Horrible ...I took my car into to have the catalytic converter replaced...after 4ndays and driving it for 3 days I had to take it back for another 2 days..Just to b told they couldn't do anything due to engine..so not true..they made 2600 on a job that they completely did not do..I had to take it to another mechanic which got my car up and running perfectly .I have pictures of all the damage that Finish Line did to my car ....and the other mechanic fixed/replaced...including the catalytic converter that they charged me for...1st impression was great...but quickly diminished..by their shoddy work and incompetent mechanics..Calls are being made to the appropriate people..Plz stay clear of this business... read more

Please read your warranty from them. Apparently it's 1 mile. I paid 850+ for a belt to be replaced and when my daughter was going back to college this week it came off. The place we found on her way back said the belt (which was new‍) gone and a bolt as well. I was told since she drove it 1 mile warranty is void. Don't go here! read more

My experience with them has been terrible. They are simply not honest. Took my car to this shop for an annoying noise in the rear. They said I needed to do full break job and change the shocks front and rear, the noise was only in the back. They quoted the job for almost $6000. My brother in law is a technician and told me in NY they charge way less for that work. Anyway I decided to proceed as I needed to fix it. When I came for the car, the noise was exactly there and now it was having issues braking. They sent me to the dealer, as they did not have a specialized tool for doing the rear job. They said the brake issue was going to go away after 500 miles. Took it to the dealer who recommended to re-do the entire job and their quote was less than the shop. The dealer fixed the back issue and took it back to the shop. Again, they said they did not find anything wrong, therefore, took the car to another shop who also recommended doing the front job again as the same was not properly conducted. Went back to Finish Line shop with this info and requesting a refund for the portion of the work they "did". As per they policy they do not refund, they asked me to bring the car back for a warranty repair. After this 3rd visit the car started breaking acceptable, before the work was better. In essence, they are NOT HONEST, they do not do a quality work and they are expensive as the dealer. Do yourself a favor and go to another shop. read more

1 Star - Completely Misled and Almost Scammed I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this shop. I dropped my car off for a simple oil change and was blindsided with a $7,600 quote for supposed "major engine damage." They told me my oil cap was smoking, that there was coolant mixed with my oil, and even claimed my head gasket was cracked with coolant all through my engine. They pushed for an unnecessary coolant and engine overhaul without a second thought. The problem? None of this was true. Thank goodness I trusted my instincts and took my car to another reputable auto shop for a second opinion. They confirmed that my vehicle has zero issues--no coolant in the oil, no head gasket problems, no smoke, nothing. My car is perfectly fine. This shop either has completely incompetent mechanics or is intentionally trying to scare customers into expensive repairs they don't need. Either option is unacceptable. If you value honesty, integrity, and your money, take your car somewhere else. I'm grateful I didn't fall for this, but it's terrifying to think about how many people might have. read more

This place is absolutely horrible! I waited for an emissions inspection for an hour only for the guy doing the inspection to tell me my active insurance card wasn't sufficient. They do not know the law for dual residency and were not interested in finding out. Interesting that I was the only customer who the front desk didn't check insurance for?? I will leave it at that! 9/19/22: My friend needed an oil change, and we needed an inspection to get our TX plates. We tried going to another place closer to my friend's house, but it was a long wait. Here, no wait and we got serviced simultaneously. A real time saver! While we were waiting for our cars, we were chatting with the guy working at the front desk. Matt was amazing! He was friendly & efficient in taking care of everything. Excellent customer service! First impressions are everything, and Matt really took our experience to the next level! Wife took her van in because it was overheating. The said radiator was leaking and gave an estimate. The next day they said the thermostat was also leaking and wanted more money. We said fix it since we were going on vacation and. The 3rd day we got the van and it immediately started overheating. We took it back there and they said they couldn't work on it for several days unless we took it to Argyle Auto Care and even then they may not get to it because they were busy. The service manager in argyle was not helpful even though they did the repair. We had to delay our vacation for this. Now six months later the radiator and thermostat are leaking again. We took it to another repair shop and the radiator is under warranty but not the thermostat because Finish Line used an off market part. So now we're paying again. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND them for anything. read more

He was also very knowledgeable about specific fluids that go in a jeep ie. HOAT coolant in my jeep and not antifreeze. I give them . I've gone to Finish Line for 2 years, but today's simple service replacement of two fluids has become a fiasco. Any novice knows that you don't drain a fluid out of your vehicle unless you have the replacement on-hand ready to go. Apparently Finish Line hasn't learned this, but it doesn't affect them when me, the customer, has to sit for THREE hours while my truck sits empty of transmission fluid. I even called the previous day to schedule this service, but they blew it off as an easy-peasy change not requiring any preliminary effort. We'll, I'm done with this place, time to move on. I would only go here for a vehicle inspection, never service. Good luck Finish Line, you need to go back to the basics in car repair. read more

TERRIBLE!!! Dishonest!!! AVOID!! Do not take your vehicle here under any circumstances!!! Went in for vehicle inspection (no codes, car driving fine with no engine lights on.) After the tech pulled the car in the bay and looked under the hood, he came back and said there's antifreeze coolant in brake master cylinder reservoir.... keep in mind its impossible for this to happen unless someone POURS antifreeze into the brake system! It would also mix very fast with the brake fluid (which is did shortly after they poured it in) They said it needs a brake service and flush before they could inspect it so we left very upset and as soon as we pulled out on the road the ABS light came on because THEY PUT ANTIFREEZE in the brake system!!!!! After spending a lot of money at another shop flushing the system to remove the antifreeze that Finish Line put in the brake system, the car is fixed. DO NOT USE this place for ANY services!! This could've created a life threatening situation by them compromising the brakes!! We could've pursued legal action but decided not to since it would be our word against theirs and not worth it. PLEASE avoid this place! read more

I love nothing more than an effortless service! Our first time here for a quick oil change went super speedy and effectively. They were able to service us right away and was less than 20mins including paperwork and payment. I asked about high mileage and difference between the oil and received great advice and knowledgeable answer from staff. They also had coloring books for the kids, TV and water! Of course a restroom. Very Good service. I went to Finish line for Oil change and Vehicle Inspection . It's finished on time.

