Sandy totally bailed me out. I was stranded in Palm Desert without contacts and she quite literally saved the day by providing me with a set of trials. They went above and beyond expectations, which translates to how they treat their clients. I can't recommend this optometrist enough!!! read more

My wife and I were on vacation. I was able to break and damage two pairs of glasses. I had 4 more days of vacation left and needed help in a bad way. I found AO on yelp, reviews were good so I stopped in. I'm glad I did. There were able to fix my damaged glasses and gave me a referral to fix my broken pair. The staff was great. I highly recommend them. read more

Great doctor! But the rest is inadequate. Took 3 weeks to get the wrong lenses, try to adjust my new frame and ended overheating it... Oliver Peoples change the frame for me at $0... read more

Excellent service. The optometrist is simply wonderful and exceptional, took plenty of time, was very thorough, and highly accurate. Just a joy to be with such a kind, professional, and competent optometrist. read more

Super nice doctor. very thorough eye exam and explains everything. They have some nice frames there also.

Honestly they deserve 5 stars because they were the only damn optometrist/ optician store that had a hard lens plunger. Out of all the places this was the only place to carry them. They made sure they had it and even told me the price. They were a lifesaver. read more

The worst prescription I have ever received. I simply cannot see with their prescription. They stood behind their prescription, although I had glasses made by 3 different opticians. so now I am out over $2000, and cannot use my new glasses. I will be seeing a new optometrist and starting over. I have been wearing progressive lenses for over 30 years, wnd have never had this problem. read more

As the year (2019) was coming to an end, my husband and I decided get new glasses. Nothing like waiting until the last second!! Stopped by on 12/28 and made an appointment for 12/30! Everyone in this office is GREAT!! Jay was SUPER friendly from the start! The Doctor had to hear both my husband and I go back and forth about who had the worse eyes (I did)! And Julie is my kind of girl... Friendly, sweet, super helpful, professional but don't let the GREAT smile fool you!! This office made a normally non-fun experience, a GREAT time! And I LOVE my new glasses! Thank you ALL!! We will be back again at the "last second" of 2020! read more

I highly recommend these guys. Everyone was polite and professional and the doctor spent a lot of time with me and the prescription was perfect for both contacts and glasses. I will definitely go back. read more

Great team of professionals and always able to help. I'm a klutz and have broken my glasses a couple times over the time I've been coming here. I receive replacements pretty quickly. Very friendly people. read more

We love Dr Lebby but we will not go back now as Julie at the front desk was so rude to us. All we asked was to have our insurance explained and she went off on my daughter. This is no way to treat any of their paying customers. We have a family of 5 who were all going there and we loved Jay. Now that Jay is gone the service has gone down hill. I would not recommend this place. One bad apple can spoil the entire batch and that is too bad they have one that sits out front. read more

This eye doctor is great. He is knowledgeable, and a great listener. Having gone through a few eye doctors over the years, one who listens, understands the issues I'm having due to a TBI, is a godsend. The staff is wonderful and thoughtful as well. read more

The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, professional & courteous. Dr. Baus was professional & efficient. He knows what he's doing. I was quite satisfied with my first time visit & will definitely keep going back. I recommend Dr. Charles J. Baus & his staff at Advanced Optometry. My glasses arrived 1 week sooner than expected so I was also pleased about that. read more

I am very pleased with the service I received at Advanced Optometry for both my vision exam and my glasses. With my insurance the cost was very reasonable. There was a delay with the lenses at the lab and Julie diligently followed up on the delay. She got me compensation from the lab in the form of additional lenses for my sunglasses. read more

The staff is wonderful and very professional all wearing their masks. Dr is wonderful always have the best experience.

I saw Dr. Baus months ago. Dr. Baus gave me a thorough exam and explained my eye problems. He is very informative, professional, and kind. His staff however needs more direction on how to treat people. Sad. I called and left a message a month ago for Dr. B to call me regarding a prescription he gave me. NO CALL. I called and set an appointment with him last Wednesday. I received 5 calls from his confused staff. They have my insurance information. I asked them to call my insurance company as I am covered. I had to call and get numbers from my eye med insurance. I gave the numbers to the staff and still, and they were still confused. Sad that they can not figure out how to inquire to insurance companies. I did receive good care from Dr. Baus. I did receive the prescription he promised months ago. I will not go back as I can't deal with the front desk incompetence. Please see this amazing Doctor. You will receive the care and expertise you deserve from him. read more

Dr. Baus is awesome. He did a thorough examination on me and I have NEVER had such a complete examination before. He spent about 1 hour with me checking everything and going over my options. I hadn't had an eye exam in 2 yrs and a close friend referred me to advanced optometry. I'm disabled so I have to pick a place that can help me with my special needs. Well. From the moment I walked in Sean the guy who did the first tests was just great. Then I saw Dr Baus. He did an excellent eye exam that really was helpful from a perspective of someone who needed explaining on lots of things. Really, really good eye Dr. Now I go to pick out glasses and the girl who helped me, Julie, was as amazing as they come. She told me the 1st frame I tried on was not for me and she wouldnt let me get it. Loved the honesty. I cannot wait till the glasses I did pick out are ready.....thanks everyone at Advanced Optometry!!!! read more

