    Welcome!
    Karin F.

Great place for training, boarding and grooming your canine friends. Took our little rescue pup for boot camp and they did a great job with him! Love the drop in nail trims and everyone here is so nice. I'd highly recommend bringing your dog here for boarding, grooming, and training!

Our dog gives On Command two paws up!

We are so pleased with the boarding facilities here. They took great care of our dog! The inside and outside is super clean, staff is friendly and I could tell my dog was well-cared for when I picked her up after her three-day stay. She is a little nervous in new situations, but they won her over. Thank you to all the people in the front office and the kennels. I would recommend On Command to anyone!!

    Pooped matted to his behind

If I could leave one star I would. Barry the owner told me to shut up and said "we don't give a f*ck" and hung up on me twice. We picked up our dogs from boarding and our labradoodle had matted poop on his behind. He had to be shaved and has sores from it being there for so long. We called everyday to check on them and never once was anything mentioned. The supervisor told me they noticed it after a couple of days and tried to remove it with a baby wipe but he wouldn't let them so they left it. I recorded all the calls anticipating this sort of response after reading all the yelp reviews with responses from the owner. While trying to explain the situation he tried to completely place blame on us for not noticing it right at pick up, and called me kiddo. I told him please don't refer to me as kiddo I'm a grown women he hung up on me after yelling over me. When I called back he said he has kids older than me do whatever we need to do, shut up and we don't give a f*ck. He clearly does not, do not leave your dogs here.

GROOMING REVIEW: We used training here and didn't like it, however, Kylie grooms our bernedoodle Finley and she looks adorable every time. Kylie loves Finley and it makes us so comfortable knowing that she is in good hands while getting groomed. We always appreciate the time she takes with her and the love she puts into her grooms. Thanks Kylie!

Do NOT take your dog to OnCommand Dog Boarding. I took my dog to board with them for the very first time of my 10 month old Great Dane. I had to go to a funeral and on memorial weekend, everyone else was booked for someone to come stay at my house instead of boarding. He was there for a total of 4 days. My dog typically eats 8 cups of dog food per day. He is a very food motivated dog. He is also a big dog. We left him there at over 150 pounds. When I went to pick him up, the entire bin of food that would have normally been almost empty, was the same as when I got it back. My dog was skin and bones. We brought him home thinking he was probably just stressed. He didn't want to eat much but we encourage him. Day 2 comes and I woke up to all the food he had eaten the day before thrown up in a huge pile with 104.5 temperature. I immediately took him to the emergency vet. He weighed 132 pounds.. We had to give him a shot for nausea and medicine to get his appetite back. He was extremely stressed. I called on command and they told me he had eaten but one one day he didn't eat AT ALL. That is obviously a lie. I tried to tell the owner how disappointed I was and he didn't have any answers for me other than "we did our best" and tried to blame me as to why I waited when I only waited a day and a half to see if he would eat (which he did but threw up next day) and didn't know what was going on. Before leaving him there I had asked them to please call me if they have any issues and I would find someone to get him or have a back up plan. I can't even imagine if I would have left him there for a week or two. Who knows what he would look like or if he would even be alive. Who knows. But never again. Attached is a picture of my hefty boy with my son before I took him in and the pictures with his bones are when I was at the emergency animal hospital.

As a large pit mix I'd rescued, these issues were super demoralizing and we were scared Bo would someday hurt someone, despite our constant vigilance. Plus his world had gotten super small because I couldn't trust taking him to the places we used to hang in public. Anyway, after the meet and greet we went with a moderate board and train program. And then it didn't start as smoothly as we all hoped. Not because of their team, Bo was just more aggressive and reactive than he'd displayed during the meet and greet. Was it disappointing - absolutely, but most important was Stand Proud were having the difficult conversation with us about what Bo needed. We all came up with a plan that set Bo up for success, and they made sure it was something we were comfortable with. Since then, it's been a journey, but the results are remarkable and they've been so invested in his success. He's got a strong grasp on place and sit until released, and even off-leash skills and recall. He's also much more comfortable regulating himself and waiting for guidance when he's unsure. We're so much more confident and proud of the goofball. Thanks Stand proud team!

