My delicious meal! Lomo saltado, shaken beef with garlic noodle, and grilled pork vermicelli
Czarina D.

Impressed! As a Lomo Saltado lover, I was so happy to see some nearby Peruvian/Vietnamese food. Ordered a few things off Doordash and everything was really really good! I got to try the Lomo Saltado, Garlic Noodle with Shaken Beef, and Grilled Pork Vermicelli with Egg Roll. The Lomo Saltado was SO GOOD! I was so impressed by how the french fries stayed crispy and the overall flavor was incredibly addicting. Amazing green sauce as well (and the green sauce is good on just about anything). I also really enjoyed the Shaken Beef with garlic noodle. I loved the plethora of vegetables and the beef was cooked perfectly! Flavors were again fantastic. This is just my preference, but I would've loved a more punchy/pronounced garlic flavor and perhaps slightly thinner noodles. But that's just my preference! :) The Pork Vermicelli was another great dish! The pork was marinated SO WELL. Enjoyed their nước chấm (sweet & sour fish sauce) which I poured onto everything. Only thing that was missing was that I wish they gave me something spicy like chili sauce/sambal oelek (but no worries, I always have a jar of sambal at home). Egg roll was also fried to perfection and not oily at all! Overall, a really delicious meal! Would definitely eat here again!

4.5, loved their fullerton location and glad that there is another spot here in costa mesa (even though they are just take-out). loved the food so hopefully there will also be a dine-in location some day!

I came to this amazing restaurant for my birthday back in October and was blown away…read more Our server was great The food was great (get the table side tomahawk, it was amazing. They cook it right there and then put it on a sizzling salt block on your table to finish cooking) And you can't beat the location So, when my south coast plaza advisor sent me an invite to a Gucci event held at this amazing restaurant, I just had to go. The ambiance is top notch, 5 stars just for the atmosphere alone Extremely clean Amazing bar and drinks Great staff Now, to their private room where this was hosted. Gucci, was so kind to give us all gift bags But the real spoiling came from AnQi bistro! Every station we went to, had a different food and drink pairing At the first station they had Truffle sashimi with caviar Paired with their tumeric drink Next up Lavender mojito Paired with lobster and shrimp dumplings Next was Grilled octopus and papaya salad Paired with a drink called -spring breeze Last up Chive and leek dumplings Paired with lychee cloud to drink (This was actually the only thing I could have because I don't eat seafood. And it was a 10 out of 10) Everyone was raving about the food and how beautiful the interior is. I really can't stress how nice of a place it is. It has a very laid back, upscale and trendy vibe This is one of my favorite places to eat at south coast plaza, hands down. And it's conveniently located inside Bloomingdales. It doesn't get better than that

I haven't been back in a while and somehow this time I felt disappointed. I think we had a bad…read morestart with the famous Garlic Noodles that came first. It looked so plain and small for $22. I took a bite and although the noodle texture was good but there was almost no flavor. We ended up returning the dish and had it taken off our bill. Luckily the second dish was the butterfish, which lived up to my expectations. Perfectly tender and flaky fish and crunchy bok choy on a bed of forbidden rice. All very well flavored. We also ordered the 8 oz filet mignon medium rare with Vietnamese black pepper sauce and roasted garlic. This was nicely presented and came out on a sizzling salt plate. The filet was pre sliced with the inside pieces cooked nicely but the outermost pieces were a little overcooked...probably because I left it on the sizzling plate for too long. The kimchi dumplings were pretty good and smelled great coming out. However it was such a small dish with 4 small dumplings for $18. Overall, I would have given them a 4 for food quality and ambience but the high prices brought the review down to a 3 star.

We ordered a variety of dishes: - Fennel Sausage Meatballs (7/10): Not spicy at all, and the ricotta was a nice touch. The sauce was also delicious and meatballs were seasoned well. However they were a bit on the dry side. - Crispy Calamari (8/10): Not the best calamari I've ever had but far from the worst. It was cooked very well, not chewy and the batter was nice and light + seasoned well. The cocktail sauce was a little strange though, would have preferred aioli or just a simple marinara - Smoked Short Rib Cavatelli (7/10): There was a generous amount of short rib in this dish and it was cooked very well. The sauce was also yummy, but the dish overall was just okay in my opinion. Didn't wow me and I don't know if I would order it again - Spiced Pear Panna Cotta (10/10): This was actually my favorite dish of the night. Looked super pretty and tasted even better. The panna cotta was smooth and silky, the berry compote was sweet and tart, which paired so well with the fresh, crisp pear chunks. Super light and well balanced dessert, I could eat this every day! Portions were generous especially for the prices, which are lower than comparative restaurants. Service was standard. Ambiance was nice, though a bit loud when the restaurant was completely full. Overall the flavors and presentation are on-point here and I would return to try more dishes!

This restaurant was amazing! There was no wait when we went for weekday dinner but there are very…read morefew tables so I would expect a longer wait on the weekends. The raichi drink was good and the miso carbonara was creamy and the proportion of bacon to pasta was perfect. It is super cute inside as well, but the service was kinda slow because they only had one server for all the tables. I think it's important to compare this to Ini ristorante because I think with this place being new that it is quite similar to Ini especially with the japanese italian fusion concept. I would say it is basically the same price if not more expensive than if you were to go to Ini and I personally think the food, ambiance and service is better at Ini than here. So in the future, I would be open to going back and there was nothing wrong with the restaurant, but I would definitely choose Ini over momonoki just cause I feel like I get more with how much I spend.
