Like many people, most of my experience with towing companies has been negative. So, I find it a bit unusual to feel compelled to write a rave review in this category, but Maverick at Amy's is absolutely deserving. First of all, Maverick knows his stuff. Another company I called said we couldn't tow a vehicle back to a dealership after hours because the gates would be locked. Maverick not only knew that this was not the case, but was familiar with the procedure down to a tee. He also knows a great deal about which lots tow and after what time. He knows his business and his market inside and out. Secondly, he did exactly what he said he would do and was there in a timely fashion. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly in a stressful situation, he was also extremely kind, even indulging my curiosity about how to get a car with two blown tires onto a flat bed. Maverick, owner of Amy's Towing Service was the first one I called to get my vehicle to a local shop. He replied promptly and gave me a quote, then arrived 45 minutes later. As he was winching the car up, I told him that the front end had begun scraping the ground. He pulled out some lumber to lift it, got it onto the flatbed, and took it to my mechanic. When I went to pay him, he mentioned that there was a five dollar per mile surcharge and another charge because he had to use the lumber, as well as some other miscellaneous charge, making the final cost double his original quote. I told him it would've been good if he had mentioned the additional charges upfront, because it seemed dishonest. He did not take me seriously and said he might've forgotten to mention it. Although he offered to take payment by credit card or Zelle, he changed his mind and insisted on payment via Zelle. This is not professionalism at its best. Despite this, he's a friendly guy and enjoyable to talk to. However, I would much rather not get get deceived with a low quote and gouged in the end for what should've been a very basic tow 20 minute tow. read more

Amy's Towing Service is a reputable and reasonably priced service; they gave me a direct quote for a tow to an auto repair service, 5 miles for $85. The auto place I had originally intended was unfortunately out of business, but the driver recommended me to another auto service, and cut 2 miles off of the 12 mile total tow for a $100 service. The only issue I had was timing and availability. I had called them that same day in the morning at around 10:00am, where nobody picked up, and when I arranged the towing time, I had to call them a second time to clarify the time and location. As I initially said, this service is reputable and well priced for the Richardson area, and I recommend it. read more
