Earlier May 28,2026 around 3::10pm , one of their staff in the FRONT DESK , i think need to attend SEMINAR, Because she charged me $39.00 for eye picture ,supposed to be nothing to. Be Charged me and she insist that i need to charged $39.00 and i asked her is that necessesary she said YES, the doctor need to that. . and i said ,hold on i need to call the IEHP Office and she said if you call the IEHP im Gonna cancel your appointment ,because there's other patient coming blah,blah,blah, I said ok. Just set me an appoint.ent next time I said. And then she said again ok if you wanna call IEHP Office its OK you can call ill wait you she said ,but she never told me that only 10 minutes to gave me to talk my office . So,lets continue what's the story happened so i called the IEHP I was outside of their infront door talking to the IEHP on the line ,when i was done talking on the phone i went inside of the CV optometry ,I told her I just talked to the IEHP just now ,and I haven't done talking yet she suddenly told me ,I canceled your appointment , because I gave you 10 minutes only, ,and I said to her you never say 10 minutes only and she said I was checked you outside your not there , I said I'm outside of the door ,infront of the outside door ,why you said im not there. Ok i said it ok you cancelled it. But why you charged me $39.00 for eye picture and she tell a lies , she changed what she told me at first before I called the IEHP office . She's super lair. She insist that she never charged me $39.00. And she said its up to me to pay $39 for eye picture and she said yes ,hello I never say yes to me $39.00 ,I said I need to call the IEHP to asked about the charged, because I knew already before I went their at CV Optometry I clarify the IEHP About what covered and I also asked the CV optometry in indio if there any. Charges the woman said NO, Why one of the staff in the FRONT DESK i dont know her ,i wish i knew her name ,she charged me $39.00 dollar , she knew my PLAN is IEHP. The optometrist seemed in a rush and didn't show my prescription results. Do not recommend

I had quite an experience with this office. I went in with my kiddos. The staff that took them in first were great, the doctor was amazing. She took her time with both. Explained to me in depth what they both needed. My oldest was recommended contacts and my youngest additional testing. So far, good. BUT THEN, we go to measuring, choosing the best pair of glasses and the customer service went out the window. The staff that was helping kept on pushing it to buy them an extra pair, expensive ones, add so many things. Which I told her multiple times I was only getting what my insurance covered for them. As a single parent I can't afford more than one pair and add on's, unfortunately. She was rude after that. Very dismissive and when I asked for a copy of their prescription to browse on contact prices. She snapped and said "Why would you order them online?", I replied, "Miss, when did I tell you I was." I was baffled. I went home called my insurance and thankfully my insurance confirmed it was covered but I went to another optometrist. read more

The manager called me to apologize for the lack of communication regarding the change in ownership of Desert EyeCare Center to CV Optometry. She also agreed to mail my glasses per my request at no additional cost to me due to the inconvenience caused by delays in service at the Palm Springs location which resulted due to the ownership change. I was also provided the additional 10% discount not provided by Desert EyeCare Center at the time I ordered my new lenses. Although this ended in a satisfactory resolution, I have no doubt this would not have happened if I had not posted the poor rating on YELP, as the manager requested that I update the review. I still can only recommend using this service provider at your own risk, since the manager informed me she only called me due to the poor YELP review I had posted. read more

My son and I were seen by Optometrist Tyler Horton he was incredibly friendly, very informative, and patient. He made sure my son was comfortable and included me every step of the way. I would definitely recommend his services. Now a days great customer service is difficult to find. He gave us various options for our glasses. My daughter was seen by Optometrist Marian Pishay, She was very sweet and helped us understand the change in her prescription. She also gave us multiple sources to help ensure her vision issue wouldn't worsen. Very friendly and professional. The office staff is super nice ! Our appt was very quick. I am not kidding. I dread having to attend Dr appts, especially when we have to set up multiple at once. Some places schedule you at one specific time, and hours later, you are still there. This was not the case here ! Quick, efficient, clean location, very nice and polite we weren't just another patient! They cared !!! We will be returning and recommending for sure ! read more

