Got some Ray-AI frames at Costco, but had to go here to convert the sunglasses into prescription glasses. Costco won't do that for those frames, so LensCrafters has to do it. While there my husband bought an additional frame, and lenses. Not cheap as you may know. That was last September. Recently one of the lenses in the LensCrafters frames started to fracture, visible cracks by the nosepiece. That's only about 8 months ago... we assumed (wrongly as it turned out) that the lenses ( made and installed in their own facility ) would have at least a one year warranty.... But no. We were told in no uncertain terms they would not make a new lens since we had not purchased an extra cost warranty when we bought them. And the woman was NOT friendly at all, or the least bit sympathetic to the failure of THEIR lens to last at least one year. Never again will we darken that store. It's a shame Luxottica owns so many brands. Meanwhile, we'll continue to shop Costco Optical. They stand behind what THEY sell... LensCrafters couldn't give a f**k read more

Best glasses ever. My girlfriend and i both buy our glasses here because of the tremendous selection of frames to choose from. No high pressure sales pitches. They are very patient with the customers and let them browse all there is to see with no pressure. Once you choose one or two pair they sit down with you and carefully go over all the options with putchasing, and discuss insurance options and financing options. A simple acknowledgment would have made a huge difference here. In fact, just staff giving a crap probably would be even better. I'm sure many people make the mistake of booking at the wrong stores all the time. Well, the male staff member who was at the desk, where the eye appointments are, all he needed to do was acknowledge that I was there, I would have found out I was at the wrong store. The staff at this store in the shopping center on Highway 111 are friendly, helpful and professional. I bought a pair of replacement glasses and April assisted me. She was knowledgeable about the inventory and offered good options for me to choose from. She was good at the sizing and measuring part of the process and she has a knack for making a difficult process easier. I went back on another occasion to get a pair of glasses tightened up around my ears because I was preparing to start a new job that required a tight-fitting pair of glasses. I was very pleasantly surprised when one of their certified opticians was able to get them nice and snug again. It made a huge difference in the way they felt on my face. Their "sales" are disingenuous meaning that discounts from retail are phony as rarely does one pay list prices for frames. It's the tale of two lens crafters just a few miles apart but a world apart when it comes to service! I highly recommend the one next to the French Corner cafe, an amazing restaurant by the way! The lens crafters in the mall where I ordered by glasses from after a few months of use, screw fell out. They did not have one so they required me to purchase one which was 2 weeks ago now! No phone call yet. I am wearing my old prescription which is not ideal. So, I decided to call the lens crafters at Desert Crossings! The lady said sure! Come on over, we can fix them! So I did, met Charity Nava who took them back filed down a screw to fit and handed them back to me! Took all of 5 minutes! I was blown away! The store looks like it's on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills! The selection is so much better than the mall store! Skip the mall and head to the desert crossings location! World class experience you won't regret!! I paid for the insurance and "scratch resistant" lenses for my 7 year old autistic daughter and ordered replacements after hers GOT SCRATCHED and it's been about a month and she still doesn't have replacements. No communication, getting hung up on, bad customer service, and all the run around. Working with these people feel like going to a bad mechanic or a shady car salesman. We needed a replacement pair of glasses and an eye exam for a trip. LensCrafters was not our first choice but due to circumstances went there anyway. Our experience with Alexis and Dr. Nguyen was better than expected. Not sure why so many negative reviews. Alexis is very detail oriented and provided excellent customer service and advice on frame selection. Got in and out with a new pair of glasses in under two hours. The deduction of one star due to the fact they didn't have in stock the more affordable lenses so spent more on new specs than anticipated. Didn't seem scammy just a matter of circumstance. My new lenses were making me dizzy, so I took advantage of the 30-day guarantee and stopped in the store on December 26, 2023 to get them changed. Then, during the next month, I stopped in the store multiple times, after being told the replacement lenses were ready. On each occasion, the staff would rummage around in the drawers behind the counter, then they would go in the back and rummage around there, then they would come back out to the counter and stare at the computer screen. They always had trouble locating my lenses and/or my frames. So, a month later, I still don't have my replacement glasses. I have never experienced such a disorganized workplace. There glasses selection is small and lacked many options. And worst of all they had us sitting for 50min waiting. We asked what was taking so long and they blamed our insurance taking a long time. We made an eye appt for 10:40am. It's been almost an hour and receptionist says, "It's usually an hour or more wait." Never again.

This is the latest in their quest for customer service. Upon trying to pick up an order that was already paid for, this happened. Their website claimed "Open until 6PM", but at 5:02 PM, they were walking out the door and wouldn't help their customer. They said, "We've closed and the alarm is on". Big rip off. I have insurance that offers lenses with a $20 co-pay. The gal helping me (don't recall her name, young, heavy make-up, long hair and overweight) flat-out lied to my face. I asked if I can just get the lenses for $20 co-pay she said no, we don't have them. Come on honey, my mother worked as an optician, I know the drill. The Coach sunglasses I wanted to buy I left behind and did not purchase. Instead went home, ordered the EXACT SAME PAIR on-line (lenscrafters.com) with the $20 co-pay lenses - paid $67 total with my insurance. The gal that tried to rip me off tried to get me to think she was giving me a deal for the same Coach sunglasses over $160 with my insurace. People, don't waste your time going to this place - they LIE TO YOUR FACE and try to upsell just to get a better commission. The gal even told me that one insurance company covers all lenses so she sells them the most expensive, Verilux or something like that. I will go back ONLY to have this gal adjust my new sunglasses when they arrive. The eye doctor is awesome, beware of the money hungry sales people. read more
