I sent my babysitter with my child to go to Color Me Mine. For a fun day out and they absolutely loved it.

We came at 7:30 and Mora and Kate told us they closed at 9... we did know this, however, they told us at 8:30 that we only had 15 minutes left to paint because they "need to be out by 9:00" which was not told to us at the beginning. They started closing the bathroom at 8:30 and told us we were not allowed to use it after it was clean and had to go somewhere else. Very rude and not looking into coming back again. read more

Had a great experience at Color Me Mine thanks to Tilly. I was greeted immediately when I walked in the door. Tilly was friendly and made me feel at ease by asking if I had been in or painted before. She gave me plenty of time to make my selection as there was a lot to choose from. Once I made my choice, Tilly helped me get settled in. I was really impressed with her attentive service. She sponge washed the clay piece for me, making sure it was free of dust before applying paint. Considering it was the holiday season, I was surprised at how quickly I got my item back. Have been here several times thru the last few years but had a negative experience a few months ago. Decided to go back again after the fact because my kids love it and yet again had a negative experience. Unfortunately it's the only place really around like it and I love my kids so I probably will be back again for yet another negative experience. Just don't expect to get great customer service and you will pay quite a bit for the piece of fired ceramic, and the sitting fee for the studio. Also if you tell the manager or comment any where about it (Yelp google etc) then they try to not only get your comment removed but the manager does nothing to make you feel appreciated as a customer. A fun little business! My sister wanted to have her bachelorette party here and we had a great time! (All of us were between the ages of 18-25). There are lots of painting items to choose from, but they are all different prices. Pretty much the smaller, less intricate the item, the cheaper it will be. I chose a cute little tea pot and I had so much fun painting it. It's definitely a way to bring out your creative and spontaneous side! There were lots of colors and tools to use for designing your piece. The only thing I would say is to give yourself enough time to paint if you know you're a perfectionist or have a big item. I was there for 2 hours and the employee told us that we only had 20 minutes left before they closed. (Yes, I know 2 hours and I was still rushing it at the end). If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. The manager/owner is a jackass and an immature little boy. I ordered a piece for my dogs cremation ashes and have been waiting months to get the container and they told me it was ordered. I came to pick it up today, they ordered the WRONG piece. The girls at the front were very apologetic and nice but I was very disappointed I didn't get a call for a correction before coming down. We called the manager to tell him what happened and he hung up on my mother like the immature little boy he is. If you are looking for something special, absolutely do NOT come here. The manager/owner does not deserve your money. Very disappointing -- especially for something so special I was looking forward too. Hope he goes bankrupt for his insensitivity!! read more

I have been painting here with my little one for awhile. I chose a plate and as I was painting found a small hairline crack underneath. I asked the staff if it would be okay, and she said yes. When I specified that if it broke, I would get a refund, she said yes. First, nobody called me to let me know that our items were ready for pick up. After two weeks, I finally to ask if they were done. When I went in, I unwrapped my plate and it was cracked. It's been two weeks, I've been unable to get a response from the owner via emails and voicemails at the store location. read more

Brought my granddaughters in for an afternoon activity. When we got there, only one table was available for us. Most of the tables weren't cleaned and the one employee in the store was sitting behind the counter painting. There is a $8 service charge per person plus the cost of the pottery item ($18-$50). The paint brushes were in really poor shape and it was difficult to do any detail work. Many paint colors were either empty or had very little in the bottles. When we finished, we were told to leave our pottery on the table and the fired pieces would be ready in 7-10 days. The total price was $137 and we were asked to add a 20% tip!!! I picked up the 3 pieces about a week later, but once delivered to my granddaughter's home, they discovered the employee had put the wrong pottery in our bag! When I called the store, they did have our puppy. I told them it would be a week or two until I could return to swap out the pieces. No apology from them. I started receiving curt text messages telling me I needed to return the pottery that was put into our bag. I reminded them it was THEIR mistake and it was a 45-50 minute drive for me EACH way to return their error. When I made the drive to swap the pieces, there was no thought to offer a complimentary service charge or discount for my trouble. I'm not sure how this place is still in business. my boyfriend and i went here on a date. some of the staff was very unfriendly. the pottery was so expensive and there was not a lot to pick from. you had to pay a service fee of $8 per person. they had two problem colors and were out of a lot of the colors we wanted. wasn't a lot of options and the ones we liked were around $50 a piece. i would not recommend especially if you don't have a ton of money. read more

