Honestly not a bad towing company. They charged me $200 (which is the average tow fee). Getting your car towed is no fun but the people there weren't the worst, like these comments say they are. Thank god they're open 24/7 and it took me 5 minutes total to pay and get my car back. Plus, no car damage when they towed it. If you give them a bad review for towing your car when you parked somewhere you shouldn't have, it's time to grow up lol read more

On The Road Again is absolutely vicious and disgusting. I was not even here in Denton for more than 2 hours parked at my friends apartments. We left for like an hour and came back from dinner and my car was gone. Like they were just waiting for us to leave. And then the payment was $390 bucks. The baseline police tow price was $290. The little girls there were so rude, not even sympathetic, just bitchy about the whole situation. There was no signage or any warning about towing on the visitor parking signs. There was also not a very noticeable warning on the visitor register site either, it flashed on the screen for like a second before disappearing. The so called signage on the make-shift website also does not mention that it expires after 24 hours. Preying on broke college students is absolutely disgusting, I hope your mom is proud and both sides of your pillow are always warm. Update: 2:30am I went out to check on my car. College kids and visitors be ware, you do have a reason to worry. Two trucks were out there just circling the lot. Absolutely vile and predatory. Video attached. read more

$330 for towing vehicle from a parking lot connected to the public parking lot - this company operates knowing new visitors are confused. absolute scam company. read more

The tow yard caused $2,000 in damages and entirely abandoned professional accountability. Similarly, they charged over $100 more than advertised and abandoned professional accountability by blaming others. Regarding the damages, despite providing clear photographic evidence of the damage occurred during the tow, the company refused to provide any pre-tow inspection records or evidence to refute my claim. They ignored my formal written reimbursement request, gave a verbal denial over the phone, refused to put their decision in writing, and unprofessionally told me to "take it up with my attorney." Their actions violate basic business practices. If management wishes to resolve this without further legal and regulatory escalation, I expect a prompt response. I won't hold my breath. read more

My car was illegally towed (stolen!) even though we paid the $9.09 for two hours of parking and we still had almost an hour left on the clock. Beware! If you are going to downtown Denton, DO NOT park in the paid lot near Wells Fargo between Hickory and Elm. My car was stolen by On the Road Again towing. My wife and I were left stranded downtown after dinner. Thankfully, our dcame to our rescue and took us to pick up my car. The tow company would not let me leave with my car without paying $336, even though I showed them the receipt and they knew I still had time left on the meter!!! No way was I going to leave my car there with thieves. I'm filing a police report on this crooked tow company for stealing my car and making me pay a ransom. Trying to warn everyone I know so this doesn't happen to them. Avoid this parking lot. read more

No signage in the apartment complex for warning and no company number to call, and we were gone for just two hours. they towed my friend's car and charged over $300. The lady was a sarcastic jerk about the whole thing too. I hope everyone who works here preying on innocent people have a life full of bad luck. Negative stars if this app would let me read more

I don't usually leave reviews but this place is honestly so predatory. This company tows multiple different apartment complexes. I have watched them sit there and wait for cars in parking lots. I watched them tow a car and the top of the car had banged against the top of the garage and one of its signs. They have towed me twice in one night and it was $340+ each time. As a college student, I am in no financial position to pay for it. But sure, whatever. This company and the people that work for it should feel ashamed. I don't see how someone could think about their life and decide this is what they want to do. read more

Predatory towing practices. My guest vehicle was towed at 11:59pm for not being registered (our mistake, fine). The car was picked up the next morning at 8:00am and we were charged for two full days of storage. Really sucks that my apartment adopted this horrible towing practice. read more

I'm not someone who complains online -- I'm far from a "Karen." I came into this situation calm, respectful, and just trying to get answers before my friend picked up her car. But the experience I had with Rebecca at the front office was honestly unacceptable. From the moment I walked in, she was rude, dismissive, and visibly irritated, even though I approached her politely. I asked a few basic questions, and instead of helping, she gave me snappy, short responses and acted like I was bothering her. The tension she created in the room was ridiculous and completely unnecessary. When I asked if she was the manager, she ignored me the first time. I had to ask twice before she finally said, "there isn't one here." I asked again for a supervisor or someone above her, and she absolutely refused to give me any information. She only calmed down a little once she realized I wasn't going to just walk out confused. I wasn't leaving without a way to contact someone in charge, and after asking several more times, she finally -- and reluctantly -- gave me an email that was almost impossible to read. When I asked who I should address it to, she said, "Say it's to Hunter." This whole interaction felt intentionally difficult, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Getting towed is already stressful, but being treated like this when you're just trying to get clarity makes the entire situation ten times worse. If customer service matters to you, be prepared for a headache here. read more

