I've brought my other vehicle's here before; this time it was my other 04 Dakota. They did great work, great communication, there were a couple of hiccups but nothing we couldn't figure out. I've said it before about this place it is one of the few shops that actually make me feel good after spending $1k+ lol. While talking to them I had them give me a quote for doing a heater/evap core on the same vehicle anybody who knows how labor intensive that is knows it is no small job. They quoted me a little over $2k and I know they will do a great job on that as well whenever I bring it back in and they will get another great review. My first experience with Argyle Auto Care exceeded my expectations. My car would not start. I had it towed to the shop at the end of a Friday afternoon. The person responsible told me they would test it on Monday morning, call me with the diagnostic and ask for authorization to proceed. I got the call at 9 am on Monday, gave the go-ahead and my car was ready for pick up at 2:30 pm on the same day. The diagnostic was consistent with my own (non-professional) assessment. Please avoid this place. It saddens for me to say this as it's been the place for me, my wife and family to take our cars to. I'm not sure if they have new management, but their quality and customer service went way down hill. My mother-n-law took he car two months ago to have headlamps replaced. After taking the front bumper off they realized they have the wrong lights. No big deal, they can order them... right?. it's been two months and the wrong lights been sent twice, her car is still sitting in the parking lot with no headlamps and lights. After tired of waiting and not having a car, she asked them if they can please put her car back together so she can atleast use it while she waits for. Easy enough right? Nope, they stated she will be charged $350.00 to put the car back together and then another labor charge when the lights come in. They had zero understanding that they held the car captive for two months with zero work done. I went in to talk to them and I received the same "oh well" response. I ended up leaving with the car that has no front bumer or lights, so now I will be putting the car back together they took tore down. read more

I do not recommend. My wife had a tire blow out on 377, and drove here on her rim. They wouldn't help her. Would've taken 5-10 minutes to at least put on her spare. She would've gladly paid whatever. "Receptionist" man was even rude when asked to look at her tire. He said "I guess but we don't have tires." Apparently he's not interested in helping a local lady who needs help with her car. Argyle Auto Care need service writers that listen and understand customers auto repair needs. On my previous review I explained about damage to my wife's car during repairs made at this location. Owners reply was after his investigation damages were not made by his mechanics. What I find interesting is that the owner never saw the physical damage, only possibly a picture of the bumper. We had to take this car back for one of the original issues of the engine light coming on. After the third trip in they finally diagnosed the mechanical issue and would not discount the repair estimate. Bottom line I would not recommend Argyle Auto Care. The owner does not take responsibility for his mechanics and front desk staff. read more

I have to say that even though we did not get our car serviced here during this visit, that these employees, Chris and Derek, literally saved the day for us. We were at the DMV nearby for an appointment and one of the forms had an area that wasn't legible due to printer ink running out and we were told to get back in 20 minutes or out appointment is canceled. And we all know that it's a 3 month wait to get another appointment set. My husband happened to find this gem and went in and begged their help and these two literally came to our rescue, said no problem and had us ready to go in a few minutes. Any place that has people that work here like this deserves 5 stars and recognition. We are going to make the one hour trip and go here when we need. Thank you guys for saving our day! read more

I went in because I noticed my back tire was rumbling and was moments away from flying off. Chris really helped me out! He not only helped me fix the issue, but because there was some damage to my tire he also referred me to several sources to get the part I'd eventually need for cheap. I used to like Argyle Auto Care. Last year after major front end work on my truck, just four days later their work failed, totaling my truck and almost killing my son. The work cost over $8,000. After repeated attempts to contact them, I got no response. At least a refund for some portion of the repairs. But nothing, no response. We have taken all of our cars to them for over 7 years. You would have thought you would look after a loyal customer, but they just completely ignored us. I bet during our time with them we spent more than $40,000. But no contact when there were problems. One time they failed to put the full amount of oil after an oil change, and there were other little issues. Very disappointed in their response when one of their repairs fails. read more

I brought my car there knowing my problem was oxygen sensor, exhaust leak or catalytic converter. they told me it was the catalytic converter and $2600 . Instead of telling me let's try the $75.00 oxygen sensor they said its going to cost the $2600. I took it to another and they changed the oxygen sensor and it was fixed. Looks to me that they start with the most expensive job and then they would have charged to replace the sensor, for additional cost. I wouldn't go there again. KB read more

