The owner is super nice and doesn't take advantage of people who are already in a bad spot with their vehicle. He's only gonna charge you for what really needs to be done. He's has a drop box so you can leave your car in the evening and drop your keys in his drop box. That's way it doesn't get in the way of work hours for you. Wouldn't hesitate to go here for repairs, oil changes, anything!

These assholes tried to run up $3200 in labor cost. Needless to say, I wasted 192 bucks on a diagnostic for them to do nothing. I went to the mechanic up the street who told me to get OEM parts first (02 sensor) and that would likely fix it smh he told me this for free smh Talk about putting a bad taste in your mouth, I hope this place goes out of business. Oh, and they couldn't even drive my car up to the front like a normal repair shop smh I got my steps in but I thought what terrible service.

After I declined it took another 20 minutes for my car to be ready. At checkout, I asked if they used Conventional oil. The guy said no and went to ask for help. Then I was told they could order conventional oil but it would cost $50 more. I asked if I now had to stay with synthetic, another guy said I could go back. I was always under the impression once you switch an older vehicle to synthetic oil and run it through your engine you couldn't go back to conventional. Anyway, Thanks to Tommy's looks like I'm using synthetic now. Won't be going back to Tommy's. Continuing my search for a reputable and reliable place to get my car serviced.

They did respond quick and orderly, but was supposed to have a job done today but fell asleep as…read morethey didn't show up until the end of the service window. The window was from 3-5, I should have had it earlier if they were going to show up at the end of that window. As I was waiting for the call from the technician but didn't get a call from him, but instead from another number that was not on my contacts list. I did ask for an eta but, didn't get one. Then had another tech come out the following week. The window was still the same 3-5, didn't show up until 7pm. They didn't finish until 9am the next day. It took 17 hrs and the timing belt wasn't even done and I missed work. Then the next day after starting the car the belts that squealing so unbearably loud. It would then stop once it warmed up, but there was still a ticking that could be heard. Then I asked the tech that installed it to see if he could fix the squealing, and he said he could, met up the following week as I was busy, and he 'fixed' the problem. Immediately after I left him it started squealing again, but even louder. The following week after that I had another mobile mechanic install a new radiator and belts to fix the problem, and he stated that all the belts were loose and there are missing bolts. After that mechanic installed the belts and radiator everything is back to normal and everything is tightened as need be. I would not recommend hiring from this company as they are just a middle man and sending work to other mobile mechanics. The pricing was too good to be true and in the end had to spend more money to get things back in working order

Six months later I'm moving to a new home and every light comes on in my Honda Odyssey, I took it in and the team assessed the issue. I remember the team saying to me, don't worry about it, the warranty is going to cover it. They came back with a huge issue with the motor, and rather than rebuilding the motor, Christian Brothers replaced the motor with a used motor with 65k less miles. In addition they covered a car rental for 3 days. Over the next few days they called to replace a few other things like a water pump so it wouldn't have to be done later and they paid for it. I was overwhelmed by their attention to detail and commitment to excellence. While at times they can longer than other shops, they stand by their work and use only the best parts. I'm now a lifelong Christian Bros customer as they have won my business going forward. I highly recommend to anyone!