Terrible people. Terrible trucks. Terrible service. Overcharged. Under delivered. Scam scam scam scam scam scam scam scam scam

If I could have put ZERO stars I would have! "On the Road Again" is a NIGHTMARE. My friends car was towed from my apartment complex, and they claimed it was because my guest wasn't registered. Are you kidding me? She didn't even have time to make it to my apartment before the claimed to have picked it up. I wasn't given any time to register them! I swear they were just fucking sitting around waiting!!! The enployees should no remorse and where total bitche's. Not to mention the threatened to kick many people out and not give them their cars while we waited. The fees were outrageous. If you value your car (and your sanity), steer clear of these guys! read more

This is a predatory company that is on the "take" with local apartment complexes. This should be illegal and looked into by the county. This seems to be the only way they can stay in business. My truck was also towed while "visiting" at a local apartment complex resulting in a $321.47 fee to get it back. Stay away from this shady company. read more

Terrible business. My car go towed well I was getting food from chipotle and came back with my car gone. I was parked on the side of chipotle near the apartments with a sign saying "8:00am-5:00pm for parking only". Terrible service as well. The lady at the counter was super rude too. She needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY. Got snappy at me when I was being nice and asked what was the price to get my car out. Horrible customer service. Close this place down. read more

Company towed my vehicle while parked in visitors lot of my dying mother's apartment. Literally no compassion...

Rude and disrespectful. Illegally towed a registered vehicle and refused to acknowledge their mistake. never use this company

Left a sticker on my car leaving paper all over my window obstructing my view, which is a crime in Texas. Front desk told me it's my problem they committed the crime rather than fix the problem like adults. Had to call in a police report for these lazy unprofessional vandals. I guess they can deal with it in court over a fairly simple solution. read more

This place of business is extremely unprofessional. Completely towed my car while it was properly registered, damaged my vehicle because it was towed incorrectly and had one of the workers completely yell at me and try and fight me for standing my ground and not allowing him to talk down to me. When asked his name he continuously told me no and continued to yell at me. Hire new people who are respectful and do their job properly. This is immaturity and you should not be in this place of work. read more

why can't I give 0 start rating, screw this place the staff is god aweful, all they want it money, doesn't care how you got towed.

Is there an option for no stars? This place has towed my family's cars so many times. For reasons like registering the car on wrong portal, no signs at a restaurant for towing and parking my car to unload and leaving it for 5 mins while I walk up 3 flights of stairs...they are a scam company...and I will never park a car in Denton again. Beware. Horrible company and people. read more

Horrible people who make a living off of farming college/student living apartment lots. They are rude when you try and reason with them and have no empathy what so ever. They have a car driving through my student living complex about every 30 minutes all hours of the day. Visited the city and left with a tow :) Simply keep on a look out when visiting apartments nearby this towing company. Obviously they are in contact with management in surrounding areas because from story's I've heard, it amazes me to know the quickness they're to catch you minutes from parking without registering while visiting peers. I'm not complaining, wish the company best of luck with running an expensive yet managed to be profitable business! Let's keep them reviews honest and only way to keep them out of work is stay on your P's & Q's everyone. read more

Sick for raising prices during a time that city/campus parking is limited due to construction.

They literally towed a food delivery car that was parked for 5 MINUTES at Essence Apartments on 4200 North Horizon Pkwy. They were parked outside of the gates too. Definitely a scam company looking to tow any car that parks. read more

They towed my car since I forgot to sign it in at the property I was visiting - fair enough. What's not fair is the fact that they damaged my car in the process and refused to respond to my email about it until I followed up. AND they said they did not damage my car and would not respond to further emails from me. If you ever need your car towed, DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. They WILL mishandle your car and screw you over once you realize. If you happen to get towed by them, make sure to inspect your car for damage ON SITE. Thanks to these low lives, my car is totaled as it costs more to fix than it's worth. read more

