We were charged $200 to tow a car 7.3 miles during normal business hours. Do not use, way over priced. Tow was from 1 mile from their place of business to 7.3 miles down 377. Did not state price before car was hocked and towed. Average tow for 5-10 mile should be $125. Will not do business here again. read more

I damaged my Tesla Model X and needed to have it flatbed trailer towed to the Tesla Service Center in Dallas from my house in Keller. I called and reached Chris who said he would have Jeff out to my house in an under an hour. I wasn't in a hurry, but I appreciated the promptness. Jeff, the driver, was very professional. A Tesla is not like other cars, but Jeff had experience with other models before. He loaded up the vehicle and I rode to the SC with him. Along the way he was full of questions about my car, it made the 30 mile drive go by quickly. Jeff was a delight to talk to, so much so that I asked if he was headed back to Southlake/Keller and if I could ride with him rather than take an Uber. Jeff was nice enough to drop me back at my house. I don't know how pricing for towing services compares, but this was $125 for the hook up and $4/mile. Today on hwy 287 and Blue Mound truck #30 sped around the traffic exiting the highway, and forced me off the road. The driver then Went on to drive on the wrong side of the road to avoid waiting on the other traffic. When he couldn't make the turn onto Blue Mound he backed into intersection forcing another car off onto the shoulder. Calls to their dispatch were met with complete indifference. I was told "Go ahead and file a complaint". This all happened within 2 blocks of an elementary and Jr high school endangering children as well. It's irresponsible drivers and companies like this that advertise "Family owned" that give decent companies a bad name and create ill will. This driver almost killed someone today! read more

Quick to respond, and willing to work with clientele. Customer service was friendly over the phone. That being said, my wife and I were out of town when we needed her car towed, so we were unable to be there. When you trust people to take your valuables from one location to another location with specific instructions, you're placing a lot of faith in them. This is where they weren't able to deliver. Paid $200 to have our vehicle towed and dropped off for service only to find out when we get back in town that the service place has no idea that our car is there, even though specific instructions were given for the tow service to inform service reps that they had dropped our car off. This is profiteering pure and simple...there's nothing reasonable about charging me $317 dollars for towing my car 4.2 miles. You may want to consider my experience before you decide to do business with a company who appears to take advantage of people whenever they have an opportunity. Edd's towing appears to take advantage of people to charge the maximum amount of money just because they can...knowing that people have no recourse. The secretary was completely indifferent to my complaints and told me that if I didn't like it, I could take them to court. When do you EVER have a good experience getting towed? It's almost always in bad weather, absolutely always under bad circumstances, and there is inevitably a ridiculous wait followed by a gruff stranger in charge of your well being. Well the bad weather and the crappy circumstances were there, but Edd's showed up in under 30 minutes to pick us up. They were even nice enough to drive us to our house (because of course my husband's car is also in the shop right now, rendering us carless) BEFORE dropping my truck at the dealership. The driver was incredibly friendly and nice and even remembered to tell us to get our garage door opener, without which we would have been screwed. They took my car after a wreck and told me they would tow for free and then we could tell them where to take the car. I had NO choice on who would tow the car. This was on a Sunday. When I called Tues. I found out they were charging me per day. I had asked them to take my car to the body shop when I was at the wreck and they said they don't do that. Now I have to pay to have it towed to the body shop. Over $500 dollars. What a rip off!! This is so wrong!! read more

Edds Towing came to help with an unusual situation on my land. We had a Bobcat stuck in the mud behind my house. There was no way to drive back to pull it out. The Edds drivers made every effort to insure the right equipment was onhand to do the job with the least amount of damage to the yard, even calling in another truck. After they were complete, they asked if they could help fix the yard where the bobcat was pulled out -- they did all of this on a Sunday/holiday weekend. Thank you Edds! read more

These guys are great! I had the unfortunate experience of being in a wreck where I was hit from behind and my car was totaled. Eric from Edd's showed up on the scene and towed my vehicle for me. He was kind and considerate and gave me a lift to a nearby safe spot where my wife could come get me. He showed genuine concern and really helped me when I was out of sorts. The next day I went to get my things from my wrecked car at their lot and interacted with Chris on the phone and in person, the experience was the same. Okay - First off - I called to request a tow on a small car @ a specific time. The tow truck showed up nearly an hour late. As the tow truck driver started to perform the move the driver stated that he doesn't know how to put the car in neutral. Instead of calling me to ask for advice or try the override feature. Instead the driver called headquarters and they made an additional charge of $60. Needless to say- I wasn't advised of the charge offset. I called to speak with the owner and she said she will credit me the difference. Still waiting on my credit. read more

My Daughter's friend's car was towed because she had no insurance on her car. The girl was staying with us because of family problems.She had called EDD's TOWING & asked a few questions then she hung up. All her things was in her car so she did not have the vin # to put insurance on it. I told her to call back & ask if they would be able to read the vin # off her window registration sticker. The man was polite & said he could not do that over the phone. I called back & spoke to a woman(owner.)She said she couldn't hear me & hung up. I called back & I tried to ask her if there was a way that we could find the vin number to put insurance on it. She started yelling saying I cursed at her, which I did no such thing. When I finally got her to listen I asked if we could go there & get her info that was in the glove compartment. She said yes.We called her old insurance company & after about an hour aafordable insurance gave us the vin #. My husband called our insurance company & paid for her insurance. When we got there the lot was full of mud except the step into their tiny office. I asked why so much money & she got mad & said the police set the amount. When my daughters friend gave her the insurance paper, she yelled at us saying "you called us six times & you already had the vin #" I tried to tell her , but she didn't listen & then proceeded to call me a " bitc* " yelled at me " go back over the red river." My daughter started to yell back at her. The woman said "get off my property you are criminally trespassing. "Then she called the police on me & my daughter. I gave my daughters friend my creidit card & I grabbed my daughter & got her off the property. As I stepped down from the office unto the mud I slid & almost fell. I moved my van off their property & went back to get my credit card. The woman started yelling at me again while still on the phone with the police.