On their initial visit, the tech told us how to reset our side slide which was experiencing uneven movement and sticking. They also set an appointment for the following week to repair or our furnace. They showed up early for the repair and it wound up being $200 less than the original quote. They removed the furnace and cleaned out the mess left by dirt daubers (thanks previous owner!), then reinstalled and made sure the screen was in place to prevent future problems. I was having brake issues and needed an oil change, so I contacted AAR, and they said to bring it in for inspection. They did not charge for my brake inspection, and less than $40 for the full-synthetic oil change/filter. They provided me a detailed listing of the other things that were worn/broken on my vehicle to make sure I could make an informed decision about the repairs that I wanted to get done or plan repairs out, based upon my budget. Reading the other reviews, a lot of people were complaining about that itemized list, and tried to say that AAR was trying to gouge them/rip them off with unnecessary repairs. That's not what they were doing - just giving customers a list of deficiencies so they could prioritize what they need to get repaired and plan accordingly. Everyone here that I dealt with was polite and professional. Sure, there was a delay in them getting to me vehicle - but when I dropped it off, they had all 4 bays full of other people's vehicles and a parking lot full of people who were there before me. People need to be realistic with their reviews/expectations - they aren't the only customer. AAR also offered to get me a rental car so I wasn't stranded until they got my vehicle repaired. Advanced Auto was AMAZING. They had my ford explorer for two weeks & went out of their way messing with my extended warranty company for my transmission and my turbo. They called and told me I needed a couple new belts which was fine with me, I told them I could cover the cost. I got my car back Friday (05/24/2019). I went to Gainesville, TX on Saturday and my car had a weird oil smell to it, when my husband opened the hood there was no oil at all in the car. I frantically called the shop knowing they were closed, and that it was memorial day weekend so the odds of me getting it fixed were slim. Floyd called me back within fifteen minutes and had a plan. He had a tow truck on its way to me but I would need someone to come get me, when I was weary and had no clue how I was going to do that, he sent the tow truck with the shop shuttle car to me and took my car back to Denton 45 minutes away. He called me Tuesday morning and the ORING on my car had failed, so he took care of it and washed my car, filled it up with gas, & oil and brought it to my work in Krum! Floyd went out of his way to make sure me and my family were taken care of. They will always have my business from now on. Advanced Auto is my first choice in maintenance and repair. I recently had to replace my thermostat and they worked with me to make sure I knew exactly what was involved. This was very important because the check engine light was on and I had my State inspection due in just over a month. They helped me to find ways to reduce the expense and after scheduling the repair, they discovered that the part I actually needed was half the price they originally thought, saving me even more! This is not the first time they've gone out of their way to make things easier on my wallet. Their courtesy driver got me back to work while they did the repair and brought me back to the shop when it was done. I passed my State inspection and when the check engine light came back on a week later they checked it out and and confirmed that nothing further was wrong, so they took care of that at no extra charge. My car has been driving smoothly ever since and they followed up with a call to make sure I wasn't having any problems and to answer any questions I had. I am very pleased with the service I receive from Advanced Auto Repair. They are always friendly, courteous and professional and I will be sure to return the next time my car needs more upkeep. read more

The staff here is very professional and helpful, in person and on the phone. Unlike a lot of mechanics, the office staff is polite and willing to explain in detail, without making you feel like an idiot due to lack of car knowledge. They also speak clearly and state who they are on the phone, which seems like a little thing, but goes a long way to making a customer feel comfortable at a business. They get your vehicle back to you in a short amount of time, and update you frequently if it'll be there longer than anticipated. Pricing is pretty good. With VWs, you don't have a lot of options, so I can't say for sure if the cost is high or low; it IS lower than one other VW place in town, and almost anything is cheaper than the dealer. Also, a lot of mechanics will behave in a condescending manner to females, and will address the male if there's one present, even if it's not his vehicle and he knows absolutely NOTHING about cars. At Advanced, the mechanics only addressed me, even though my boyfriend was present at the time, which I greatly appreciated. read more

