I went to CV Optometry in Cathedral City. My insurance is with Kaiser Permanente. I called to make an appointment with Kaiser and I couldn't get an appointment for several weeks. I was told that CV Optometry will take my insurance. I called and I was able to get an appointment the following week. Service was outstanding. Updating on my previous review. I was contacted within the end of the day by the office manager, Jordan, who explained why my call wasn't answered and made it really easy for me to make my appointment. I was really pleased that she made it possible for me to get the soonest appointment at the Indio location. I was attended very well by the greeter and made it a really easy breeze to get through all the testing. Dr. Brown was my optometrist and she explained everything very well to me. My father has glaucoma and I let her know during my appointment. She explained what the condition is and made it very easy for me to understand. I was very impressed with her knowledge which is crazy to say but I have been going to optometrist since I was 8 ( in Los Angeles) and no one ever explains conditions, testing, and process like they did during my visit. I looked up Dr. Brown after my appointment and she is truly a professional and proudly serving the Coachella Valley! I would definitely recommend this place . Looking forward to taking my toddler soon. Oh & they have payment plans and care credit which makes it easy to take care of your fees if you don't have insurance. Go go go! read more

They upsell everything, trying to make you buy things you don't need. For contacts exam it was $100 but when I schedule the appt it increase to $280 because "they haven't seen me since 2018." And they had to do a trial. When at Costco it's $110 for the exam but the doctor was nice enough to gave me a discount since I just had my regular eye exam. BS PLACE. read more

Worst receptionist ever, Veronica and Jordan the manager, I've never felt like we can't make our own decisions, they basically choose for you and when you don't agree they disregard your needs and time, asked to speak to someone above Jordan, when I spoke to her she disregarded everything, it's discouraging not to have a voice as a patient. Terrible service!! The office had sooo many changes. Front ladies (receptionist) are nice. I give them 5 stars. I went with my mom who doesn't speak English. The assistant who dilated my moms eyes was very nice. She explained the new procedures and took pictures. Beyond that, the service was terrible!! The Doctor who saw my mom, Justin, was communicating in Spanish (broken) which i appreciate but when he started testing on the letters, he was sooo impatient. For older adults it takes time to process what they are being asked. Justin wouldnt give my mom the opportunity to process which glass view was better when he would ask" 1 or 2" " 3 or 4" he kinda just winged it with only 5secs of thinking time for both options. I was upset! He was rude when he had to ask to follow the pen or where to look. For a first time visit ever to the optometrist, this visit was horrific! Now let me get to Gloria. The billing lady (maybe) in charge of helping you pick glasses and last person to see before you are done. I knew my moms insurance doesnt cover glasses. Gloria is talking to me about picking Glasses and measuring her eye distance, i told her: i thought her insurance doesnt cover glasses.. she said: it does not. It would be great if Gloria informs of out of pocket expenses before she cunningly tried selling us glasses. No wonder, as i entered the office, an older man was loud and expressive while he was with Gloria and upset at the final quote. She was deceiving. Then she takes what sounded like a private phone call from her personal phone while she was talking to me and starts getting aggressive at that person. I had to get up from my chair and walk away from her. I left the office. I definitely miss Anna who worked there and Dr. Brasfield from the front of this picture. Currently: awful service! read more

I've been going here for years now, very good service I'm always pleased. I lost my glasses yesterday and called in and managed to get an appointment by today to get checked out and to get some new glasses. They're so fast an efficient I wasn't even done filling in the paperwork before they had me go see the doctor and get everything settled The doctor was very nice, very straightforward and to the point. When I asked him how big/small the change was between my last visit and today he said I had been seen in 2013, however the last time I had been seen was in 2016. The lady that sits in the back desk ( I couldn't get her name I couldn't see) looked up my name and got everything sorted out for me, proving that my last visit was in 2016 (they had two different files under my name??) I got there maybe ten minutes earlier than my appointment and left within 20 minutes of being there! read more

