I am a sucker for local food spots and Oli's definitely provided me just that. I got the Kalbi plate with white rice and mac salad while my friend got the Furikake Salmon with toss greens. The Kalbi plate was HUGE for the price and they event cut up the sections so its easier to eat. The meat was tender, juicy, and loaded with kalbi sauce. It was honestly one of the best kalbi I have ever ate at a restaurant. The place is on the smaller side and we went around 6pm and got seated right away. The server was super nice and knew the menu super well. He suggested the Kalbi and it was for sure a winner. I suggest going before 7pm because as we were leaving the place was starting to fill up. AND they serve their ENTIRE menu ALL DAY LONG. So if youre craving pancakes and eggs for dinner, this is the perfect spot. read more

No. It was not spicy :/ the rolls were not flavorful. Kalbi plate. No. Flavorless, not tender. Salt and pepper chicken. No. The chicken is crunchy and has salt and pepper on it. Peanut butter and bacon waffle. NO! The waffle was under cooked, soggy and the bacon was not crispy. And the macaroni salad is literally just macaroni and miracle whip, and a sprinkle of paprika. Unassuming place in Puck's Alley. It shares the entryway with Nijiya Market. There's parking with entrance via University Ave, just after the building- go slow or you will miss it. Inside there's 6 tables to dine in with table service. It was hard to choose from the menu! They had a breakfast menu and a lunch/dinner one. Couldn't decide but we finally got the garlic chicken plate ($16) and the steak plate ($25). It came with rice ( upgrade to fried ride for a small fee), green salad or mac salad. The garlic chicken was so good!! Marinated just right and fried, then glazed with a sweet and savory sauce. The meat was nice and moist! The Mac salad was good too, maybe a tad bit mayonnaise-y for me but had a great flavor. The steak was done medium rare according to my request- perfectly done! It was a good sized piece already sliced. I think it could've been seasoned a bit more and it was a bit chewy- I'd stick with the chicken. The table next door had the spicy shrimp ( which looked to be on a skewer) and kal bi. Judging from the comments, the kalbi was a hit. I think I'll try that the next time. The service is awesome! We were looking for a locally owned breakfast spot to enjoy while in Oahu. We came across Oli's by chance and it did not disappoint. We were seated right away and given great recommendations to try. We ended up going with the Peanut Butter Stuffed Banana French Toast and the Loco Moco. Oh. My. God. While the loco loco was good, the PB French toast stole the show. When we went, the parking ramp directly to the second level was chained. We had to go in through the street-level entrance off University Ave. The people here are really nice and accommodating. My friend wanted all tossed salad and no rice w/ her salt n pepper chicken. No problem. I was dithering between the salt n pepper and the garlic chicken. The waiter said, do you want to do 1/2 and 1/2? Yes, please! Salt n pepper chicken was crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside w/ a nice savory flavor. Garlic chicken stayed crisp even with the sweet garlic sauce. I'm so glad I had the best of both worlds! My friend got the omelette sandwich and asked for a side of fried rice. Again, no problem! My other friend really enjoyed her lox and bagel. They did not skimp on the lox. And my weird friend who wanted only banana pancakes for lunch enjoyed that. (Not even a side order of bacon???) I got a single chocolate chip pancake for my "dessert" and a decent cup of coffee. Perfect end to a satisfying meal. Went to Oli's Kitchen after noticing it on Yelp. I got the Peanut Butter Banana stuffed French Toast it was Amazing! Good flavor and toasted just right. I was so happy I forgot to take a picture of it! My Sister and Mom got the Breakfast Scramble that looked absolutely amazing and Huge too! I should hav asked my sister for a bite became it Looked so good! Prices are reasonable which is great! Parking is quite adequate as there are a lot of stalls even if you have to go to the second floor to park, luckily I found one right inside the open area of the parking lot. But he greeted us with such aloha and walked us to our table and right away, he asked what we would like to drink I said water for myself and my aunt ordered their plantation tea. After a few minutes of browsing their menu. I went ahead and ordered the following