I would highly recommend CV Optometry, I've been dealing with a painful left eye since all through out August 2024 and Dr.Horton helped me out through my journey. I can say my left eye has gone back to normal. Dr.Horton knew what I needed to treat my problem, very positive, skilled, professional and helpful individual as for him if you need to get treatment for your eyes. Also not to mention Griselda from front desk she's been helpful and a very positive employee here, helped me book my appointments with a smile without any problems. Sadly I couldn't get any of the other employees names that worked in the back checking the pressure for the eyes shout out to you women very helpful with a smile and positive attitude and made sure I was feeling ok. I have been a patient here for a couple of years now and have always enjoyed my visits due to the efficiency with how everything is done. The staff and doctors are very delightful and are always very quick to help explain things you need help with. The appointments are really straight forward and run really smooth with everyone doing their part. Dr. Ann Le is amazing and always very kind when I see her. She is one of the main reasons I like to continue to come to CV Optometry. Every time I see her, she goes through everything going on with my vision and explains everything with great detail to help gain a better understanding of it. She is also really great in addressing any of my concerns that I have and helping me feel comfortable. I have been going to CV optometry for years. myself and my four children. we have had the pleasure of having Tyler Horton as our optometrist. He is very professional , explains everything to us in depth, and answers all of our questions we may have. The one thing I can say that i am most appreciative of , and the reason why i will not go elsewhere for optometry needs is that I have a child with autism and he is also non verbal , not only did Dr. Horton remember him but he always makes it super easy and fun for my son to feel comfortable to get his eye exam done without my son feeling overstimulated . I love bringing my whole family here . I've developed relationships with Griselda and Sara as well and they are just as amazing! Dr. Brasfield has a wonderful team that makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door. They have a very efficient operation and wait time is very minimal. I met with Dr. Lee again this past visit and she was wonderful- always listens to my concerns and answers my questions. Prior to coming to Coachella Valley Optometry about four years, buying eyewear was a necessary chore for me. I never had anyone help me choose glasses that were flattering on me or fashionable. However, after meeting with Crystal to try on eyewear she picked out for me it's been a wonderful new experience and I love my glasses! Kind of a chaotic experience -- the "Wal Mart" of optometry (minus the great deals) -- a little impersonal, zoo busy, and they seem more eager to sell than provide a quality experience. Calls repeatedly go unanswered, as there are apparently not enough phone staff. Their directions say, "text us for fastest response" but they don't respond to text messages either. I hate to think that I need to drive all the way over there (many miles) just to get an answer to a simple but important question :( read more

Super bad service since they've switched over. It took a while for the effects to get to me but it's finally happening. My last visit I was charged a few additional fees so I can get a "backup" pair ordered if mine break no questions asked I was told. About $150 two separate charges Now my glasses are about to break and I made an appointment waited and finally got in. Sat down with Sara and that's when it got difficult. She went back and forth on whether "my insurance paid for it" or to make another appointment for an eye exam and retina photos again? So I can repurchase a new pair. It's only been 8 months since I've last been here so it didn't make sense to me and refused and I requested just the frame that I paid for last time she said no I didn't pay for that. She said I paid for consultation and frames which added up to $150? I asked for a description of my charge and she said "I wasn't there" very sassy so I just asked for a printed out receipt and she said go outside they'll take it to me, it was about ten minutes until I went and asked for it so they gave me one for today with $0 on it when I asked for the last visits receipt. Finally, I got my last visits receipt and have the activity for 2 payments of $150 together with no notes or activity/description text in it? I was told it was a charge for frames by Sara but went back and said she wasn't sure. On my printed receipt I have a separate charge for frames of $171? Plus another one for $122 with no notes activity or what I was charged for? Make sure you're getting receipts with details or better to just stay away from here. read more

This is one of the most crowded and unprofessional eye exam offices I have been to. I called in and was told that walk ins were welcome. When I arrived the entire place was crowded and there were several children screaming and running through the store. I was told they did not have time for any walk ins and made an appointment for the next day. My actual eye exam went well and the doctor was professional. When it came time to actually pick out a pair of glasses I realized that every single pair was locked in on the shelves and you needed one of the employees to unlock each pair to try them on. This is the first optometrist office I've ever been to that has their glasses locked up. The store was completely overwhelming and there was no opportunity to just try on glasses in an enjoyable manner. I decided I did not want to buy glasses from this location as the experience was completely awful. The woman helping me refused to give me my prescription, until I insisted several times. This by the way is illegal. I will absolutely never come back here. If you want a pleasant experience picking out your new glasses DO NOT COME HERE. read more

