We got 3 appetizers and 3 sushi rolls for about $70. It took over half an hour to get our food. This was around 6:30 PM on Friday, so they were busy, but that's a long time to wait for a place that primarily specializes in takeout and delivery. And they were cranking out those to-go orders, to the point where it felt like they were deprioritizing the dining room. The food was decent. Sushi was well-made and fresh. Takoyaki and seaweed salad were run-of-the-mill, and edamame came out cold. The brown sugar bubble tea was watery and unpleasant. They were running a two-for-one special on th tea, so I wasn't expecting much, but I would've preferred to drink tap water. I have a soft spot for One More Sushi Express because it was actually one of the first places I tried when I moved to Chicago. I found it on Yelp (of course) while staying at a hotel, ordered it on a whim, and immediately loved it. Later, I found out it's literally right across the street from my apartment..which made it even better! It's not a fancy spot, but the food is consistently so good. I usually order takeout, and it's honestly perfect for that. My order is almost always ready early (like 5 minutes ahead of time), which I really appreciate. Stopped in before a doctor's visit across the street at UI. This will definitely become a favorite. Location is also very convenient for me. I had their general tso's lunch special, which included a lunch portion of white rice with the chicken, a spring roll, a crab Rangoon, a couple pcs of Cali roll and a miso soup. They have a pretty big menu that includes sushi, rice dishes, chicken dishes and dumplings. Tried a bunch of their rolls. Their take on a Cali roll has the crab ripped and shredded. The sushi is delicious, I most especially like their deep fried rolls like the Godzilla roll in my picture as well as the volcano roll.