items. Philly Cheese Egg Rolls w/ Spicy Cilantro Sauce, man I gotta tell you their house made sauce for these egg rolls was like heaven. The spicy level is like very mild with just a small kick and some kind of sweetness added. I mean it could've been honey added to their sauce but we may never know. Had a killer breakfast burrito here with some killer green sauce (still dunno what was in the sauce). Have had this place on the list for a while and finally dropped by. Parking is free for the first hour (turn in off University). The staff was friendly and helpful. Took a little while to get the food out but was worth the wait. There's a closed off ramp that most people think its the parking but you have to go a little further to the parking entrance. There a limited number of stalls on the ground floor but there's a ramp near the exit to the upper level that has additional parking. We're back, this time for lunch....had to try the salt & pepper chicken and kalbi with side order of fries. Service is still da best, fast and friendly. Could have dined in but considering its a small place not sure I'd want to wait for a table in case there was a line. The chicken did not disappoint the batter is so so light and flaky/crunchy, not dripping in oil at ALL, no trace of oil at bottom of container? That's pretty amazing, not sure but maybe they bake or airfry, but either way its a winner winner chicken dinner. The Kalbi was just kalbi, nothing to boast about but it was very thick cuts, ours had a wee bit too much fat but it was good. Ordered takeout on a Saturday night and the service was very friendly even over the phone and super quick. We ordered the garlic chicken and the cheeseburger. The garlic chicken was interesting as it is breaded with furikake but it was super flavorful. The cheeseburger was moist and tasty, but would be even better with the addition of vegetables (i.e. lettuce, tomato) for freshness and texture. The fries were okay, but that's usual for takeout. Some coworkers and I decided to try this place, and I am sure we will be back! Parking was easy, staff was super friendly, menu has a great variety and service was quick. With breakfast served all day, the go-to breakfast dish for my kids was definitely the pancakes (with mom or dad's Portuguese sausage and eggs). Man. How could that even happen? The presentation was a bit of a mess too. Check out the photo. I calmed down and ate my food. The hamburger patty was super juicy and flavorful. Our first time here, so we had to get the Philly Cheesesteak rolls even if was only 9am and they did not disappoint along with that green sauce. I got the Mediterranean Avocado Toast. Loved the sprouts, feta, and chunky avo on top. Perfect for one of their lighter breakfast items. My husband got the Breakfast Burrito and it was fully loaded. Food took a little bit during brunch rush with a packed restaurant, but when we ordered takeout on a different day it was about 10-15 minutes wait, not bad. Everything had a nice homemade feel to it. The gravy was a little lighter than the classic brown gravy but still very flavorful. Philly cheese eggrolls - I swear I read that it came with spicy cilantro dip but it was sweetish? And not spicy at all, which I think it needed. The cheesy eggrolls were pretty good and the fresh cilantro flavor paired great with it, but the sweetness threw me off. Same for the breakfast burrito, good flavors but it needed that spice. Peanut butter glazed maple bacon waffle- they did NOT skimp on the bacon! Great flavor combo and a nice fluffy waffle. They also have a peanut butter banana french toast which is a good sweet option, Garlic chicken was reaaally good, like a really fresh crispy karaage plus the tasty garlic marinade. Salt and pepper chicken is in the same style but with a simple salt and pepper seasoning. It sounds plain but it was good, especially if you're craving that crunchy golden fried texture. Kalbi was so tough like beef jerky and choke fat super salty ! My gf garlic chicken didn't have much flavor and was dry, bulgogi was also tough and lacked flavor as well not sure where they picking up meats but not good at all we really wanted to like the place but all three plates wasn't edible. This awesome restaurant is a local owned restaurant that produces ono grindz. They have breakfast food as well as many local favorites for lunch/dinner. They are located close to pucks alley where the old curry house used to be. Their food is very tasty as it's homemade and not frozen stuff. You can do dine in or take out.
