I'm new to TX and I needed to get an emissions inspection in order to register my 2018 Jeep. I was planning on going to another location but I could tell they were too busy when I drove by so I searched online again and found North Texas Sticker Station. There were a few other people waiting in the lobby and a few others who came in after me, however the process was super quick and easy. Ben was extremely friendly and respectful and I was just really pleased with the whole exchange. My Jeep passed (less than $20 for the inspection!)! I was also pleasantly surprised to see they gave me a printout with some information regarding a couple recalls for my vehicle, one of which I (unknowingly) had to have addressed a couple months ago just after purchasing it. A very good Denton area garage for routine road maintenance issues for all vehicles: Oil changes, tire rotations, and the like. I have gone to them for all the routine continuing maintenance issues for my 2001 Grand Caravan and liked the fact that they were doing the the things that are required to get a state of Texas vehicle inspection as well. It used to be a good place to get quality service; however, it has dropped precipitously. I took my vehicle in for an emissions inspection in January, '25 and they did not appear to have any idea how to perform one. (Granted, it was the first month under a new procedure; however, they should have been trained.) They kept me waiting for an hour and a half and never did figure out how to do the paperwork. I brought my car in for a routine state inspection and was immediately overwhelmed by an overpowering smell of air freshener, smoke, and marijuana upon entering. I dropped off the vehicle and walked to a nearby Starbucks, as I'd been told the process would take 10-15 minutes--but after waiting 25 minutes without any call or text, I returned to find staff who appeared visibly impaired, with bloodshot eyes and sluggish behavior. Upon paying, I learned they had left my car running and unattended outside with the keys in the ignition, putting it at serious risk of theft. If I could give them a rating of zero, I would. To make matters worse, there was what I was pretty sure was marijuana residue on the receipt they gave me--final proof of the unprofessional and unsafe environment. This experience was not just disappointing--it was dangerous, and I can't recommend this place under any circumstances. read more

If you come here, request someone other than Jake. I am Not convinced he knows what he is doing as a Mechanic and was truly worried for my vehicle. I witnessed him almost crashing my vehicle. I was Here for a simple oil change and ended up staying for over an hour while the other mechanics here getting customer in and out. Got windows tinted at there second location. Set up the appointment with Keith here and was told 2 hours for full tint so I set up the appointment on Saturday morning with time to finish up before I have other plans. Ended up waiting inside there shop for 3 hrs and 40 minutes and saw that my car was no longer in the tint room at about 3 hrs 20 mins. I had to tell them I need to leave to get checked out and my paperwork had just been sitting on counter for twenty mins while the desk guy was busy going in and out helping other employees and customers. They seemed short staffed but a sedan should not have taken this amount of time or I should have been warned so I can plan accordingly, other then that they did a good job, but the front desk guy at second location seem to let his frustration of being short staffed seep out to few of the other customers coming for service. read more

I've been going to them for years, and in general, always felt like they did a good job taking care of me. Last year my check engine light came on and they told me I needed a new transmission. It was a big blow considering the jeep is relatively newish (2015) and $3,000 right at the beginning of pandemic was a hard hit for us - but since I had been going to them for years, I trusted them and did not go to get a second opinion. While I was not the happiest with their lack of communication during the weeks they had my jeep - I trusted that they were doing everything they could. But when I picked the vehicle up and drove it, I discovered multiple problems with it. The entire jeep violently vibrated any time I had my foot on the brake or when in reverse. It has acceleration issues. It would make a weird sound any time I would hit bumps, or drive through construction (like the engine was jiggling around) and, although it's an automatic, it was shifting like a manual - jerking when it switched over from 1st to 2nd gear. I took it in several times over the course of the "1 year transmission warranty" for these issues and was told several times "you just have to drive it around a little more and it will work itself out." I've taken it in several times after since - for these problems, for oil changes, and most recently my inspection - and I was always told it's fine and there's no issues. I went on a road trip down to Austin a few weeks ago - and on the way home the jeep was acting like the alignment was off and in general was driving different - even more so than normal. I took it into a different shop to have my alignment checked and come to find out the engine was only being held up by one bolt and it was literally sitting on my wheel. The other shop was shocked that the entire engine didn't fall out. Once he put the bolts in, the vibrating stopped completely as did the jiggling sound. It was an easy fix and NTSS didn't even take the time to bolt down my engine correctly. ***update*** My jeep is now at a shop that specializes in transmission repair and they have to replace the entire thing or rebuild it completely. The one NTSS installed was a dud and they did not install it properly. When they took my jeep apart to take out my original transmission and replace it with a different one, they failed to put my jeep back together properly. Which caused so many more issues that need to be fixed. We spent $3,000 at NTSS and now we're about to spend another $2-3,000 to correct the issue at another shop. I really wish they had diagnosed my issue and referred me to a shop that is better equipped to do transmission work. It literally would have saved me thousands of dollars and wouldn't have put my life in danger every time I got behind the wheel. read more

Honesty, and great service with an unparalleled attention to detail I haven't witnessed in years. This is more than just some run of the mill 'oil swap shop.' It's a family business that really, honestly cares about the services they provide and I've experienced this first hand in a way that absolutely blew my mind. I went in here for a complete lube and oil change and because I smelled something oily burning and they discovered a leaking seal where the tranny connects to the drive shaft that would have ruined my transmission had it not been replaced. Visually, half the fluid was lost and after a thorough steam cleaning you could actually see it running out. They saved my ride. Kudos especially to Evan, Jared and Steel for their mad skills, attention to detail and hard work in getting the job done in a professional and affordable manner.
