If I could put zero stars I would. I took my car here and my bumper had a crack in it got the car back and now it is completely flying off and whenever I called them to see what happened. They stated the car was already damaged so we can't do anything about it. It was pretty much my fault even though I've been driving with a car like that for two years and it's never happened before. Called less than an hour before closing, and asked if they could fix a tire for me. They told me they could "as long as it was repairable." They had my vehicle in a bay soon after I got there, and had me on my way pretty quickly. Staff was friendly, there was coffee available in the lobby, and the service was nice and affordable. I've had good and bad experiences here. I trust them to do a decent job with the auto work. The last time I was there I came with a coupon that said $30 oil change. The guy looked at the coupon and said the oils changes are $40 with a coupon now, but he'd honor this coupon, so we booked an appointment. The next day I came in, did the appointment and they charged me $40. I mentioned the verbal confirmation from the other employee but they had already done the work and weren't budgeting on what the rate was. The honest thing to do would have been to honor the rate, not only because they said they would, but because I came in with a physical advertisement coupon they mailed me that didn't have an expiration date on it. read more

We came to this shop after Brakes Plus sent us out twice with unsafe brakes which almost caused a tragic accident in the middle of 380. They did alot wrong, but ultimately they installed the wrong brake booster and told us that was as good as our brakes would get. The brakes were very "soft" and you had to almost floor it to stop. I just couldn't take it back a 3rd time due to trust issues. This shop ended up fixing their mess and installing the correct brake booster. The brakes work very good now so I guess that wasn't as good as it gets. I feel this vehicle is safe now to teach my son driving lessons. The service requested was quality work. We are in an unfortunate battle with the other shop because it sucks we had to pay two different shops to get the job done right, but with brakes, you can't just let anyone do the work. I went in to simply get a my car looked at 2015 Chevy Malibu I wanted to figure out what was wrong with it so me and my dad could get to fixing it I took my car in with minor shaking and knocking while the car was moving below 10 mph when I got the car back it was something I could even barely make home the shaking became 5x more violent and seemed like the problem had gotten worse within the first 3 days they call me and text me but i simply ignore it because I was obviously taken advantage of to come back and spend money. While working on the car myself I came across bolts not even fully tightened some completely LOOSE where my injectors are. For being mechanics the most I could ask is tighten my bolts back shaking my head. read more

After many years of absence since my last horrific experience with these folks, I decided to give them another shot on a full synthetic oil change since they offered a special promo similar to Tommy's Hi-Tech 2 doors down. After all, it's just an oil change right? Well, as their website and staff said, they "only use Valvoline" for the most part unless it is speciality cars. So I gave them another shot to regain my business as an option to Tommy's. After declining the recommended torn axle CV boot, and oil leak detection of $1400 and paying the invoice, and driving home, I happened to glance at the invoice and noticed that the make of the oil on their invoice line item states that the oil was " DURAMAX DEXOS Gen 2". Not knowing what Duramax is and why it is not Valvoline as specified, I called the shop back. I was told that they "only use Valvoline" and once I pointed out that their invoice specifically states "DURAMAX", the next response was "DURAMAX IS VALVOLINE". I told the guy that I just googled and it states that Duramax is owned by RelaDyne. So then the next false statement was that they are "made by the same company". Valvoline is a separate public company listed on the stock exchange. Apparently RelaDyne MAY distribute Valvoline oil (MAYBE) but they are not the same company. I felt super upset, angry, betrayed, and simply lied to. Even though this was not a major issue with different oils, the level of misrepresentation and subsequent lies is unconscionable and inexcusable. Needless to say, we will not be going back. Shame or me for allowing second chances. read more

It's difficult these days to find a shop that will install performance parts , have the knowledge to install them correctly and in a timely fashion at a fair price.....but I've found one that meets and exceeded my expectations. Advanced Auto Repair just installed my customer provided performance suspension parts , they got my car in first thing Tuesday morning as scheduled, kept me updated and even sent pictures of the work in progress. Wednesday morning I received a call that my car was finished and ready to go. I am so happy and very satisfied with this shop and the high quality customer service. Everyone I interacted with were just great, like minded guys that know all about performance vehicles. Oh and the I icing on the cake.....they shuttled the wife and I home when we dropped off the car, came and picked us up to get my car back. Took my car to their shop at 7:30 am for a Thursday "appt". It was busy. Needed front brakes and a list of other items. Called Thursday before closing and service manager said they "just started looking at it" ....ok Waited until 1 pm on Friday and no call back.... nothing. Called and service manager who had little information on status , diagnosis , pricing etc . Had not seen my list of other items. Epic fail. They did a good job changing the OIL in my ML350 ;as far as I can tell. Took about an hour. The one thing I had to do was close my sunroof as they opened it with the headliner cover panel closed. I would have gotten a surprise if I went to the automatic car wash and water would have folded in! read more

