After they told the dispatcher someone was on their way and gave us another 30 min ETA, we learned 35 mins later that they were looking for. a truck to come our way and quoted another hour. Upon arrival there was no one in the office (we buzzed the ringer multiple times), so we called the number on the building, and they told us to go across the street and someone over there would help us. We waited 30 minutes for the couple in front of us to be helped (and they seemed to be there for a while already too) and by the time it was our turn we were told to go back to the original building as someone was now at the office. This window is completely tinted and you can't see anyone inside so it was like talking to a disembodied voice. We went back over to the original building and there was already a line waiting. We waited another 20-30 minutes and luckily the lady at the desk was able to quickly help us as we just needed to sign the release form and grab personal items from the car. It was rainy that day and the entirety of the lot was muddy and slippery, which made it difficult to maneuver the lot. Even though I was there the same day it was towed, I still received a tow notification (which there is a fee of $50 because they send it by certified mail), a $20 impound fee, a $150 towing fee, and $22.85 plus tax storage fee per day starting with the day it was towed. Luckily insurance covered the tow out of the lot and the storage fees but would have been a nightmare otherwise. read more

This "wrecker service" was dispatched at 161 * 183 due to a flat tire by the police. My son had called the number on the back of his license for road side assistance & they referred him to another number - 3 hours later no show. The wrecker showed up, got out, lit a cigarette walked passed, no words and walked to talk to the police officer. He said he didn't have the tools to remove the spare...they towed his vehicle!!!!!!! Towed it!! My son wants drinking, he didn't have a wreck, he didn't hit anyone.....he just had a flat tire from something in the road he hit. Then the police drop him and his friend at Waffle House. I have been driving since I was 16, I am 52 and NOT ONCE IN MY LIFE has a wrecker towed my car for a flat tire that the professional couldn't figure out how to change a flat. MY son told him he had the money to pay him. The driver insisted the vehicle needed to be towed and just left them stranded. My son asked cam you take us somewhere? His reply, "No." We got there today and were told we could not get to the vehicle to see the tire because it was registered in his dad's name. The "woman" behind the black glass asked for the registration. We only wanted to see the tire type so that we could purchase another tire since the incompetent wrecker didn't know how to change a flat & just took his car to price gouge. She does not belong in customer service Now, reminder this is only a flat tire. No criminal offense No wreck NO DRINKING just hit something on the highway. FULL INSURANCE CASH and Credit card in hand to pay for the process. But the wrecker guy hauls it off. Yes, I am totally aware I am repeating myself. This incompetence is blatant laziness, an opportunity to take advantage and price gouge. "The unsatisfactory "woman" said it would be $217 to get our vehicle out of storage.....for a flat. We could not park in the parking lot to change the tire. We could not park across the street. I said well the street is public, have your wrecker park it there because you do not own the public street. We looked at the tire and wrote down the tire type... We got the tools to remove the spare from underneath the Forerunner. My husband arrived and guess what he did....the pictures reflect. A competent non lazy man removed the spare. Obviously, he was not motivated by a cigarette and an opportunity to make some money for the ever honest wrecker. My spouse removed the spare!!! This same spare this said wrecker said he could not and then towed sons suv. Wow, how did thay happen? Yes, repeating again. We paid the $217 before a very, super nice employee hauled the vehicle out and moved it to the parking lot. He told us he could because the woman had no idea what she is talking about. I asked the woman...now, this won't be charged to his father's Insurance, correct. Her asinine answer, "I don't know." You don't know???? What do you mean you don't know? We paid for a fraudulent tow, a fraudulent charge and his insurance better not be charged. For a flat TIRE!!!!!! Again, repeating myself. Here are the pictures I plan to share with the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Department of Licensing Regulation for price gouging for a simple flat tire son had the money. A wrecker staff. We also put on the spare....as pictures will notate. My son was an hour from home, in the dark, on a turn with no lights. It was only 6:45. He didn't have flashers to put on the street to change tire. He could have gotten hit. We offered to drive and help and he was confident in this "system" to help him. A very sad, enlightening piece of you know what business. There was two local business