Went in to get my transmission fluid and filter replaced and it was done in a single afternoon! Dropping the car off and picking it up I was greeted warmly by all employees I crossed my paths with. My father is a mechanic so I've never had to deal with going to mechanic shops, yet since I live far away from home I had no choice but to go somewhere. I'm very pleased with Advanced Auto Repair and with Floyd who really helped me out and was so understanding of my situation. The best part I have to say is their car service. Drop off your car but don't have a ride back? They have guy a that'll take you back home and pick you when your car is ready. So I have to tell everyone how amazing this place is. Me and my group of teenagers were traveling back from a mission trip and had a an 8 hour drive ahead of us when the worst thing that could happen ,happened. Our ac went out in our van carrying 15 teenage kids in it . Freaked out I called and talked to Brian on the phone he very empathetic about our situation and told us to bring it in. it was already about 4:45 and they closed at 5:30 the shop put three technicians on it so they could get it out faster. Unfortunately it ended up needing parts that were not available. But Brian walked the whole group over and bought them all slushies and water for our trip back. I've been using Advanced Auto Repair for quite some time now and I started when I took my Granddaughter's car to them, after purchasing the brake parts online, and they installed everything perfectly and the brakes worked great. We've taken my Wife's car there a few times, as well. After diagnosing the issue, they made the necessary repairs, without issue. If a problem arose, after the repair, they were glad to do whatever it took to resolve the issue, without further cost to us. I highly recommend Advanced Auto Repair, to anyone. When I call Advanced Tire, the phone is answered, no long holds, and no long waits to get my car in. They know us.. the treat us well and they are Honest. Advance Auto Repair really treated me right the numerous amounts of times I have been there. Im a new graduate student in Denton and only have one car. They offered me a ride home during the time of fixing my car and also picked me back up as well! I've never had a car shop offer services like that. The environment is welcoming and the lobby is nice with free drinks and a play area for children. These people are honest, considerate, hard-working, and dependable. I was stuck 500 miles from home and from my destination, and they didn't waste a minute in trying to help me fix my old, old car. Have used this repair shop for over a year now since first moving to Denton. Floyd et al are competent, friendly, and reasonable. They tell me what needs to be done with my car and don't pressure me to get 3rd or 4th priority smaller repairs done until I am ready. These folks are flexible, have pick up and drop off service and will stay beyond closing or make alternate arrangements so you can get your car. Advanced Auto Repair has a new loyal customer! The customer service is excellent! I took my car in for an issue which would keep me from being able to pass an inspection. Of course, it had several issues (It is a 2008 so I expected that) but Floyd explained each issue clearly with a price breakdown for each. In the end, I got the repairs done, car inspected, oil changed and two new tires for a reasonable price. Had no idea I could get all that done at one time. They have more than met my standards for car work and customer service. I have come to them with regular maintenance and puzzling issues, one of which not even my dealer fixed, and every time they have taken great care of my car. This place is the best for any auto repairs! I drive out of my way to go this shop. I've been to other shops, but this is the only one that I have trusted to be honest with me. My air conditioning went out before summer and it's still going strong despite the Texas heat. The cost was very minimal and the repair was done quicker than expected. My daughter was traveling home to Houston from college in Oklahoma when a temperature warning light came on in her Mini Cooper. I looked online and found the nearest Mini repair shop was Advanced Auto repair. While talking to them I had them give me a quote for doing a heater/evap core on the same vehicle anybody who knows how labor intensive that is knows it is no small job. They quoted me a little over $2k and I know they will do a great job on that as well whenever I bring it back in and they will get another great review. My original experience involved an oil leak following service, and a second repair facility documented an overtightened drain plug, incorrect washer installation, and resulting oil pan damage. The process of resolving the matter was lengthy and required considerable follow-up on my part. However, after the documentation was reviewed by management, they accepted responsibility, apologized, and reimbursed the repair costs in full. I am updating this review to reflect their efforts to ultimately resolve the matter.

He takes the time to properly troubleshoot and find the root cause of the problem. I took my 01 F250 to him with major transmission problems, and an intermittent electrical issue. He rebuilt the transmission within a few days, and we put heavy duty parts such as a torque converter and shift kit so it would be more equipped to pulling oversized loads. He also replaced the radiator which was full of metal shavings from the bad transmission Other shops told me my transmission was just fine, and it just needed an aftermarket cooler, which is why it was overheating. Also, I took it to 3 different shops who couldn't find the source of my intermittent electrical issues. Once the transmission was rebuilt, upon programming, he found the source of the breakdown, which was a faulty ECM which caused it not to shift properly and drastically overheat. We sent the ECM to a place to get repaired and he installed and programmed my truck to get it back on the road. Jose communicated the whole process, and did high quality work. He is the only mechanic that I have found to trust, and I wish there were more like him.

Oh man, especially Jose, the owner. Amazingly great and understanding guy! And he knows his stuff without a second thought. I came to Texas from Louisiana on an evacuation order due to Hurricane Ida. It's 100 degrees outside and my a/c goes KAPUT! An entire 8 hour drive in this sweltering heat with no a/c. When I made it to Texas I decided to take my vehicle to a neighborhood Christian Brothers. They were nice people but their prices were just too high for what I could afford at such last minute notice. They ran diagnostics and told me that my HVAC blower motor needed replacement as well as the motor resistor. They quoted me almost $700 for the job and I just couldn't afford it. I called around and was guided to Jose at AutoPro. I told him my situation and immediately he swept into gear making me feel really confident about everything he was saying. The knowledge and kindness would've been enough but on top of it all he offered to do it for a MUCH LOWER labor cost!!! I was floored and immediately drove my vehicle to the shop. It didn't take but maybe 10 minutes tops for him to advise me that the estimate given by Christian Brothers wasn't necessary and that the only issue was my blower motor. That alone saved me and additional $200 off of the estimate. In no time he had me on the road in freezing cold air. I'm thinking about moving to Denton just to know I have him around if ever there is an issue. Really great, confident, laid back guy. It is IMPERATIVE that you do not hesitate to patronize AutoPro if you wish to be treated super humanely and with a great deal of compassion and honesty. They have my greatest gratitude for this.