If I could give CV Optometry more than 5 stars, I would! My experience was phenomenal! The front office staff guided me thru the appointment set up, and were so kind in working with my busy schedule to set up an appointment! They provided friendly reminders via text, which is helpful! The service was impeccable during my visit! Dr. B is truly an expert in Optometry! Dr. B and her staff provided a throughout and comprehensive exam, and Dr. B spent time explaining and going over the results during the visit. She was kind, patient and answered all of my questions. From there l, I worked with the excellent office staff to find the perfect pair of glasses within my budget! And to my surprise they came in sooner than expected! CV Optometry is the best! Their staff is so kind and efficient. They moved my children and I through the various stations so quickly and every person was so kind and clearly very good at what they were doing. Then, Dr Brasfield took her time explaining all of our results. I even learned that my insurance allows me to get a discount on sunglasses! My glasses were then fitted to my face (something I never knew was supposed to happen) and they are so comfortable. It makes a huge difference!! read more

I give them 2 stars because some the employees there are extremely rude. There's only like two of the optometrist there that have been very nice and very outgoing with their patients but as far as the people at the front desk, they have very horrible attitudes. They also never answer the phone for me I have called about maybe at least 20 times in one day trying to get a hold of them and I even left two voicemails and I still hadn't heard anything back until I went in person and once I went in person that's when they returned my call. Hi had been given some wrong information as well and had to be clarified through my insurance and had me go back-and-forth with my insurance and I'm trying to figure out what was actually happening.When I first saw her going there it was honestly amazing everybody was friendly cheery outgoing but now it has Drastically changed and it's just horrible. read more

If you are looking for a eye doctor ‍ look no further ! Dr. B took such wonderful care of me and took the time to explain and inform me on the care of my eyes. Being a long time eye contact lenses wearing (27 years), she fitted me with new lenses that didn't make my eyes feel dry and literally helped me see things brighter and clearer. Furthermore, her staff were friendly, knowledgeable, engaging and truly loved working at her office. Old lady with the shirt curly hair will try to rip you off. I took my mom to get an eye exam and glasses, but she doesn't have health insurance so I was going to have to pay out of pocket. For that reason I asked this lady for the most economical packet. She gave me an amount and told me that was the least I'd have to pay. After she charged me I found a paper on her desk with the different packages, and to my surprise, she had up sold me. She didn't care that we'd be paying over $300 out of pocket, she just wanted to get her commission. When I asked her why? She tried giving me some dumb excuse and pretty much walked us out of the optometry office so we wouldn't keep asking questions. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. read more

After my review in yelp I was contact by the office manager to fix the issue. Cynthia and Dr. Nguyen took good care of me and make sure I feel comfortable after having a bad experience in the past. Their call center is the worst I have ever experienced. They are so incompetent and all seem to be new. They were unable to answer my questions as a first time contact lens user and wanting more info on how much I should expect to pay out of pocket. I called 2 times hours a part and different representative and got no answer to my question. So I stepped into the coachella office where they finally answered my question right away. But I'm rating it a 3 because even the receptionist didnt know much so I'm guessing shes new too. And they lost my frames when they were sent out for repair in march. I've never had a horrible customer service here until yesterday when I went in to pick up mine and my sons glasses . When we got there they were out to lunch so the doors were locked and there was a sign on the door of the hours that I was reading and realized that they were in lunch break but the door opens and a lady came out and said they were on lunch. They lady left that came out but the other lady that worked there just shut the door on my self and my kids, saying yeah we are at lunch. I understand that they were on break but it was rude the way she handled that. So we came back in an hour cause that was the lunch break 12:45 to 1:45 on my watch it was 1:44 when we got there . There was already another lady standing there Waiting as well for them to open. A man got there he knocked and they let him in but not us because they weren't ready to open yet . At this point it was a few mins past 1:45 on my watch. I asked the lady what about us? She said it's not time yet they had a few mins still. Then the other lady that was already Waiting there for them to open said oh here comes the girls from the restaurant around the corner walking very slow, so at that point I was like ok they are going to open now, but that wasn't the case they went in and locked the doors again . I was then frustrated because I had my children's parent Conferences to go to @ 2:15 and didn't want to be late . And I know sometimes it can take a while to get done there cause they r always busy . I've always like going there but now l feel like I won't anymore, who knows will see when I go back to pick up my 6 year olds glasses in a few weeks . Mayb they can send them to a training on customer service. read more
