Oli's is very chill. Sort of like a halfway between fast casual and a greasy spoon. The spam musubi is delicious, and the loco moco is solid--very tasty with white rice. Parking is on the side and is free for the first hour, the gate opens automatically. Also they have good coffee. Overall a decent place with good service.
VERY REASONABLE PRICES FOR DECENT FOOD. I think that this place is good for the students at UH because they provide good value. I was once a student at UH and as we all know students don't have much money so I would always try to find places that I could afford to eat at. That being said I tried several items like the hamburger steak, salt and pepper fried chicken and the kalbi. My favorite was the fried chicken. The hamburger steak is rated number one by yelp but I think Asahi Grill is better ... but Asahi Grill charges about $20 as opposed to $10 at Oli's. The kalbi was flavorful but it was pretty tough. The fried chicken was a little dry but the skin was nice and crispy. The fried rice was ok but not outstanding. All in all I think the food would rate three stars but I added an extra star for the low prices.
Had a medical procedure and couldn't since all loops, so Ma picked up food for me for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast burrito - I'm not usually a fan of potato in my burritos, but it was pretty good! Tasty burrito. I could only eat half and was still super full. The cilantro sauce was super garlicky which I looooove, but needed some salt and a kick. Furikake salmon - Fed half to baby...she grinded. It was tasty. Had a sauce btu I didn't use it since didn't need it. Rice was cooked to my liking (not school lunch mush) but I fed to hubs and baby for dinner. Got tossed and that was the best part...fresh and pretty. Love me a good salad. And the kicker...Ma said the guy was super nice and helpful. So we'll be back...
Great food and great service! Would definetly recommend this as a place for breakfast or lunch. Will be eating here again!
Aw .... I hate to lower my score but the workers were down right obnoxious on my last visit and my food was cold. They were sitting at the tables closest to the wall and speaking about a bday party they all attended for "Chris" I believe. It was so loud between them and the music I couldn't wait to be done. My food was cold but I figure if I complain they will remake it and I'll be stuck here longer listening to this girl talk. I'm hoping this is a one off because I like Oli's and I think it's a cool Vibe. The workers on this particular day though made it uncomfortable.

The staff was nice, welcoming, and very helpful with the questions we had. I ordered a breakfast burrito with Portuguese Sausage and a spam Musubi. The burrito can with a green cilantro sauce that is TO DIE FOR. Omg, I can't tell you how much I loved that sauce and could seriously drink a cup of it alone. I had such a wonderful experience and can't wait to go back!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Oli's Kitchen, and I can't recommend this place enough! From the moment I walked in, they welcomed me with warm aloha and genuine friendliness that made me feel right at home. They checked back on us to make sure everything was delicious...IT WAS! The great staff made the tasty food and the entire experience even more enjoyable. Now, onto the food - where do I even begin? For an appetizer, I ordered the Philly Cheese Egg Rolls. Wow! Crispy, golden, and stuffed with Philly cheese steak that had just the right amount of crunch and seasoning. The spicy cilantro dipping sauce sent these over the top! The Peanut Butter Stuffed French toast was absolutely divine. Perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy banana cream on the inside and drizzled with a rich, gooey, and indulgent maple peanut butter that took my taste buds on a journey. It was comfort food at its finest! I also tried their garlic chicken, which was cooked to perfection - tender and juicy inside and crispy on the outside. Each bite of chicken was bursting with garlicky flavor. Perfect pairing for the creamy Mac salad. The fried rice (upgrade) was excellent and complimented all of the flavors. If you're looking for a place with delicious food and outstanding service, Oli's Kitchen should be at the top of your list. Can't wait to come back and try more of their mouthwatering menu! SOLID! If they could "dress" up the food a little more, this would be at the top of the heap easily. The house burger looked a little small and honestly it didn't look too good without any lettuce or tomato or anything. The fries tasted pretty good, I enjoyed them and they gave a good amount. But after asking my son to try half the burger, he said it was good. I had my doubts but, yes, it was good! The sauce is tasty and the even though I think the burger looks small, it definitely tasted way better than it looked. It was one tasty burger. For myself I wish it was a "deluxe" burger, but it was good. The salt N pepper fried chicken was really good! These were perfectly crispy chicken pieces - perfectly seasoned. It was slightly aggressive in seasoning but so tasty and the Mac salad was good! They gave a LOT of chicken - for me, I just ate half of it - saving it for later. Again, they could have spruced up the plate - maybe adding a little green or something, but taste-wise this is a winning plate! This is one of the best chicken plates around I think. This is a great place and I will be back for sure!!!!
