One of the best help food alternatives I've seen any airport. They have a massive cinnamon rolls drowning in several different types of sugar creamed toppings. There are many healthy drinks fresh healthy sandwiches and a great selection of grapes. I like most about it is the protein smoothie. Reasonable priced a good size and very tasty. This is perfect for meal on the run in between flights! I will remember this my next time through this airport. I had an hour long layover in Phoenix and was looking for an early lunch. There weren't many restaurants with vegetarian options around but I decided to try O+I. I was initially hesitant about getting an airport salad but I was happily surprised with the Mediterranean! The veggies were fresh and the toasted almonds added a great crunch. I asked her if they could do a sandwich without any bread since I have an allergy. She said, "we don't do that" and walked away. We have utilized this restaurant for several years in a row for an annual meeting that we host in the area (at least 3 of the past 4 years). This year, the service was sub-par and the food only "okay". We had a private room with 16 people and only one server assigned to the room. He was slow to take drink orders (waiting in the room 5-10 minutes with no service, whatsoever). The waiter brought the appetizers out and placed them on the table without any explanation as to what the dishes were (they were pre-selected so I was left trying to remember what I selected 6 weeks prior). The entrees were well prepared but came out very slowly. Desserts were different then in years past and, in my opinion, missed the mark (I will say the peanut butter dessert was NOT good and I love peanut butter). The service was really the worst part - they knew we were coming for at least a month or more. This should have been ample time to ensure they had adequate staffing to properly provide service. I was super impressed by Olive and Ivy considering it was in the Phoenix airport. After a terrifying flight from Los Angeles, a diverted landing to Tucson because of a dust storm, and a missed flight because of the diversion, Olive and Ivy made for a great breakfast after spending the night in the airport. Nice atmosphere and a good place to pass the time while waiting for a flight. Unfortunately, the breakfast isn't very good. I ordered the traditional breakfast with scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and English muffin. Portions were generous. I watched the woman who took my order put it together, and items were premade and were lukewarm. The bacon was a huge pile of extremely soggy and sad precooked bacon from a pot. Eggs were old and hard. I had asked for cheese with the eggs, and even though it's on the menu the women didn't understand me and offered me a tub a cream cheese instead. The English muffin was from a pile under the toaster and wasn't toasted. The potatoes were the frozen seasoned kind and were probably the best thing on the plate. Since most of this ended up being inedible I went back for a cinnamon roll that was dry and burnt on the bottom. I would recommend eating elsewhere for breakfast. read more

This is a 'fresh food' option for an airport. I especially appreciated their offering of oatmeal-I don't do eggs very often, so airport breakfast can be difficult if it's not a bagel. I went to Olive and Ivy today on the 17th of November, very disappointing. I asked for a table near the window so my wife and I could look at the art. We were given a table on the interior part of the restaurant while we observed couples who had been seated at other tables and complained were moved to these tables near the windows. It's a shame you have to complain to get a table you want. Now on food service. Apparently you're supposed to get bread before your meal. We had to ask for ours and then it was brought when we received our meals. Then our meals weren't even warm they were tepid. I stopped here for a quick breakfast on my way home, while I was at the Phoenix International Airport. It was a good choice. The breakfast sandwich I had was hot, fresh and quick to go. The cinnamon bun I indulged in was a good-bad life decision (good because it was tasty and fresh, bad because, well, it's a big ol' cinnamon bun that I really didn't need, but impulse bought). tl;dr: terrible bagels, terrible service, go elsewhere. If I could give this zero stars I would because it is a sad excuse for a restaurant. They were out of cream cheese at 8AM, but they had butter and jelly which you had to put on your own bagel. That would have been fine had they not charged me for the cream cheese anyway (even though I questioned it). The cashier was super curt with us despite there being nobody else in the line. They "toasted" my bagel in a panini press, which squished it down flat and made it taste like sliced bread. I also ordered coffee, which was below average. The worst part was probably that the lid to the cup was super flimsy (clear plastic that bent every time the cup changed shape, so that when I went to pick up the cup, coffee spilled all over my hands (and I couldn't put the lid on tighter or readjust it).
