I need to add to my previous review. Since our last vacation our older dog had to make his way to the happy hunting ground. Not long after we encountered a stray on our walks with our Frenchie. We observed her for about four months before we became sure she was a stray--a German shepherd, about 11 months old. She is doing well now; at 75 lbs she is large and athletic. We were concerned because, while she is a sweetheart, she can be a handful. She took to Brynda and Billy right away--they were very good with her. When we returned from our vacation both dogs were healthy, happy and a little sad to see Brynda and Billy leave. So happy I found Brynda to watch my dog Terra! We needed someone last minute to watch our pup over the weekend. Brynda luckily had an opening! I brought my dog over to meet her to ensure it was a good fit on both sides. Brynda is clearly a dog lover and also very knowledgeable with how to introduce dogs into her home and with the other dogs staying there. I felt instantly comfortable. She made sure to ask about Terra's routines, preferences, and temperament. Over the weekend I got a bunch of videos and pictures of Terra which I loved- she looked so happy in the home and playing with her new friends. They treated our dog like their own- let her in the house, on the furniture, gave her treats and lots of love. They were also very accommodating with our schedule- at first I wanted to pick her up late at night and she said she'd be awake. Our flight ended up getting cancelled and I needed help watching Terra for an additional night and it was no problem. Terra was so happy when I picked her up and even made a new best friend with another dog she was sad to leave. This will be my go-to service for when I'm out of town in the future! I found Brynda & Billy and knew that they were just what I was looking for, and they couldn't have been more phenomenal. Scheduling with them was easy - it took only a phone call to block off my dates (they will look after ONLY your dog when you reserve time with them!). I had to cut my stay with them by a day and they were happy to accommodate this adjustment. Their rates were competitive with any dog boarding facility in the area as well. Their home is the PERFECT place for your dog. They have a large backyard with a doggy door (which they'll teach your pup to use!). They also have a dog who is well-trained, well-socialized, and a great companion for your pup (having a friend for my dog was a big bonus). They have a great structure for on-boarding a new dog into their home for the first time. They welcomed my dog by taking him to the backyard first, allowing him to get acquainted with the space, then introduced their dog while we chatted. Before I left they were already teaching my pup to use the doggy door! They'll also assist with any special dietary measures or medications. They welcomed him with open arms, and I felt incredibly comfortable and confident that he would enjoy his stay. Brynda & Billy provided such personalized care for my dog. As mentioned previously, they have a policy of only watching 1 family's animals at a time so you are assured that your dog(s) is/are well taken care of and attended to. I received multiple photos and videos every day of my pup having a great time. They also provided transportation services for my dog. I was so thrilled that they could bring my dog to and from my wedding, allowing him to be a part of our special day. Billy & Brynda handled all of the logistics, making for a seamless experience. I most definitely could not have gotten this at a boarding facility, and was hard-pressed to find anywhere else that could do this. Billy & Brynda were truly family away from family for my dog.