I have been ordering from Oli's Kitchen for a few months now for work meetings and food/service both have been amazing! Oliver is so friendly and understands customer service. He goes above and beyond and is so accommodating especially with providing deliveries for my orders. I highly recommend for catering as well as the 2 egg breakfast bentos with fried rice as well as the French toast with coconut syrup and blueberries
The food here does not disappoint!!!! There is such a wide variety of food options, you can always find something that you're looking for on the menu. We usually for both sweet and savory options. All the workers here are so friendly, and are always willing to make a recommendation if you don't know what you're in the mood for. There are even some healthy food options on the menu. The staff is also always willing to substitute ingredients (it's onions for me) if you want. So happy to have a good breakfast/lunch options in the University area! Breakfast burrito is my favorite!!! The sauce is to-die-for!

Oli's Kitchen is located in the old University Curry House location next to Nijiya Market. You park in the private lot shared with all the tenants in Pucks Alley. The first hour of parking is free. I figured it was best come to eat at Oli's with my friend Oli. We talked about Yelp and who knows? He might be a Yelp Elite soon? The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived so we had to put our name on the list. It didn't take too long to get called. Water and menus were brought to us right away and we were able to order relatively quickly. The kitchen got our orders out in a jiffy considering how busy they were. The restaurant is great for small and medium size parties. We came for lunch but their breakfast looked legit so I definitely want to come here for breakfast one day. Customer service was friendly from the entire staff and everyone was helping each other. Thanks to Rod U's review, I knew what I wanted. Oli ordered the Loco Moco w/white rice, egg over easy, toss salad w/vinaigrette dressing and the gravy on the side. I ordered their Salt N Pepper Fried Chicken w/white rice and toss salad w/vinaigrette dressing. We split the plates in half and shared with each other. The beef patty was prepared medium and was quite good. Egg was a perfect over easy as the yolk just oozed all over the patty. Their gravy wasn't bad and I'm glad my friend got it on the side. The star of the meal was the Salt N Pepper Fried Chicken because it was literally like crack as Rod U stated. It tasted better and better the more I ate it. Even the fried skin was amazing! The chicken was moist, seasoned well and not oily. I highly recommend this dish! Definitely worth waiting in line for to dine here.
I've been here twice in the same month because from the first visit I just couldn't try everything that I wanted. Even from two visits, I still want to go back to try the other things on the menu. On my first visit, I went with two friends, which I highly recommend everyone do so you can try more items on the menu. We decided on the peanut butter banana stuffed french toast, 1/2 garlic chicken & 1/2 salt n pepper fried chicken with an upgrade of fried rice and of course we HAD to get the philly cheese egg rolls. The philly cheese egg rolls is what caught my eye to come here in the first place. They did not disappoint. It came with a spicy cilantro sauce, which was a nice compliment to the egg rolls. The peanut butter banana stuffed french toast was a nice option to counter the other salty items we ordered. I don't think I could have ate that all by myself, so I'm glad I had friends to share it with so I could try it. The chicken dish we got was pretty good. I wish we had just gone with the garlic chicken, but it was good that we at least tried both to know what they are like. The salt n pepper fried chicken was pretty bland. On my second visit to Oli's, I was by myself. I had been wanting to try the breakfast burrito. It's a hefty baby of food being that it is stuffed with your choice of meat (I chose Portuguese sausage), eggs, French fries and cheddar cheese. It comes with the spicy cilantro sauce that also comes with the philly cheese egg rolls. I only ate half and took the rest home to eat later. Service was outstanding both times I visited. Super friendly workers who are patient and helpful for those first-timers like us who were a little overwhelmed by the everything looks delicious menu. I saw a dollar bill taped to the wall. I asked why it was there. The employee said it was the first dollar bill Oli got when he opened the restaurant. Owners who never forget their humble beginnings. I love it. Comfort food at its finest when dining here. Being right next to UH, I hope many college students find their way here to bring lots of business to them. I know I want to go back.