I went to have a new battery installed in my 2013 Lexus SUV. Service tech said I had a shock that was leaking and needed to be replaced. Said I had to buy two shocks because they are sold in pairs. Quoted $750. I took it in to the Lexus dealership in Dallas the next day. After checking the car they said the shock did not need replacing it was only weeping and that was normal. Also said I do not have to buy two. One shock replacement quoted $250. Two shocks $500. $250 less and dealerships are typically more expensive.I believe this automobile repair shop was trying to scam me for a repair that was not necessary. I put in a better business bureau complaint as well as a AAA complaint since I came to the shop because I am a member of AAA. read more

They've seen me super stressed out and pissed off because my most recent car turned out to be a total lemon. I would give 0 stars if I could. I called them a few days before I actually brought our car to them. They told me we needed to make an appointment, which we did. My fiance showed up 30 minutes before the appointment and she dropped off her car. 4 hrs later we call to check on the status and they lied and told us they brought it back but had not gotten to it and that she would need to leave her car overnight. We went to go get the car and they hadn't even moved the car from where she left it! Then it took 3 different people to find her key. Super unprofessional. Dont overextend your schedule and if youre running late, call the customer and tell them! And when they call you 4 hours later, dont lie and say its back there when it isn't. read more

These are my go to mechanics - honest and trustworthy! I found them in 2009 when I lived in Denton. I'm now in Fort Worth and will make the drive up for their opinion when I need a big repair. I came in today for a new set of tires (Discount Tire had advised replacing all 4). The guys at Advanced Auto said my tires were in great shape! Two of the tires were practically new and two could be replaced if I really wanted. I ended up replacing just 2 instead of all 4 saving me over $300. They may charge a bit more than some but they won't fix anything that doesn't need it. read more

2005 VW Jetta TDI - The engine brackets on my car broke so I paid $1,100 for them to fix it. Five weeks later, the mounts that hold the brackets broke too. Luckily they have a 2-year warranty at their shop so they actually fixed that with no charge. Very nice. But THEN, my front driver tire came off of the axle and they said it would cost $1,400 just to get it up and running. Now I'm no "car person", but it does seem awfully suspicious that all of a sudden when I take it to them I started having all these problems when just earlier that year (2014) I had taken it to Tim's German Auto in Fort Worth to fix everything that they found wrong with it. And that was like $2,300. I couldn't afford to keep getting it fixed, everyone kept telling me that this place was over charging me. So I sold the car. The person who bought it fixed it himself, he messaged me and said he found tools/ misc. car parts left behind inside the engine (I'm assuming from AAR). The staff was extremely nice and explained a lot of things to be so I will give them credit for that. But I think they over charged me a lot and I lost trust that I could keep taking my car there without them messing up something else and then charging me for it. read more

from my experience this place is honest, does mostly legit business, and has ok prices, mostly kindof. HOWEVER, the young girl at the front desk has literally almost no idea whatsoever what she's talking about with vehicles and i'm very confused why they tolerate her employment, at all. almost get one star for having to deal with that thing alone. also almost one star for charging SO MUCH for a diagnostics test.. generally you should get a free diagnostic test in real life if you're getting repairs. the repairs are going to be plenty expensive enough as it is. the mechanics are good, a few of them seasoned legitimate champions and will be really informative and helpful. feel sorry for them having to deal with the front desk girl tho. a big plus here gaining them a star is that they will drive you to your home and pick you up when your car is ready if you have no way there. really helped me out doing this once before. one more star for them looking into salvage yards etc for less expensive parts that are in like new condition if you're like the 98% of americans that are barely getting by financially. another huge downfall is their rigid hours...must be nice, for them. i'm retired so it doesn't effect me but if you work a 'normal' schedule you'll find it very difficult to get your vehicle into them if not on a saturday and realistically they may have so much work or have to wait on parts and may not have time on a saturday to accomplish whatever you may need before they close. they close at 5:30 during the week and 4pm sat!! not open sundays. read more
