There are two kinds of IT people, the ones who leave you more confused than when you started, and…read morethe ones who quietly solve the problem and get you back to running your business. Working with Matt was exactly that. He was prompt, professional, and refreshingly easy to work with. As a small business owner, having someone reliable to call when technology gets in the way is invaluable. If you're looking for an IT professional who knows his craft, communicates well, and delivers on his promises, I highly recommend him. Good people are hard to find. Great IT people are even harder.

The owner, Alex, is a nice dude, but a poor communicator. My laptop was having crashes, and I…read moredropped it off in early June for troubleshooting/diagnosis. I called after several weeks and he promised he'd have the problem diagnosed within the next couple days and call me back. Several additional weeks went by and I called again with the same response, and then once more a few weeks later- a total of 2 months of wait time without any progress or evidence that anything was done at all. I eventually gave up and got my laptop back myself to look at. Googling my error messages indicated that my RAM was faulty, and after replacing the RAM (a 15-minute procedure), my laptop works fine. It took me ~30 minutes of total active time to troubleshoot and solve this problem that I had previously waited 2 months for the owner to fix. I'd guess that Alex was overcommitted with fixing other machines to focus on mine, which is fine if he told me a realistic estimate (i.e. "I'm really busy right now, but check back in a month and I'll give you an update). Instead I got drip-fed inaccurate timeline estimates. Overall, I find it difficult to reccomend going to this business to get your problem fixed unless you have a really easy software issue to diagnose/fix on the spot.

Dave answered my emails and calls in a timely fashion, and worked with me to make an appointment to save my sanity. The whole job took a few hours, and in that time he restored everything back to its original settings, reloaded software I had purchased, and he actually got rid of junky programs I didn't need that were taking up extra hard drive space. He even reloaded a new virus scan program, brought back my preferred web browser, and configured my wireless so I no longer have to plug my laptop into an Ethernet cable.