Came here because of a recommendation from my BF. When you first enter the establishment you're welcomed by a Small cozy and clean restaurant. We were handed menus and seated promptly. As we breezed over the menu we asked our waiter for some recommendations which he was honest and said he hadn't tried very much of the menu but he did try and he recommended the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. We ordered the breakfast scramble, sweet bread pancakes, Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, breakfast burrito, and eggs, Portuguese sausage, and rice. Out of everything my favorite was the breakfast scramble. Breakfast scramble consisted of hash browns,spam, bacon, Portuguese sausage, bell peppers, onions, scallions, and cheddar cheese. What I liked is they didn't overpower with potato. There was a really good ratio of potatoes to protein. I wouldn't mind ordering this again. It wasn't busy because it was only the 2nd day that they were open. They're still trying to workout all the kinks of a new business and new staff but for the most part everything went smoothly during our dining experience. No. I don't know why this place has 4.9 stars. And I'm sorry to rate it this way but I was so so so disappointed after reading other reviews and seeing posts on insta about this spot. The good. the staff was so friendly and the food came out quickly. The dishes are cute. The ambiance is chic. The bad. All the food. Philly cheese steak rolls with the 'spicy' cilantro dip. No. It was not spicy :/ the rolls were not flavorful. Kalbi plate. No. Flavorless, not tender. Salt and pepper chicken. No. The chicken is crunchy and has salt and pepper on it. Peanut butter and bacon waffle. NO! The waffle was under cooked, soggy and the bacon was not crispy. And the macaroni salad is literally just macaroni and miracle whip, and a sprinkle of paprika. It was just not good. French fries - undercooked. Absolutely everything we ate had no flavor. read more

PARKING: When you enter the lot between Kansai Yamato (mochi shop) and Betty's Burgers on University Avenue, take a ticket at the kiosk. The first hour of parking is free with validation. Note: I parked for free on Varsity Place SERVICE: true Aloha Spirit. The gal and two guys were very friendly, helpful, and polite. They chatted with customers while bringing food, water, and menus to our table with smiles all around! ENVIRONMENT: clean, bright, and air conditioned! We liked the cool wall mural and wood table tops! (The entrance is next to Nijiya Market on the street side.) FOOD: I got the Mediterranean Avocado Toast with tomatoes, balsamic dressing, arugula, pesto, and Fera cheese. The toast was thin and crisp! Yum! Thanks to Irene for the excellent suggestion! Oli's for brunch... Not sure how it started but Mari wanted to meet and that was enough for me woohoo! It had to be after a certain time between Mari's and Nadine's event so it was brunch and Oli's Kitchen was on my list and turned out to be the perfect location. Located in Puck's Alley parking is provided there (first hour free with validation) you just need to drive slow if you're not familiar but it's on University Ave...not the ramp that's chained but the drive way further down between Kansai Yamato and Betty's Burger though since it was Sunday I did find street parking which is free and I don't have to rush. Gosh as soon as you walk in you get the friendliest greet, Nadine was already there and got us a table right beside the window but I was taking in all the lovely wall art as they immediately brought us water and asked if I wanted anything else to drink. All drinks are grab and go which is nice and convenient so I decided on a Diet Coke and was given a cup of ice giving me that extra chill! Not looking for something too filling I got the Omelet Sandwich which is like a mini omelette with your choice of meat (bacon, Portuguese sausage) and cheddar cheese on a toasted sweet bread. The sweet bread was toasted just right with the omelet cooked done which is how I like it but if you like it soft I'd suggest to let them know, just wished it came with a slice of fruit or a something something as I wanted simple it was just a bit "too" simple. It tasted good and I did enjoy it but it lacked something that I can't figure out. Nadine got the Mediterranean Avocado Toast which was a stunning work of art loaded with toppings on a thin and crispy toast. Mari had the Spicy Shrimp and upgraded to fried rice and what a bougie plate of shrimp coated in cilantro sauce. This is the only place we went back to on the same trip to Oahu recently! It's a newer establishment, but I'm sure it will be crowded soon enough if they keep slinging food like we had! Free parking for the first 60 minutes in a back lot, which can be entered through a small alley by Betty's Burgers. The aesthetics of the space are nothing special, but the servers and music are a really fun vibe to start your day! Probably one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had! Spam, eggs, cheese, and FRENCH FRIES inside. The best part is the cilantro dipping sauce they serve on the side! For $13, it's a steal on the island! First, let's start off with how friendly and welcoming this