I ordered some RayBan frames and took them and my prescription to Affordable Optics. Carla said, "I like the ones you're wearing better." I said "Me too!!!" and told her my tale of woe. She literally said, "Pffffft." They easily put new lenses in the old frames. I have since had two other pairs of glasses made by them--both with vintage frames. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. They really should be called Luxury Optics.

Got some Ray-AI frames at Costco, but had to go here to convert the sunglasses into prescription…read moreglasses. Costco won't do that for those frames, so LensCrafters has to do it. While there my husband bought an additional frame, and lenses. Not cheap as you may know. That was last September. Recently one of the lenses in the LensCrafters frames started to fracture, visible cracks by the nosepiece. That's only about 8 months ago... we assumed (wrongly as it turned out) that the lenses ( made and installed in their own facility ) would have at least a one year warranty.... But no. We were told in no uncertain terms they would not make a new lens since we had not purchased an extra cost warranty when we bought them. And the woman was NOT friendly at all, or the least bit sympathetic to the failure of THEIR lens to last at least one year. Never again will we darken that store. It's a shame Luxottica owns so many brands. Meanwhile, we'll continue to shop Costco Optical. They stand behind what THEY sell... LensCrafters couldn't give a f**k
