out. They said it was an easy job. (It wasn't). They said they were available for our move dates. We called the next day to confirm booking and then we were told they weren't available anymore so we booked another mover. I feel they should have given us the first right of refusal but maybe the other move was more lucrative. Then their office called the day before our move to confirm their packers were coming. Logistically, their office organization and their sales staff appear disorganized and are not coordinated. My advice is to book your movers well in advance. read more

I used one Stop Movers to move me and they accidentally broke our 1200.00 tv now they only want to pay me 8.40!! When the guy broke it he assured me that it wasn't a problem and they would take care of this. Now there's a problem and 8.40 isn't gonna cut it. We hired One Stop Moving and Storage as they advertised they moved pianos. Per their recommendation, 3 movers were hired in order to move the piano, instead of 2. The first part of the move was from a one level home into storage. The lead mover was well experienced and the crew was on time & fast. Arriving at the storage unit, though, the $3000 La-Z boy Sofa Sleeper which was wrapped in plastic, was jammed into the storage facility. It was during the second part of the move, which occurred 3 months later that the damages (rips & black streaks) were noticed on the Sofa. The lead mover was no longer with the company and it was obvious that when it was time to move the console piano up 28 steps that they had no idea how to proceed. Approximately two hours of time was spent attempting to move the piano as well as waiting for a 4th person sent by One Stop was to no avail. The piano had to be placed into our garage storage space. There was min. of 1 1/2 hours that we were not credited. They did not charge for the 4th person. We later hired professional piano movers and two exceptional workers from San Diego Piano Movers completed the job in 30 minutes. We filed a damage claim with One Stop's Insurer, CSI for the damaged La-Z Boy. With mindful attention to each line of each of the pages required and providing full documentation with pictures, we received a reply that, although, the estimates (from 3 different upholsterers) ranged from a low of $225 - 743.60, they would reimburse us only $72.00. We could dispute by sending more documentation, but if the dispute was disapproved, even the $72 would be lost. All documentation & pictures were already submitted. read more

One of the better moving experiences I've had in awhile since I've lived in San Diego. I've used a few different moving companies and something always breaks or they don't show up on time. These guys showed up on time (they gave me an hour long window, which is much better to set expectations that there is a window of time that they could arrive than to tell me that they'll show up at 8am and they don't show up until 8:30). I was moving from one side of Carlsbad to another so I wanted to find a local moving company within Carlsbad so that if something went wrong or was left on the truck by accident (it's happened to me with another company in the past) that I wouldn't have to drive across San Diego to pick it up or deal with a company that was too far away for me to work with face to face if I needed. It looked like this company had offices for their moving company all over San Diego county so I picked the Carlsbad Moving office and worked with them. I can tell they work in this area often (if not exclusively?) bc they knew every zip code, street and area I was talking about to them. The move took a long time, but they told me that they wouldn't finish until around 7pm and they were right, so once again at least they set those expectations around timing for me. And at first I thought they just wanted to make more money off of me bc I was paying hourly rate and I really didn't think the move should have taken that long. But to give them credit the guys didn't stop working with the exception of a 30 min lunch break, and another 30 min break later in the day (which they didn't bill me for). So other than that these guys kept moving and worked really hard. I think when I estimated the hours that the move would take I didn't factor in them wrapping up all the furniture, putting down protective stuff on the floor and the walls, taking apart and putting back together again all the furniture, cleaning up after themselves (which surprisingly they did a pretty great job of). I would recommend this company to anyone in Carlsbad that is moving soon. read more
