I definitely recommend not going on a holiday because it's much more fun when it's not busy, but either way the staff are all sweet and very helpful with helping your vision come to life or using new tools. uh ya so it's Valentine's Day and me and my girlfriend plan to go here and we checked in at about one. They said that we should come back later and let them know 15 minutes in advanced so that they will be ready for us. When I called to tell them that we were 15 minutes away, they proceeded to say that we were not on the waitlist and the weight was actually longer. I was told that it would be an hour until we could go and I waited until then I called again and they told me that it'll be 30 minutes, and now an hour and a half later there's been no response and it's 40 minutes before closing. Please consider staffing more employees on the weekend. There is no reason there should be only 1 worker behind the counter on a Sunday afternoon while a line of 15 people wait to check out with their crafts, get on a waitlist for a table, or are there to quickly pick up their creations. The second worker I saw was tending to a birthday party table, but it feels like she could've helped the girl at the counter speed the line along for a few minutes and then return to the party. Regardless, this is a fun place to paint pottery, but bring your patience and expect to wait way longer than you expect. read more

I signed my mother, granddaughter and myself up for a painting class on canvas! The owner/instructor was so so patient and kind!! My mother has parkinsons and dementia and my granddaughter was 7 (who did better than both of us lol) however the instructor took her time and made our experience a great one!! This place was such a wonderful experience! The concept is pretty predictable. A ceramics painting place that allows families to come in, select a ceramic, and paint away. You then leave it for them to kiln and pick up your piece in a week or so. What really earned this establishment 5-stars was their exceptional customer service. You may notice that is a frequent statement on their reviews, and it's 100% true! Their staff was so friendly, helpful, and quick to assist. I was their with my daughter and on more than one occasion we had a staff member approach us and ask how my daughter was doing, giving advice/tips, and giving positive/upbeat feedback and compliments. I really cannot emphasize enough important those seemingly little 'good job's mean to a little kid trying something new. We had a blast and ended with a pretty neat - and of course colorful - fox! 5-stars well earned by a 5-star staff. DEFINITELY going to try it out again. read more

Art on fire was the perfect thing for us to do during a lazy day this week. We walked in and we're immediately greeted by George, the most helpful painting dude ever. He instructed us what types of paints to use and how many coats we needed and was always available when we had questions. We started trying to figure out what we wanted to paint. This took forever since we're indecisive and they have a lot of great options. We painted for about two hours and it was so relaxing and just a great environment all around. As we left, George told us that our pieces would be ready in just a week! He also informed us that Art on Fire, unlike many other pottery painting places, does not have a studio fee. Therefore if you wanted to come back and keep painting, there would be no extra charge! Awesome. Very glad I got to go to Art on Fire while visiting Denver. We will be back! read more

Arts On Fire is a great name for them. They are hot hot hot! I've been to a handful of places like this and nothing compares to the unique options on projects and design tools. They have really interesting glazes here. Ask about the special paints with chunks that explode during the firing process to create spectacular patterns. I mixed two of them. They also offer the speckle glaze that most places have as well as the standard paint colors. The friendly staff will help make thicker paint to use with the silkscreens. Add the glass fusing and canvas painting options and it's a really well-rounded creative gathering place. I'm a fan! My only wish is that they served wine :) read more

Fun place to do some arts and crafts. I chose to paint a dish in the shape of a cupcake. You choose what you want to paint and pay for that piece only. Reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and helpful. After you paint, they fire and glaze your piece and you can pick up your finished piece in a week. They have classes/workshops that sound great! I will definitely try one out. They don't sell alcoholic drinks like some other crafts places do, which I don't mind. However I overheard that you can bring your own bottle of wine as long as you open, pour, and cork it yourselves. Neat! (I would of course call and make sure before taking my word for it). read more

Oh how fun!! I have always wanted to try my hand at painting a dish of some sort and got the opportunity to last night with local radio station 105.9. We got to have fun with apps and alcohol which made the whole group more excited to try something new. They have a wonderful selection of things to paint including wine glasses, pencil holders, cookie jars Etc as well as figurines of every sort. They also have examples and ideas for how to do some of them of you are out of them The staff are very helpful in explains to newbies like me what to do and how to do it. Nice place with a set fee and no "add-ons" so you know what you're paying. Still spendy. The staff didn't offer smocks - we had to ask, even for my 7 year old. The girl working ran through the instructions super fast and I had to re-explain and clarify some things. Clean and lots of options although sold out of many items. read more

My kids love Arts on Fire. It's a great way for them just to be creative. When you walk in the staff can help you with the process. They have hundreds of plain pottery items from trinkets to coffee mugs, vases, dishes etc. Prices range from $15-$40 on the average. Price includes the paint and the burn. Once you pick out your item, you can start painting. They have a wall of colors to view so you can see what they'll look like after the kiln. They have dozens of colors to choose from. After 3 light coats and writing your name on the piece, pay for your item and it's usually ready in a week. This place is great for birthday parties too. read more

A friend and I hosted some of our clients at Arts On Fire for a marketing event. We had a blast! I really like that everyone got to pick an item they wanted to create instead of being forced to do all the same thing. George was a huge help and was readily available without being overbearing. We spent a little over 2 hours creating some beautiful pieces. I can't wait to pick them up in a week and see the finished product. I like this place better than the one at south lands mall because it's not as busy and the people who work there are nice and laid back. The first time we went, the plate I painted cracked during the firing process so they gave me a gift certificate I could use the next time. The customer service is great and they are good with kids. Arts on Fire is hit or miss. The owners changed maybe in 2012-ish. The previous owners were amazing. The new owners are a husband and wife. She's temperamental. One day she's ok and the next time she'll bite your head off. I'm not sure what her deal is, but the husband is always pleasant so it balances out I guess.