We have been loyal customers for years, but unfortunately will never be going back. The new management is beyond unprofessional. I took my vehicle there for AC diagnostic and inspection and went 3 days of calling with no response back before finally going to pick up the vehicle after not hearing from them or knowing what was going on. There was no accountability or apology for the lack of communication and instead, the manager was irritated so he gave me my keys to leave without ensuring the car was good to drive. I opened the hood to find pieces they took off and never put back on. He stated he knew that but it's my fault since I gave them no heads up I was coming and proceeded to slam my hood and storm off. Not sure how to notify you when you don't answer my calls and how irresponsible and dangerous to let someone drive off knowing there's loose parts everywhere. Very disappointing to have this interaction and have to find a new mechanic after years of going here but that place has gone down hill. Terrible customer service and hostile staff! read more

When we moved to the 76226 area I was looking for a place to take our two vehicles for all our maintenance and preventive maintenance. I saw the Argyle Auto Care from 377 so I visited them a couple days later. Every since we have taken our vehicles to AAC. I usually call ahead and I ask for Billy Jack and he has never lead me astray yet. Whatever we contracted them to do they have done correctly and we are very satisfied with that relationship. read more

For the first time EVER, I don't dread getting an inspection, oil change or other repair BECAUSE Argyle Auto is kind, clean and honors time. They are appointment only which means I have a time slot dedicated to the service I need and if it's an oil change or inspection, it's convenient enough to just wait instead of coordinating a ride. I'm pretty sure in the several years I've been using them I haven't had to wait much more than an hour, unlike the dealership. As my kids got their first cars, I felt comfortable sending them to Argyle Auto so they can handle their own oil change and inspections. read more

I took by car for a simple headlight replacement on a GMC Acadia. The cost was over $600 for about an hours work. The part they replaced cost me over $375. When I went to the web site for a Factory Replacement Part, the cost was $75. I called the folks to see if there was a good explanation for the high cost and was told they only installed OEM equivalent parts. It was clear they do not look out for the cost to the customer. These people were very friendly and quickly repair the light, but did not help me find the best choice for this simple replacement. Clearly a case of buyer beware when dealing with these folks. read more

I've brought several vehicles for service and repairs. The shop is clean and staff is friendly. My issue is that they constantly over charge for repairs. I have found them on many occasions utilizing OEM inflated list prices and exaggerated labor times for repairs. Your average customer generally does not know how to identify this, but I understand the work and how it is charged for. They are however quick to change prices and labor times when called out, but this only benefits me and not your average customer. Buyer beware and check prices diligently before signing a repair order with Billy or Prakash or anyone who is there now. I won't be back. read more

For those of you thinking this is a quality reputable Auto repair shop. Think again! I went in for a simple oil gasket replacement and Oil change and what transpired was not only disappointing and dangerous, but the response from management was appalling. After we paid our bill and drove the 5 min drive back home no issues. Several days later the vehicle was taken out for a 20 min spin out West. about 15 mins into the drive, we smelled something funny, 5 mins later the engine was smoking profusely. Nearly on fire! Turns out the mechanic left the oil cap off and motor oil was spewing all over the engine compartment causing the fumes and smoke. We promptly returned the car so they could rectify the situation. Upon picking the car up that evening, the fumes and smoke continued. I called management several times without a response for several days. Finally upon a return call, all I got was "We will comp you for an oil change". No. Response like "I'm sorry for what happened, that was a dangerous situation and we will make sure we improve our service in the future"....NOTHING! Basically, a pompous ..... what do want me to do about it? Accidents happen. No ownership of the situation at all. When I asked for them to further clean the engine compartment and better compensation than a free oil change, I was basically hung up on. BEWARE... I WILL BE CONTACTING THE BBB! read more

My girlfriend took her Cadillac Escalade there to have the oil change and serviced , she left and was driving her oil light came on, she stopped and checked the oil dip stick and there was no oil . They didn't put oil in it . She parked it the worker brought oil to her location and filled it. There was no sorry or refund for the service . I contacted the owner and he said he would resolve the problem . It's been over a week and no response from him .. I wouldn't take anything to this place , Poor customer service ... My daughter went there to have a new air conditioner compressor put in and for a $260ish part they wanted to charge her $680 for the part and that does not include labor. I get they my need to up the price on the part for profit but not by $400! Do not use this place. read more