with two very nice men across the street. He said the business was crooked. He said they always park their tow trucks on their private lot. The private lot the "woman" told us we could not park to remove flat and replace with spare. He said the owner of the property is angry because they have broken up the concrete. Worse towing service of my adult life (30+ years). Tow truck driver arrived with an attitude and ticked off because she said my Tesla could not be towed from the garage in a flatbed. I explained that we could put it in tow mode and push it out. She repeatedly stated very angrily that "Teslas cannot be pushed because they are too heavy". I told her in neutral (tow mode) they can. Repeated herself adding "this is what I do, I know! I've had 12 people try to push a Tesla and it can't be done". I went over to my car, put it in tow mode and pushed it with one hand half way out the garage. I went back to her truck and said "you see?" No apology, no change in demeanor, just said "now get it out the rest and turn it". She never got out of the truck, I had to call my wife who just had surgery to come get in the car to turn the wheel while I pushed to place the car in position for her to lift it and even after finishing the job, no humility about her mistake or attitude and certainly no apology. Called to speak to manager, got dispatcher instead (none available) and she too had an attitude and kept interrupting me and raising her voice while I tried to explain what had happened, kept justifying the driver's behavior, asking what I do for a living and when I told her, she said "well I don't go to your hospital and tell you how to operate!", going on to tell me this was all just my opinions. To which I ended with "no mam, not opinions, these are facts. Fact your driver had an attitude, was demeaning and condescending. Fact, she said Teslas can't be pushed because they are too heavy. Fact, she was wrong. Fact she didn't help, didn't try to correct the situation in any way and provided TERRIBLE customer service". Never use Wallnut Hill Wrecker (towing) if you have other choices!! My ex-husband, father of my children and best friend, Jared Garner used to work for Walnut Hill Wrecker about 9+ years ago. He left when we were expecting our youngest son and decided it would be best to move back to California to be closer to family. Part of that family was Jared's oldest brother, Jason who was, at that time, completing the police academy. Deputy Sheriff Jason Garner recently died while on duty in Stanislaus County, CA in an unexplained vehicle accident. I'm a out of state driver of commercial vehicles and blew a steer tire on the LBJ and although I was able to get the vehicle off the highway when the tire shop arrived they were unable to safely lift the vehicle to change the tire so they called for reinforcements from Walnut Hill Wrecker Service. Micah arrived in a reasonable amount of time with the 50ton unit to assist in the repair. He took GREAT care to insure that he did no damage to my vehicle and I was only billed for "site time". No one would answer the phones so I couldn't get in touch with anyone. Pretty sure no one works there because I called 6 times. Also, they must have one driver. ********I was wronged****** I live in Irving apartment and have two cars one is a newer model car that is bad on gas and another is a late model vehicle that is great on gas. I work in Fort Worth and have recently been driving my newer model vehicle, due to the hot temperatures. I took a small vacation on June the 29th and came home on 1am July the 4th. When I got home I saw a sticker on my car that stated that my older car was to be towed on July the 8th 2013. So since I was getting paid that Friday I said I will get my inspection sticker updated and have the car ready on that Saturday the 6th. Saturday the 6th came and as i go out to my car it is gone. I called went to the office and they gave me the tow company number to call. I contacted the tow company and a Marrion gets on the phone and tells me that my car was dirty and looked abandoned I explained to him that my sticker says the 8th on it and his response is that someone could have easily doctored the sticker. He said that he has a picture of the sticker on my car with a 5 on it. I scratched my head and thought how could that be. That thought had never crossed my mind. And that is when it struck me this guy put a 5 on the sticker took a picture and then changed it . I could not believe it. He began to tell me that my complex doesn't want that type of vehicle there and that the reason why he towed it was because it wasn't washed and there was a spider web on the car. I was floored, The car runs perfectly. I have driven it for months but because it got dusty and I haven't washed it, then they have a right to tow it 3 days early. This is unbelievable, they are trying to charge me in access of 300 dollars to get my perfectly running car back. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE. If you have been cheated and had your dates changed then speak out. I know that I am not the only one this has happened to.