staff was here! It seemed as if they were genuinely happy to be there and serving their customers! Now, the food y'all . The FOOD! Delicious period. Everything was seasoned, freshly cooked, and serving size was bigger than most spots around. The breakfast burrito was the show stopper for me! Fries on a burrito!!! YES PLEASE! The sauce they served with it paired really well with it! The side of eggs was a great serving size and gave you all the protein you needed lol. Peanut Butter Banana Stuffed French Toast = ONO ----- My family and I have eaten here twice now for breakfast in the past couple weeks; we dined in once and did takeout another time. So far, we're big fans! We live about 10 minutes away from this casual, local-style diner, and I imagine we will be frequenting here quite often. I am already looking forward to trying their lunch options! The first time we visited, I had the breakfast scramble and my wife enjoyed the bacon waffle. We overheard a family dining next to us commending the green sauce that came with their breakfast burrito, so I asked for one on the side. Great move. The green sauce is super unique and paired perfectly with my scramble. I'm not even sure how to describe, but you must try it. I highly recommend ordering a side of it to accompany any savory dish. It's delicious! The second time when we did takeout, I finally got my hands on their breakfast burrito, and it did not disappoint. The burrito was stuffed with eggs, bacon, fries, and cheese and crisped on the griddle just the way I like it. We were able to easily grab a table for 2 around 10am. Nice and clean, and really friendly and welcoming staff. We were able to order from the breakfast and lunch menu. Yay, more choices! We got the breakfast scramble and house burger w/ fries. Probably wouldn't get the breakfast scramble again. It came a little cold though perhaps maybe sitting for awhile before it got to the table. It wasn't to my liking, maybe little over done/cooked and maybe a little much eggs. It was just eggs scrambled with bits of hash brown, spam, portugese sausages, bacon, and topped with chedder cheese, green onions and pepper. I needed a little more starch to the scramble so i would topped it onto of a fry and dipped it in ketchup. The house burger with grilled onions and sauce (ketchup/mayo mixed?). I would probably order this again but maybe hold the sauce. The hamburger patty is really good and homemade. Love it when it's homemade patties and taste good. Located in Puck's Alley on University Avenue, Oli's Kitchen is a hidden gem. Very welcoming owners and crew! We had a great 96th birthday celebration planned at the last minute. Excellent service and food! I ordered from the catering menu to dine in with family for a party of 18. We should have ordered another pan of tofu salad because the salad itself and the dressing were very tasty! Everyone loved the kalbi and furikake salmon, baked just right (moist & not dry). The kids mostly ate the garlic shrimp. Although there was a second floor of parking, we had elderly and street level parking was pretty close to the restaurant. If you're wondering if it's worth the drive from the West Side...it is! From the moment we stepped in we were greeted and seated with Aloha. It's a casual diner setting, but also with tables spaced out enough to provide some privacy. We ordered the salt & pepper chicken, breakfast burrito and garlic chicken. The spicy cilantro sauce that came with the burrito was so good we dipped the chicken in it as well. The salt & pepper chicken was cooked perfectly, the chicken was tender and the right amount of seasoning. We also dipped it in gravy....highly recommend you add this to your chicken dishes. HOURS: This spot is open 8am-8pm, so you already know the menu is diverse! FOOD: The food is terrific, including BREAKFAST ALL DAY!!! Who doesn't love breakfast for any meal? PARKING: Parking is FREE for the first 60 minutes, enter off of University, in the second driveway on the right, heading mauka, just after the intersection. ENTER: From the parking lot, go through Nijiya Market, and the door is immediately on the right when you come out to University Avenue. OPTIONS: They offer table service or takeout. Oli's Kitchen was the perfect spot in Honolulu to enjoy some authentic Hawaiian plates. You ever walked into a place and it felt like home? That's the exact feeling I got when I stepped inside. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting. Oli's was an intimate experience that you can enjoy anytime of the day (breakfast, lunch or dinner) with loved ones. We got to try so many dishes, I was amazed at how tasteful varieties Oli's has to offer. 1. Philly Cheesesteak Egg rolls are absolutely amazing! I can tell I will already be craving them when I leave here. 2. The Maple Bacon Waffle with Peanut Butter Drizzle was not only a feast for the eyes but absolutely salivating. 3. The Kalbi Beef Plate left nothing to the imagination. As a fellow islander I can say, it's hard to like everyone's macaroni salad, but Olí got it right. The beef was sweet and tender. 