I have taken my diesel truck to get the oil changed several times and besides the longer waits, which I didn't mind, I felt they did an OK job. Well recently it's been hard to find them open. Today I went to get an oil change, I pulled up to bay #1 and waited 10-15 min which didn't really bother me. I figured they were short staffed or something. When someone from the back finally came out, he came to tell me "we are closed for lunch so you will need to come back some other time" and then closed the roll up doors. Diesel trucks aren't cheap to change the oil in and with so many better options up near Buccees I won't be going back. Best of luck if you try them out. Btw they don't list that they close the whole shop to take a lunch break. Best of luck to you. read more

Your topical small town lube place with a slightly grimy waiting room, free coffee, and a TV playing something you don't really want to watch (although today it was How I Met Your Mother). My car was running poorly, had an oil leak and smelled strongly of gas fumes. I took it to Matt at The Finish Line in Justin. He and his mechanic determined that I had a failed gasket and a cracked component where the spark plugs go in. (Don't ask for details, I'm a retired travel agent. I don't know cars). Anyway, he got me in immediately, finished the job in less than one day and my car is running like a new car! Fast competent service and a reasonable price. What more can a person ask for? read more

Always enjoyed taking vehicles to Finish Line in the past. The past year the manager/mechanic left then they began requiring appointment for oil changes, even when there were no vehicles in the bays. The reason I will not return is that their pricing on mechanical repair is twice what a dealer charges. The new manager kept going on to customers about needing to bring vehicles to Finish Line due to their low labor charge. All I can say is double and triple check you bill before you leave. I mistakenly left before scrutinizing my bill and it cost me. I was charged double what a dealer charges. I returned to discuss my concern with the manager Carlos. I assumed that is was just an honest mistake and something was added inadvertently. Carlos was defensive and either didn't understand what I was explaining or didn't care. Asked why I didn't take it to a dealer if they were cheaper and I should have brought it up on day of service. Again, as I said I thought it was an honest mistake. Evidently this is just the way labor is charged at this shop, a dealer charges 2.5 hours for service I had performed and Finish Line charged 9 hours. People are free to choose who they do business with. My choice will be never to return. My suggestion is that if you do have them do work that every charge is thoroughly explained and that you get estimates from other shops. The techs and mechanic are all friendly and appear to do good work, but just not worth paying double. read more

I was very happy to have found a place who did oil & tire rotation. Especially living in the country. My husband took my car in and had both things done. Today I walked out to my car and found I had a flat. I have a special lug nut that requires a key. I couldn't find it anywhere. Their tech had forgot to put it back with my spare. After searching for it frantically I realized they must have it. Called them up, low and behold they had it. So we had to go back to get it just to get my tire off! It's a miracle I was at home and not on the side of the highway. After all this I could of let it slide and moved forward. But the worker there named STEVE has the worst customer service attitude. Didn't seem apologetic at all had this nonchalant attitude of "sucks to be you". Was rude to my dad and then I experienced the same when I called. All they offered was a free tire rotation next time I go in. Yeah, no I won't be going back not because of the mistake but because of STEVE's attitude and lack of customer service. read more

I have always taken my vehicles to Finish Line to get the oil changed and inspections. This time I took my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel there for inspection which had passed there the previous three years and they failed it. They smog stated that it had straight pipe exhaust. This was not true as it had a muffler. Then he stated it didn't have a catalytic converter. That might be true, but that is the way I bought it from AutoNation Dodge in Alliance. It is very frustrating when it passed before and now it doesn't. I will take my services elsewhere. read more

I have been going to this place for 10 years , place looks nice but the management seems to be charging more than they use to. The customer in front of me was charged close to $200.00 for a diesel oil change and filter, he was angry and the clerk gave him a discount. I went for a state inspection a the employee decided the 1" tear in my wiper blade... that he may have caused, failed the inspection. THEY wanted $36.00 to replace a $5.00 wiper blade . I left and won't be back . The employee told me he would get fined if I got pulled over by a cop. I am in my 50;s and know that a cop never checks 3 month old windshield wipers in Texas during a drought ! I tried to talk common sense to him..but "YOU CAN LEAD A HORSE TO WATER, BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE HIM DRINK. read more

Very disappointed. By the reviews, I was looking forward to a good experience. I called ahead about bringing my own filter which I did, a Mobile1 premium that I paid $14.95 for. All was well until the end of the service when Randy came up out of the pit and said the filter I had brought was not the correct filter and that he used a stock filter. Nothing was said to me until after the service had been completed. He gave me the filter in the box that I had brought it in and told me if I returned it to O'Reilly that he would replace the stock filter on my return. When I got to O'Reilly's the first thing they did as open the box (I had not) and inside the Mobil1 box was a used Fram filter. O'Reilly's does not sell Fram. I called Finish Line and spoke to Randy again. He swore that that was the filter that was in the box. The whole scenario made no sense. Randy never mentioned that the filter was different than the box it came in until I called. The manager at O'Reilly's said that he wasn't buying the story, so I'm out $16.00. To top it off, 5 miles down the road the shroud underneath the oil pan started dragging going down the 114. Pulled over and found that there was only one push pin holding the shroud from falling completely off. Randy said the pins were worn. Funny that the car went 5000 miles since it's last change without a problem and 5 miles after Finish Line to fall apart. To say I'm unhappy is an under statement.
