I wonder where the 5-star ratings are coming from…read more I have been a Visionworks Rosedale customer for over 10 years, but I finally called it quits a week ago. Visionworks used to be great but downhill after COVID. They used to have optometrists who actually performed in-office visits but, the company started Vision-link (virtual visits) during the pandemic and the optometrist were never returned in office. I stuck around out of loyalty, even though the equipment was often broken, service was slow, and employees came and went like a revolving door. I wonder why. The last straw? Well, I made an appointment for 3 weeks ago. On arrival, I was told that their equipment was down and had just restarted, that and it would be an 40-minute wait. I said, no problem and stuck around. About 3 people were ahead of me who have not been seen. I waited for an hour and half and decided to reschedule. The next available appointment was in 2 weeks. I said no problem, I would reschedule my other appointments. On the appointment day, due to an accident, I was 8 mins late. Immediately I arrived, the lady at the desk said, "we can't see you today, we have a 5-minute grace period". I apologized for being late and begged to be fit in. After all, there is still one person waiting to be seen. The man also stated he has been waiting for a while, and at the door it is clearly written "walk-ins welcome". The lady blatantly refused. I asked myself why I continued to take this nonsense. I requested for my previous exam prescription. They acted like they couldn't obtain it. They finally provided it when they found out I wasn't budging. As I left the building, I contacted Walmart Vision and was seen same day by an in-person optometrist who was very personable and works with a great crew. I was even provided sample contact lenses to try. I also found out that I have been over-paying for my contacts through Visionworks. I have been paying double the cost even with my insurance! Honestly, I'm glad this experience pushed me to make a change after these many years.

Lauren was super helpful, nice, and funny we didn't feel rushed at all and had great conversations with her! She was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations! After a bad experience we endured at another establishment Lauren made it feel like a blessing in disguise. I was told the the way I choose to wear my glasses is impossible (even though I've been wearing them the same way for years). Stopped in this evening at the Campbell Blvd location and the ladies at the desk were able to successfully adjust my glasses so I could wear them comfortably. And they did so without an attitude. I ended up taking her back to see them becasue after 12 days and still problems with her eye something needed to be done. She threw a small fit in the office and cried of course she is in pain. He threatened her telling her that she had to go to the hospital and the were gonna put her to sleep and strap her down to a table to examine her. Of course that made matters worse. He then stood up and grabbed the papers off her chart and tore them up right in front of me and her. He told me my daughter was out of control and needed to be sedated in order to be examined. I did take her to GBMC and they treated herwithout a problem. She was not out of control but did everything the doctors asked. Please do not take your child to this man.

He was thorough in his assessment, offering insight and background information that helped to give a grounded understanding of my eye health. He was patient and kind in a way that made me feel very comfortable. I've historically had subpar, terrible interactions at the eye doctor so this was a lovely reparative experience. The front desk staff hyped up my sneakers and were so kind. They explained the process and allowed me to look around for my new specs. A sales associate helped me through it as I wasn't sure quite what I wanted. They have so many brands and styles. I picked out a few pair of glassess and she held them for me until after I finished my exam. Karl was my optometrist. This man has amazing interpersonal skills! I had to wait 6 weeks for an appointment with a dry eye Dr. for 9/25/25…read more On 9/23/25 at 10:24 am I get a call from Eyecare Service informing me that the Dr. would not be in on 9/25/25. The caller said she would call me back to reschedule, I never heard back from them. I called this morning to get rescheduled and was informed the appointment was not cancelled. I was in disbelief! What is going on there! I did not trust them and cancelled the appointment just in case they were misinformed., because I did not want to be charged for missed appointment. I requested that management call me so that I may discuss this issue with them. Then I find out that they reassigned my 10am appointment to someone else! Something seems fishy to me. I believe they wanted my time slot for someone else and figured I would not mind, telling me that the Dr. would not be in that day-9/25/25.
