Had the pleasure of hosting a party at Olive Me Studio during one of their first weekends opened! It was such a fun, crafting experience for our group of 15 people, ages ranging from a 5-year-old to an 80-year-old.
How it works:
1) Choose an item to decorate with charms! Options include: purse, phone case, mini suitcase holder, pencil case, fan etc.
2) Depending on the size of the item (ranging from $15-60), select the whipped cream (in various colors) that is used to glue/stick the charms onto your item.
3) Proceed to marvel at all of the cute charms available! This is the part that takes the longest! There are hundreds of charms - ranging from letters if you want to spell your name to Hello Kitty, flowers, and animals.
Other tools like scissors, glue and tweezers are provided, but the cream really holds up well! It depends on the person, but I would say the entire experience takes about one hour.
I love the warm and colorful design of the space -- and that there is seating both for kids (shorter tables) and adults.
The owner Becky is very welcoming and helps to answer all questions! She even shared with us the photo studio in the back of the space that will be launching soon! Customers can take professional studio photos on their own using high-quality cameras and backdrops!
While we were there, many people were popping in to ask about the crafting store and how it works! It's such a fun concept that is popular in Korea/Japan -- and so cool to see it here in Colorado! read more