These predators will pick up your car from ANY downtown Denton parking lot to the charge of $200 to retrieve your vehicle!!!! When you NEED a tow, it's how many hours wait???? This company is relentless and preys on people's downfall. For context, i got towed because i forgot to sign my car in but obviously thats on me so i wasn't mad. I will say that the lady working there that night was really nice. However, since it was really late when i went to pick up my car i decided to stay at my friends apartment (signed in). However, the very next night we were doing homework and i was only TWENTY MINUTES off from resigning my car and it WAS ALREADY GONE. I got towed back to back nights and when i went in and tried to reason with them (with my payment receipt and sign in screenshots) I was treated quite poorly. I understand that everyone has a sob story but BRO omfg twenty measly minutes. 300$ dollars is an EGREGIOUS amount of money especially since the apartment is .2 miles away. And i know theyre not low on business cuz that lot is always full. Also, its an added $25 for every day they have you impounded. GOOD LORD. Having to drop 600$ in one week while in college just to get your car back is just straight up soul crushing. I have a theory that the apartment sign-in website is managed by them and thats how they know so quickly. I was told that the city sets the prices but i dont believe them at all. Anyways, if you ever need to get towed DO NOT call them because they are already rolling in it from unsigned cars. read more

This business is a joke! This is one of the most predatory companies that actively preys on college students circling student apartments towing cars 24/7. They literally circle like buzzards waiting on their next victim. Families can't even come to town and enjoy their visit because they are waiting to tow! Last years rate was $199. The new rate for 2025 is $299 flat rate. It's insane knowing that struggling college students can't even rest without worrying about a tow!! As much as they circle the lots, they know what cars live there and they also know what cars have been registered! It's sickening to see a company treat students and their families this way. I 1000% don't recommend and don't support this business ! read more

Absolutely disgusting business. Towed my car from an apartment complex after my friend called the front desk and checked that my car would be fine. The number posted on the sign didn't work so I had to go on a wild goose chase to find my car. (Photo below is the number on the sign- it does not work, I kept getting told the number was unavailable) Front desk ladies were rude. My car came back with its tires low, rim scratches, cup marks on the top of the car and handprints all over including things that I wouldn't expect to be messed with like the gas cap and the back doors. I understand they have to hook it up but the marks all over the car seemed excessive. Almost $300 to retrieve my car. I asked for documentation for my family lawyer and let them know I'd be sending it to him since everything I sign goes through him and was laughed at by the front desk. Unprofessional and predatory. They know this is a college town with not much parking and use that to their benefit. read more

They towed my car from a paid lot on Denton square that I had proof of paying and told me he didn't care what proof I had because "it didn't show I paid it on their end". I showed him the app where I paid for 4 hours of parking and they towed my car 2 hours into that 4 hour timeframe. You can see in the photos that I paid for 8pm-12am and the receipt shows they towed at 10:10pm. All car and lot info was correct in the app. I even asked if I could call the company that controls the app you pay for the parking on and have them send proof that I paid for my spot, and I was refused and once again told that they don't care what proof I have to show them and that "the only way I'm getting my car out is if I pay them the $186". They claim in their responses to reviews here that if you properly register your car, "you'll never be towed", but I took every step to make sure I was legally parked and they still towed me and made me pay $190 to get my car back when I did nothing wrong in my registration and had proof right in front of them. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, whether it was the app or their own system, and letting me take my car, they chose to punish me for doing everything correctly and refused to make it right. So good luck to anyone who gets towed here. read more

A deeply inconsiderate company profits from patrolling college and student apartment lots. They lack any sense of compassion, driving through student complexes at all hours to find cars that have slightly exceeded the 24-hour visitor registration period. Over the past six months, we've had to pay them around $500 because my son was minutes late in re-registering. It's appalling to think that someone would build a business around towing vehicles belonging to struggling college students. They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

This company consists of the human equivalents of junk cars. Morally dubious people who capitalize off of victims that 1) choose to pay in person yet are towed before they can complete the transaction 2) are not able to see the poor signage (particularly in the rain/dark), or 3) did not have Internet signal when accessing the payment app. They claim they do not lurk. However, they absolutely do and I can upload footage of the tow truck in question. This company also has a slogan (found in a news article) that proudly demands their workers to "never return to the lot without a car in tow." If that doesn't show you their flippant attitudes towards their work, their dishonest replies in these reviews surely will. One of these days you are going to tow someone who will not be as civil and peaceful in dealing with you as I was the other week. On The Road in Denton will get what is coming to them sooner or later and I look forward to that day! :-) read more