Had a great time here with my son and his best friend last weekend. He painted a train bank and just loved it. It's not a very big space, so it can fill up pretty quickly on the weekends. They've got a ton of variety of things to paint, and a lot of colors, stamps, etc. for the painting. The employees were super friendly and understanding of the 3 year olds running around and being indecisive. Only problem I have is the price. I didn't find anything for under $15, and then there's a charge per painter too. So be prepared to spend some money if you want a big item or have a few people painting. Cost aside, the finished items look great, and I imagine we'll be back soon. read more

We came here for a surprise date with our puppies! They are puppy friendly~ We were just asked to call about 20 min before. There was a birthday party going on at the same time, so they just wanted to make sure no one had crazy dog allergies when we brought our puppies in. Thankfully, we were given the go ahead! We paid a flat fee of ~~$8 (or 9?) per person and then the cost of the item. We made a plaque with our puppies pawprints on it. The workers were super helpful and kind and loved our dogs. Since we only did one piece, we only had to pay the flat fee for one person, which was really nice! The items take 7 days to finish, and you pick up after a week and I was told they hold them for up to 30 days. One nice thing would be to get a reminder of some sort, because I totally forgot for a few days. read more

My sister and I came here last week to paint. We were immediately treated as second rate citizens, possibly because our parents weren't with us. They were understaffed, and the staff acted rude and condescending to the both of us. I guess our money is not the same color as everyone else. When we came back to pick up our pieces, they were still very nasty to us. The pieces turned out with smudges from the employees' hands, which ruined them, and we've been to many pottery places, and this one is over priced in its pieces, and charging a studio fee that is crazy high is insane. We noticed that it is for sale. I hope the new owner fixes these problems or the business is going to go downhill fast. read more

Came here for the first time with a friend and thought I enjoyed my time, I was also disappointed with the experience. The concept itself is great. I didn't think that it was too expensive.. and it was nice to be able to create something on your own. However, the customer service left a lot to be desired. There were three people working when we got there on a Sunday at around 2pm. The two girls did not look at all excited to be there. They weren't friendly - just very matter of fact. It almost felt like they were annoyed that it was our first time there and we needed instruction. It seems like it would be. A great place to work but their faces didn't show that. We also spent a lot of time waiting to get our paint refilled because you're not allowed to do it yourself. So overall - great idea, bad service. read more

We went here for a Mother's Day outing. We had walked past it and decided to check it out and I'm so glad we did! The whole family had a great time, including our 5 year old and the adult. You pick your own pottery and I felt like the shop had a great selection, from the classic bowls and mugs to picture frames and statues. This place is way over priced. I celebrated my daughters birthday with her 13 girlfriends and it was over $400 for a 2 hour party. That's just ridiculous And I was told when I booked the party the girls could pick items to paint that were $10. Once we arrived and begin picking the painting items they were all $14-$17 EACH There was also a automatic 20% gratuity added It just seemed overly expensive for a little painting party. I also found the girls got bored after painting their figures. And they don't supply anything for the party. The customer must bring in everything for the party. My family and I enjoyed the painting experience, great ceramic selection and extensive paint color selection. Most of the staff members are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and laid-back. The manager is not. I've interacted with her on three occasions now and I try to be very brief as she is stressed, condescending, interrupts and is needlessly defensive after questions like, "Is my ceramic ready to be picked up?" I didn't mind that my bowl wasn't ready on time -- I did mind that in every interaction, she let me know that she was intensely busy. Every person in my family felt our presence was a hassle to her. We came in to the store full of smiles and excitement and left much subdued. I want to go again because of the other two staff members (both awesome) and the painting itself was a lot of fun, but I haven't yet decided if I will. read more

I was surprised that they had a Studio Fee of $8/per painter on top of very expensive greenware. I expected the price of the greenware to cover the cost of the glaze/firing because it was abnormally high.