4. The Loco Moco was spot on. As a family we eat Loco Moco often and it's seldom I find anywhere that can make it and taste like my grandma's. Olí, thank you for giving me that brief moment of reliving my grandma's island cooking. RUN don't WALK to Oli's. You won't be disappointed. Casual spot for breakfast or lunch. Definitely not your average local breakfast spot but not a bougie brunch spot either and that's a good thing! Maybe you want something more than just a loco moco or breakfast plate and that's not to say their loco moco is plain because definitely delicious. But maybe you want a fancy waffle or French toast and not pay over $15 for it. Then this is the place for you. Got their breakfast burrito with steak. It was definitely missing something. Maybe just my taste buds but a little bit of spice or flavor was missing. The sauce that accompanies it is on the sweater side. We also got the breakfast plate with hash browns. My mom loved the hash browns as it was really crispy. The loco moco took me back to my childhood and it was delicious. Patty was a little char which I loved and the gravy was a light gravy. Dont go here without getting the breakfast burrito! It was the star of the show, for sure. It also came with a green sauce. We asked what it was and they weren't sure... lol. Some cilantro maybe? Some guac maybe? IN any event, it was good. We also purchased the egg rolls (could've done without those) and the 'dessert' for our brunch was the peanut butter french toast. A little sweet but it was a nice addition to meal. Diverse mix of locals and UH students it seemed like, but this place definitely has 'hole in the wall' vibes which we liked. I like how nice, spacious, and clean the restaurant looks. Loved their salt and pepper chicken and their peanut butter French toast. We also ordered the salmon bagel, but was not to fond of it; the presentation made it look unappetizing. The service, well there was only one person manning the front end, so be prepared to wait. read more
Overall I enjoyed myself here. Food was great service was amazing and atmosphere here was quite peaceful. One thing I did really like was there Philly cheesesteak egg rolls sounds like something that is to much but don't knock it til you try it. Peanut butter stuffed French toast was another thing I thought would be to sweet be overall it was pretty tasty. Now to the things I thought needed a little help was for sure there loco moco first off rice was a little hard and egg I asked for over easy and it was sadly over hard, gravy was a bit salty and Mac salad tasted like chlorine. But besides that everything else I really did like that's why I'm giving it a 4 stars. I'm very picky and critical, and this place was amazing! Our first visit on 4/13/25. We had the breakfast burrito (choice of meat was bacon), the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, breakfast scramble, and plain French toast. The "green sauce" they give with the burrito and egg rolls was winnab! Also, the 2 young boys provided the best service ever! They were able to handle the busy morning by themselves.. they serviced everyone quickly and with good vibes. The food is more ono when the environment is positive! Their names were Jayden and Ryder. We wanted to try a new place. So with the reviews it gets we came out. The service is okay not attentive but decent. The price is on the higher end for all The number of college students at that age here. The spicy salt chicken was yummy and our favorite. The garlic chicken was ok but their service took to long and we had to wait between the two chickens we got. I don't know which one I would get if I were alone. For sure I didn't like the Kalbi beef. Finally got to try Oli's located along University Ave. in the Puck's Alley area. We came on a Sunday at opening so there was lots of seating available. There is a parking area mauka of the restaurant with a gated arm (1hr free). One the thing we noticed immediately was the friendly and attentive service. Our coffee's were always filled and we were checked on frequently to see if there was anything we needed. We tried the breakfast scramble, mediterranean avocado toast, and two egg breakfast. Just came here for lunch on Sunday. This time they took the order from the table. We waited over 40 min for the food despite the place being not fully busy. They should warn people about the long wait. The shrimp plate was ridiculously small. Not worth $20 at all. The chicken combo plate at $17 not a bad deal. Some fellow travelers and locals picked this spot for a forty year reunion. We pulled into the Pucks Alley parking lot around 10:30 am and waited for someone to pull out of a ground floor space. The restaurant is just around the corner from the parking lot entrance, next to Nijiya Market. As we greeted and introduced each other, two in our party walked in to check in for our reservation, or so we thought. After a few minutes, we learned that there was a mixup and there was no table available. A few in our party were irritated and mentioned alternative spots to have this Sunday brunch. Hearing the stress in some of our party's voices, I walked in and noticed a couple open tables at the corner next to the window. I asked a gentleman how long they expected to have a table for our party of eleven. He told me ten to fifteen minutes. I calmly walked back out and