My Mom was treated exceptionally well at Advanced Optometry. She is 90 years old, and has some mobility issues. Cameron was very understanding and assisted us in getting her to the various machines they use to perform eye exams. After it was all over and we had ordered her new glasses, she commented that she thought this was the most thorough diagnostic eye experience she had ever had. Good job, Advanced Optometry and specifically Cameron!!! read more

I've been wearing glasses and contacts for almost 30 years and this location offers exceptional care. Dr. Baus, is the most thorough optometrist I have ever encountered. Seriously. And Julie at the front desk is extremely helpful, kind, and definitely knows how to give a great recommendation on glasses and assisting with making them fit comfortably and correctly. The office is always well kept and clean. Thank you for providing such great care, Advanced Optometry! I will forever be a patient of yours as long as I live in the valley! read more

Finally got around to updating my review! I do enjoy how friendly they are in the office. I do like my frames. However, I am a little torn on the value. I paid over $600 for my exam, frames and lenses (my frames were around $200). It's hard to wrap my head around the price...but I needed new glasses. They lasted about 9 months until I needed new lenses because the anti-reflective coating wore off. Thank goodness I had a warranty on my lenses. They DID replace the lenses at no cost and changed out the coating because the first lenses had a green tint to them. Will I get my next pair with them, probably not, it's just too expensive. But, I did like the dr. and office staff. read more

There is nothing more important that making sure any eye issues are spotted right away. Dr. Baus and his staff are phenomenal. They are very thorough with their examinations. Dr. Baus is excellent. And they are very careful with cleaning between patients and scheduling so the waiting room stays safe. read more

Entire staff is helpful and professional. Julie has steered me away from glasses I wanted twice now, and was right both times, they were wrong for my face. I have been a patient here for 4 years. The Doctors are first rate and they always answer all my questions. But the reason I keep going back is because of Julie. This is the find of the century! What an amazing staff of Jay, Julie, and Dr. Bill Kiernan! I will recommend to everyone I meet that needs eyecare! Simply awesome and fun :) read more

Made an appointment here as we had heard Dr Kiernan had retired from Optix of La Quinta. And wasn't able to make an appointment that fit my schedule there. So we chose to come to a new eye doctor and get our glasses for the next year. What a surprise to walk in and see Jay and then met Julie who did some testing on my daughter and me. Then the doctor called me back and did my vision testing for new prescription glasses and he suggested that I get computer glasses as I spend many hours on duel screens. Came out of the office with the doctor telling Jay to pick out a a few frames that would look great on me and had the necessary amount of glass I would need for my new glasses. Jay has quite the knack with people and glasses, he's honest and lets you know what glass frame works best on your face. He then marked the glasses that I picked out, and stated that we should have them in about a week, and would even mail them to us as we were going on vacation to Washington state! That's customer service going above and beyond! Super happy with this office. read more

I am new to the area and was referred to Advanced Optometry by my child's tutor when my eyeglasses broke, leaving me blind as a bat with no backup. They were quick to get me in for an appointment and placed a rush on my order to ensure I got my new glasses as quickly as possible. I was extremely impressed with the service overall. My only critiques are that their frame selection is fairly limited and they cannot do children's eye exams until the child knows their alphabet, etc. I was still able to find a pair that I loved and will be using them in the future. read more

The best in the valley! I've been seeing Dr. Lebby for over 10 years. I was just 12 years old when I got my glasses here. He has seen 7 children of us including my parents too read more

I have been going to Advanced Optometry since 1992. Dr Lebby was a fantastic doctor. He is now enjoying a well deserved retirement. Even though Dr. Lebby is gone, the level customer satisfaction has not dropped at all. Its impossible to please everybody, I see by the reviews there is an unsatisfied customer. I can only tell you, they will get it right because the customer is their top priority. Dr. Bauhs is just as concerned about your eye health as Dr. Lebby was. So if you are in the market for new glasses or contacts, I suggest Advanced Optometry. See well my friends! read more

I hate getting eye exams but if you got to go then this is the place. Start your visit with Jules, Julie (Jewels)! She's the best part of the visit, sorry Doc. The new doctor is very nice. Dr.Baus is very professional and I really like working with Julie the Optician. I have to give this office 5 stars.

Our whole family (including 6 & 8 year old kids) have been seeing Dr. Baus for two years. Since my husband and I both have very strong prescriptions, we are naturally concerned with our kids' vision as well, and Dr. Baus is really good at putting them at ease and very patient with them. They actually like going to the eye doctor! We like that he's easy-going and friendly, and good at explaining treatment options and expectations. His staff is great too, and they've been really helpful and accommodating with us. We very much recommend Dr. Baus! read more
