I'm new to Dallas and recently needed a jump-start. I don't drive a lot so the battery power had drained while my SUV was parked in the garage. I took to Google to find roadside assistance companies in my area and made some phone calls. One company's phone number went straight to voice mail and they didn't return the call until later. Two companies had "dispatchers" who spoke a mile a minute and sounded somewhat irritated when I asked a few questions. Both indicated a fee for the service call plus a separate fee for the "jump-start" which couldn't be quoted until the driver was on site. Both also required my credit card information up front. Not having a good vibe about either company, I wasn't surprised to read a variety of negative comments. Thankfully, there are honest and more professional companies like KB Towing & Roadside Assistance who only has positive reviews on Google and Yelp. I spoke to Adam (not a dispatcher) who was extremely pleasant and who quoted a simple flat fee that was less than other companies. He was on time after estimating about 45 minutes and called me when he arrived at our condo complex. He quickly took care of jump-starting the battery and only then wrote up an invoice and took my credit card payment. If you are in the Richardson/Plano area, I cannot recommend KB Towing highly enough. I wish there were six stars! The front left tire of my car flew off (don't ask!) and the car is already very low to the ground. KB showed up within 15 minutes of my call, pulled off a very difficult tow without causing any more damage to my car. They dropped it off exactly as I had instructed, and sent me a text message with a photograph when they had delivered it. Extremely courteous, friendly, and professional service. They took my credit card and provided an electronic receipt within minutes. Not necessarily the lowest cost provider, but they are worth every penny! I called to get my sweet baby 2008 bmw 550i towed to the mechanic 7 miles away. KB towing answered the phone promptly and was able to get to me within the hour. The driver called me shortly after with his eta to my home. When he arrived he was wearing a mask and appropriately distanced himself without it being weird. During loading my car , since it sits low to the ground he properly and slowly got her up on the flatbed. I was pleased with his friendly manner and appreciated the quick response. I called to schedule a tow truck at midnight. I needed the truck for early the next day. I spoke with Adam, and explained that I had a mustang convertible, in my garage, that I needed moved, and the breaks were inoperable. Adam showed up on time the next morning and was so careful with my car. He was a pro, I was impressed, on how he got the car out of the garage, and made it look easy.