repeated his estimate and everyone agreed that it wouldn't be too bad. About five minutes late, we were seated and handed menus. Not knowing about this restaurant, I Yelped it and perused the reviews and found an Elite that I met last year, Jo Y. This was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS... just to emphasize a little. It was a perfect balance of the tea flavor with pineapple, my fave by the way, flavor and the right amount of sweetness. Besides having good smoky flavor from the grill, I loved that it was not a wet version yet still full of flavor from the marinade. Where do I begin?? Fabulous and friendly service, GREAT tasting food and delicious coffee!!! This is MUST try for breakfast OR lunch. The option to 'reserve a place in line' on YELP does not work yet. Do NOT give employees a hard time if you have to sign in to wait for a table because of this glitch. They do their best to seat you in a reasonable amount of time. Just plan for some 'wait time' into your day if you decide to go for a first-time experience. The wait is WORTH it as far as we're concerned. Open 7 days a week from 0800-2000. We WILL return! Parking is right after the light once you pass the restaurant. It is a driveway with a 'pull ticket' to make the arm lift up, and you drive in. (Don't know how else to describe it), and the 1st hour is FREE. I was walking around the university and noticed the breakfast spot on yelp so I thought I'd give it a try. The staff greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and they were very nice and full of energy. You can tell the place is somewhat new but the inside of the building was way cleaner than what I expected from the outside. You can tell the owner of the company really cares about the property. The food was incredible. I ordered the stuffed French toast (banana and peanut butter) and damn!!! That's all I can say hahah. The Mac salad was also the best id had on the island. Oli's is just what this area needs - casual dining, locally inspired menu, and decent hours. Breakfast is served all day, 7 days a week, which fits right in with this "college town". The first time I came here, I tried the philly cheese rolls, both types of fried chicken (furikake and salt n pepper), and the peanut butter banana stuffed french toast. On my second visit, I ordered the fried chicken again b/c I enjoyed it so much the first time around. The owners and employees are very friendly, and take out orders are nicely packaged and come in paper bags with handles. The staff were kind, the food was ono, and I will be back again. Everybody at the other table seemed just as happy! Today I went for the garlic fried chicken, with fried rice and mac salad. Owned by Oliver and Skye Kim, the family-run restaurant of Oli's Kitchen opened in Puck's Alley in McCully on 12/19/23. The restaurant name uses the owner's first name, "Oli's" for Oliver. Owners live and grew up in HI Kai, with Oliver having worked at Roy's Restaurant and many others, having accumulated some 20 years of experience in the food industry. Prior to opening Oli's Kitchen, the owners were into the catering business. Oli's Kitchen serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a varied, and yet simple menu of breakfast items that include the popular peanut butter banana stuffed French toast, avocado toast, and breakfast burrito; they also have pancakes, waffles, omelets, lox & bagel, and loco moco. Lunch and dinner entrees include: salads, chicken, salt n pepper chicken, hamburger steak, steak, shrimp, burgers, shoyu chicken sandwich, and philly cheese egg rolls. There is something for everyone. They also have catering options. I've gone there for lunch and have tried the following as takeouts: * Kalbi special. Loved the Korean-style marinated kalbi with its crispy burnt charred edges! These were cut into nine pieces, each with its own bone. Delicious, savory and tasty! Served with rice and mac salad. * Salt n pepper chicken. Not to be confused with Chinese style salt & pepper seasoning, this chicken uses the restaurant's own salt and pepper spices and fried with potato starch, resulting in a delicious and light fried chicken that is moist on the inside and crispy on the outside (and that outside crispiness lasts for a very long time). Enjoyed this dish! Served with rice and tossed salad (no upcharge) with a nice vinaigrette dressing. * House burger. Impressed with this thick homemade Korean marinated burger topped with grilled onions, cheese, and house sauce! While the Korean sauce seemed to be subtle, it was very tasty, generous and filling. I liked that staff had cut the sandwich in half for easier eating. It was served with delicious crispy shoestring French fries seasoned with salt and pepper; these fries stayed crispy forever and were so addictive. Love that this restaurant puts their unique ideas into their creative dishes and call them their own Brown paper bags with handles are used for takeouts. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! They were upbeat, smiling, and willing to help you with your choices. Staff apparently are friends of the owners, and therefore, get along well and knowing their expectations as restaurant employees. I felt very comfortable in this restaurant. The restaurant seats about 44 and has a bright interior and lovely décor. Live plants complement the beautifully drawn walls of native Hawaiian plants, whom owner Skye is deep rooted in native Hawaiian culture. There is a smaller room in the back for small parties or can be used as an overflow if the main dining room is filled. Note the above doorway ledge to this room that has posted a $1 bill, which is a Korean tradition for prosperity. Note that menu prices already include a 3.5% credit card surcharge. If you pay in cash, staff will deduct 3.5% from your bill. Unusual to see this setup, as it's usually the other way around at other restaurants. So, great deals if you're paying in cash! Open daily from 8a to 8p, Oli's Kitchen is just to the left of Nijiya Market on University Ave. Free one-hour parking is available. Parking lot entrance is between Kansai Yamato and Betty's Burgers with parking on the ground level or adjacent two-story parking structure. Just loved the local comfort food here! I am a sucker for local food spots and Oli's definitely provided me just that. I got the Kalbi plate with white rice and mac salad while my friend got the Furikake Salmon with toss greens. The Kalbi plate was HUGE for the price and they event cut up the sections so its easier to eat. The meat was tender, juicy, and loaded with kalbi sauce. It was honestly one of the best kalbi I have ever ate at a restaurant. The place is on the smaller side and we went around 6pm and got seated right away. The server was super nice and knew the menu super well. He suggested the Kalbi and it was for sure a winner. I suggest going before 7pm because as we were leaving the place was starting to fill up. AND they serve their ENTIRE menu ALL DAY LONG. So if youre craving pancakes and eggs for dinner, this is the perfect spot. read more
My wife and I went to this place for breakfast, and this place is a must try. The location is on University Ave. You'll miss it if you're driving too fast. It's a little hole in the wall. Unassuming place in Puck's Alley. It shares the entryway with Nijiya Market. There's parking with entrance via University Ave, just after the building- go slow or you will miss it. Inside there's 6 tables to dine in with table service. It was hard to choose from the menu! They had a breakfast menu and a lunch/dinner one. Couldn't decide but we finally got the garlic chicken plate ($16) and the steak plate ($25). It came with rice ( upgrade to fried ride for a small fee), green salad or mac salad. The garlic chicken was so good!! Marinated just right and fried, then glazed with a sweet and savory sauce. The meat was nice and moist! The Mac salad was good too, maybe a tad bit mayonnaise-y for me but had a great flavor. The steak was done medium rare according to my request- perfectly done! It was a good sized piece already sliced. I think it could've been seasoned a bit more and it was a bit chewy- I'd stick with the chicken. The table next door had the spicy shrimp ( which looked to be on a skewer) and kal bi. Judging from the comments, the kalbi was a hit. I think I'll try that the next time. The service is awesome! Yum! We all enjoyed our meal here! Oli's Kitchen is between Betty's Burgers and Nijiya Market in Puck's Alley (first hour of parking is free). When we went, the parking ramp directly to the second level was chained. We had to go in through the street-level entrance off University Ave. The people here are really nice and accommodating. My friend wanted all tossed salad and no rice w/ her salt n pepper chicken. No problem. I was dithering between the salt n pepper and the garlic chicken. The waiter said, do you want to do 1/2 and 1/2? Yes, please! Salt n pepper chicken was crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside w/ a nice savory flavor. Garlic chicken stayed crisp even with the sweet garlic sauce. I'm so glad I had the best of both worlds! My friend got the omelette sandwich and asked for a side of fried rice. Again, no problem! My other friend really enjoyed her lox and bagel. They did not skimp on the lox. And my weird friend who wanted only banana pancakes for lunch enjoyed that. (Not even a side order of bacon???) I got a single chocolate chip pancake for my "dessert" and a decent cup of coffee. Perfect end to a satisfying meal. Pancake was fluffy and had a good amount of chocolate chips that syrup was superfluous. Will return to try other yummy offerings! read more

Went to Oli's Kitchen after noticing it on Yelp. I got the Peanut Butter Banana stuffed French Toast it was Amazing! Good flavor and toasted just right. I was so happy I forgot to take a picture of it! My Sister and Mom got the Breakfast Scramble that looked absolutely amazing and Huge too! I should hav asked my sister for a bite became it Looked so good! Prices are reasonable which is great! Parking is quite adequate as there are a lot of stalls even if you have to go to the second floor to park, luckily I found one right inside the open area of the parking lot. They were really friendly and I'd be glad to go back again! And if you know me I rarely give 5 stars unless I'm really impressed! I think this will be my goto place for breakfast! read more