I took my sisters car here when it did not start consistently. They were able diagnose and repair it all in the same day. I was over joyed because other places could not do until the next day and that would not work out due to our schedule. The following repairs were made on her car: New battery, starter and alternator. I will have to say I thought the price was a little high but sometimes for good fasts service you have to pay for it. (I checked my bill for my alternator repair and new battery vs. hers and it was $125 cheaper and I live in Connecticut). Again good fast service sometimes you have to pay more (and I understand different cars etc). While I was there I was without my cell phone charger since I did not expect to be out and about so long and they found someone who had the same phone so I could charge mine. That was a life saver! Overall they were great. I found coupons online when I got home but oh well my fault! Regardless I thought they were great. They took he time to explain everything with me and give me options. read more

Don't even bother. I've stopped by twice and each time i was turned away. "We won't be able to get you in today." The first time i came right before lunch time and the second time, weeks later, it was around 2pm. I pulled in and saw two empty bays and only one person in the lobby. Twice I've wasted time trying to get my oil changed here and twice I've been turned away. Don't even bother. Go down 407 three more miles and you'll get in every time. read more

Had to get my daughter's fuel pump changed and this place did it quick at a great price. I'm usually leery of auto repair places but they quoted me a good price and it never changed. I have a 22+ year old Honda that had several fluid leaks recently. After having it towed to Argyle Auto Care, Brad quoted me a fair price for the repairs and had it fixed on time. While on a drive three days later, the under engine cover came loose, dragging beneath the car and making a horrific noise. I stopped, called Brad, and explained my dilemma. Within 30 minutes he had a mechanic come to my location and remove the cover so I could continue driving it. Needless to say, I'm very impressed with their level of service and professionalism! read more

Our truck broke down on the highway on our way back to Denver from our baby shower in Houston. We were able to barely make it to Argyle Auto Care, just under an hour before the close. They wouldn't do a diagnostic. They didn't try to help in any way. They stated that regardless of the situation we could not be seen until tomorrow.. even though I showed them pictures of our intake that's clearly loose. They said 'the other shop will probably just tighten that up and you'll be good to go.'' All of the mechanics were headed home the moment 6pm hit... after taking an expensive tow ride over to another shop we got everything figured out.. It was a 5 minute fix. These guys at argyle clearly not hard workers. We were very fortunate to end up with an amazing shop that was also extremely busy.. but we're polite enough to take 5 minutes to help out a pregnant girl with two dogs. Thanks for nothin guys! I have taken my family cars to these guys since they opened. They remember my name and always try and get me in and out quickly. Today I took my new truck 2019 Ram (2,300) miles by there to listen to a sound in the front end. Turned out the factory didn't tighten the tie rods when it was built. They got it on the lift and had me out in under 10 minutes and wouldn't take any payment. They really do take care of people if there is any way they can. That's been my experience. read more

I had AC dripping water into the passenger compartment. A pretty common issue happening when the AC drain gets clogged. For just looking at the car they wanted from $55 to $105. Just for giving an estimate. I'm very glad I went away and saved that amount by going to another auto repair shop, which FOR FREE quickly fixed the problem just by pumping air in the drain having all the water coming out from underneath the car. read more

What they didn't know was that they were actually auditioning for my business (I have 3 vehicles). Argyle Auto Care passed with flying colors! This has got to be one of the most friendly, professional and helpful mechanics that I have ever been to. I've taken my vehicle here several times now for multiple purposes and most recently it was a vehicle inspection a few months ago. I had to get another inspection just recently and Brad was extremely helpful and knowing that I was on my way to work, it seemed that I was only there for a short time. They are knowledgeable without being pushy and give you the most information I have ever seen. I've recommended my entire family come with their vehicles as well. I hope you do too! read more

My husband was stuck on the side of I35 with a blown tire. Was able to get it to them, 45 min before closing time, they had changed and ready to go in 30 min, very nice, good price. Would use them again if we lived closer. Definitely recommend them. read more