Steer clear of I went in despite the comments, I had seen on yelp and google only to have my time wasted. I waited about 35 min for a quote on price only to be told by an other employee doing paper work it would be bout $50 more then stated at the start by her coworker right next to her. I was on a time jam and decided I would pay the even higher then normal price because I was guaranteed excellent quality. I pay and am told it will be 2 weeks or even sooner. I go home look at the receipt only to see my claim ticket has the wrong number. I give it a few days and call to even make sure they have my number correct . 11 days go by nothing !! 13 days go by I call and a person says it's because of my private insurance "the delay" hence I payed cash!!!! No vision coverage. Day 14 Call again they say they haven't even been fabricated . Day 15 I call in to see what's the hold up.. another employee tells me just to keep calling everyday. Finally fed up, I call again and say I want to cancel my order and I need my frames and money back. They say I already had a service ticket in and they weren't sure why I didn't get a call back. They say they will make another service ticket and note that I'm on the way to the location for my refund. I arrive to the location only to see another customer in tears because an employee broke her glasses! The lady next to the employee who had done that had no sympathy or customer service and blankly lifted up a laminated paper she had signed before and said she wasn't responsible for the glasses. The customer left in tears they did nothing to help her. As I waited in the waiting room I sadly thought don't tell me that's the manger who I'm waited to talk to ! Guess what it was ! Just like before she had no intention in helping me at all. She tried any way she could to keep my money. Even said they were already fabricated. Which I knew was total bs because I call everyday and nothing !!!! Then when she knew I wasn't leaving with out my money back she said I would get a refund but she wanted to take a fee!!excuse me but no I want all my money in cash because she even brought up wanting to pay me in a check. She didn't give me the owners number like I requested and I didn't even get my frames back now I gotta wait idk how many more days For them to get returned back. I literally argued for my money back for 30 min!!! The sad part was the same employee dropped another customers glasses on the floor in front of me and picked them up with out a care and threw them in the box ‍so disappointing to see she has no lack of care for her customers eyewear .Smh Maybe the manger should of checked the cameras like the customer who left in tears requested she do! WOW! just, wow! Let me start by saying Thank You to Susan, Linda, Joanne and Dr. Phan! I was blown away this time around by the attentiveness and attention to detail by Susan, Linda and Joanne. I was greet right away and little wait time and over was in an out in a matter of 30mins or so. Susan reached out to me right away, explained the situation and was very informative and answered my questions to further clarify. Linda was extremely easy to work with and was flexible working around my busy work schedule and managed to schedule me in at an appropriate time that was best suited to me. Joanne was awesome when it came to the training and explaining the "ins" and "outs" or applying in the contacts and was really knowledgeable. I greatly appreciate the turn around from the last encounter I had. On a side note, I wish I could have requested additional trial contacts. I currently ran out leading up to the follow up, but no worries my contacts have been ordered and in the meantime will have to resort to using my glasses. Took my prescription in for glasses. Two weeks later picked them up. That was June 15, 2018. My insurance covered reading glasses, but bought my distance glasses. My reading glasses were the thick and horrible quality that scratched so easily, but when I used my distance glasses, I can't even see out of them. I finally took them back on November 20, 2018 they looked at my reading glasses and said they were scratched and since I bought them last June, it was too long of a time to get a replacement , so of course had to buy new ones for $150.00. As far as my distance, they wouldn't do anything about them. I went down to pick up my new glasses and could not see to read, so I had to take them back again, only to find out they gave me the wrong prescription, and actually looked at me like it was my fault. They replaced with the right prescription, but they look bent and very poor quality. Tired of having to fight to just get what I paid for. They did replace my glasses, but I had the same problem. These glasses were actually bowed when I looked at of the side. I have now gone to my regular eye Dr and wow what a difference. I finally have a great pair of glasses that don't make me dizzy. I also bought distance glasses from this company that I never have used. Can't see out of them when I'm driving. That was another $100 plus waste of money, which they should have given my money back. read more