In my prior review I noted that I hoped to update my review with greater success. Well, we've done it! Our dog who had serious separation anxiety has been weaned off her anxiety and sedation medications and can stay home alone for 8-10 hours with absolutely no problems. The text to our family read: "She's fixed!! We've done it!". Bark Busters taught us how to keep our dog engaged through daily tasks and activities and they taught us how to speak Zoey's language. She is so much happier and less anxious. We are still seeing improvements in how she handles other dogs and we are working on her car anxiety but being able to leave Zoey home alone has been a huge lifestyle improvement for us. If you're thinking about hiring Bark Busters but can't decide - just do it. It takes time and dedication but their process works and you will have a happier dog in several months.

We went onto do 3 levels of classes with him. Classes were hands down the best investment we made for him, and he went on to live a wonderful fear-free life. I attribute his high quality of life to his basic training classes and the time we put in when he was a puppy. He learned from a very young age how to settle and be calm in lots of different situations. He learned to trust our directions which kept him safe. Puppy social is in my opinion one of the best classes to put a young puppy in. They get to meet other dogs and people in a safe environment, and the puppies teach each other soft bite and learn how to be social. We recently brought a new puppy into our lives. I love the structure of Pjs classes where your puppy is with the same dogs for the 6-week duration. The happy little puppies can all see each other during the class at Pjs, no barriers (unless required to reduce stress of the pet). I like the scaffolding approach that PJs classes offer. You build the dogs' confidence and skills up in a logical way for them to learn. Plus, the puppies are all watching each other learn the same things. It's adorable. Our new puppy has done several levels of classes at Pjs' beautiful new facility in Sparks and HE LOVES IT. He just completed his AKC Canine Good Citizen, we can now consider therapy work down the road with him. He is so excited to get in the door for any play group I take him to and to his classes. We absolutely loved Rally O with Susie, she is amazing. We have referred Susie to friends with some rescues for consultations and they have been super happy. We will complete all the classes PJ dog training offers, because our dog just loves to learn, he really likes to use his brain. He exudes happiness when we get to class. Thank you, PJ and Susie, for helping us raise a happy confident dog yet again and offering such great classes. Highly recommend Pjs, they have so much experience and are CCPTD certified. They also give you time at the beginning of any class for a quick discussion on any "challenge areas". You learn so much to help you understand your dog's behavior. All classes use positive reinforcement. You learn to build a trusting relationship with your furry family members from a place of respect and love. The facility is always so clean, and they take excellent care in making sure your puppies are safe and not exposed to any bugs. We have never had any problems. 10 stars from us!!

I called later about boarding. They really push for you to just fill out a form. They will not give any kind of estimate. I understand that circumstances will vary, but a price range would be good. I had a contractor at my home once looking out my window and commenting "all you rich people up here." He way overcharged me and we aren't all rich. Not saying she would do this, I just like to be quoted a price range. She seems to take care of her employees and has a decent business plan. Costs to meet with them, as it should. Where she lost me was asking how long the dogs could be left alone. Well, several hours I suppose. She kinda beat around the bush then told me that all of her Nannys have full time careers. If I am working outside of the house for a full work day, I take my dogs to day care. An 8-9 hour work day and commute, leaves my dogs alone for at least 9-10 hours. How does the Nanny have time to exercise them? She also said that a Nanny can only work for one week. So, if you are gone for more than one week, you would have 2 nannies. Not a huge deal, but two different people in my home is a question mark. She ended the conversation with "fill out the online form and we will see if we have any nannies available." Didn't sound like she even wanted the business and seemed like she didn't have many nannies. I have 2 easy, older dogs, but they need daily exercise. I don't need someone with my dogs 24/7, but I would not leave them more than 6 hours at a time, so just being fed and having someone overnight, is not what I am looking for. That being said, if this works for others, they may be a great service.
