    YuMmmy Signature Porchetta Sandwich $18
    Jill F.

@fortunefoodfinds: "Life is (cia)BATTA with you! A Signature Porchetta Sandwich that includes caramelized onions, cherry tomato confit, arugula, Italian chili oil, n' tender slices of porchetta with a crispy skin all on ciabatta bread from ROTI-SI. When at the Kailua Town Farmers Market on Sunday, be sure to make your way!" Staff: friendly Interior: n/a Exterior: pop up @ farmers markets Wait time: 15-20mins Parking: lot or street Overall comments: the first time I had their porchetta sandwich was last year at the Saturday Kaka'ako Farmers Market. This recent visit we spotted them at the Sunday Kailua Town Farmers Market. The porchetta sandwich was just as i remembered, fully stuffed n' flavorful. Everything came together to create a delicious sandwich. My favorite part was biting into the crispy pork skin. A yummy n' filling sandwich!

This is my favorite sandwich of all times. Their Signature Sandwich has the right amount of sweet with the caramelized onions and tomatoes with the savory of the herbs and the crusted pork and ciabatta bread! Dear God it's like the best of all flavors in my mouth. I have no need for a desert cuz this sandwich checks the boxes to appease every tastebud. Perfecto!

A three pound rotisserie chicken is $28. If you even started to think "but Costco..." stop reading. Rotisserie chickens and sides that are worthy of taking out plates and flatware that you actually need to wash and uncorking a nice bottle of red. Two chicken choices, organic or pasture raised from the local J. Ludovico Farm. Opting for the later, it is rubbed with fresh herbs, well seasoned and spit roasted. Being pasture raised, these birds are smaller, denser, moist but not dripping with juices from being pumped full of additives like the hideous Costco cluckers. The basil pesto pasta salad loaded with cubes of organic rotisserie chicken, tuna, sun dried tomatoes, and of course cheese, $15, pairs perfectly. The pesto is packed with pine nuts adding richness and pairing perfectly with the flavorful chicken. Other salad offerings and sides of roasted root veg available to pair as well. And yes, they make a killer porchetta sandwich as well. A fixture at the Kakaako Farmers Market and now What the Truck 2. See IG for more popup locations. Surpassing most restaurants while being on wheels. Solid.

I went to the Kakaako farmers market to see the Omao Man, but apparently he's on vacation, so wandering around, I started getting hungry. The line for JOJA was sooooooo long, so I walked around to try something new. The aroma of the chicken and pork being cooked drew me closer. I then saw this girl just grinding on one of their sandwiches and, well...that says it all! They had a special holiday sandwich, with mushrooms and truffle sauce, and that's exactly what I got. The skin on that pork was soooooo crispy! The flavors were just delicious! I only ate half and saved the other for later. Well, two days later and that sandwich was still ONO! Heated it up for about 45 seconds and it was perfect! Great place to check out! Mahalo Roti-Si!

If you're a fan of bold, savory flavors and melt-in-your-mouth meat, the Porchetta sandwich is a must-try. The star of the show is the porchetta itself -- a beautifully seasoned, slow-roasted pork belly with a perfect balance of fat and crispy skin. Each bite delivers rich, herby notes of garlic, rosemary, and fennel, wrapped in tender, juicy meat. The bread plays its part too -- crusty on the outside, soft and airy on the inside -- sturdy enough to hold the filling without overpowering it. Many places pair it with a bright, tangy salsa verde or pickled onions to cut through the richness, which adds a welcome contrast and freshness. What really sets a porchetta sandwich apart is the texture: crunchy crackling, tender pork, and soft bread come together in a satisfying, no-nonsense bite. A porchetta sandwich done right is rustic, indulgent, and unforgettable. It's not the cleanest thing to eat, but that's part of the charm. Just be ready to get a little messy -- and very full. Don't forget to take home a whole roasted chicken, with a side of roasted veggies, potatoes, carrots and Brussels to complete your meal, all of the Tuscan flavors to bring you a taste of Italy. Pair it up with a refreshing farro salad or a pesto pasta. Give them a try u won't be disappointed... ~Por'ketta, porcheetah, porshetta, prosciutto, how ever u say it come give it a try!!

Got their signature sandwich for $18: Porchetta with lots of arugula . The portion is generous and I liked the sandwich except their Italian chili oil. It was too hot for me, so if you are not a spicy lover, ask them to reduce chili oil. (It makes you thirsty) Thank you for the tasty sandwich!

Porchetta with vegetables was a hit!! It is seasoned well and the flavor is bursting with the herbs. I liked it and next time I might go grab a chicken after reviews on how juicy it is. Brought my plate home and it was still so tasty after an hour of being out. Simone is friendly and helpful and the best part is that I can practice my Italian with someone else! The foods was good and flavorful. The ambiance of their cart is clean and well maintained. Excellent pit stop and grazie mille Simone! Alla prossima di sicuro!!

This Kailua Farmers Market gem continues to amaze me with a special of the day, a Spicy Italian Sausage Sandwich. It is crafted on a toasted baguette with layers of roasted peppers, sweet onions and medley of mushrooms and topped with a layer of cheese to finish it off. Don't forget the pesto pasta salad as well as a side of roasted fresh vegetables! Oh! One last item, enjoy a cool refreshing Rosemary Lemonade to freshen your palate.

This Family ran business is know for their porchetta (slow roasted Italian pork roll, rotisserie cooked for 4hours) they also server chicken as well... I highly suggest ordering their famous porchetta sandwich... He starts with fresh crispy ciabatta bread, and smoothers it with caramelized onions, layers on confit cherry tomatoes, pile on fresh slices of porky goodness, then top with a drizzle of spicy oil and arugula.... If you like a really good pork sandwich, you'll love this one. And wash it down with their delicious ice cold lemonade. They can be found on Saturdays at the Kaka'ako farmers market, and on Sunday Kailua Farmers market (located at Castle Medical Center). Kailua on is Pet friendly , so bring your furry friend and you can enjoy the outdoors on the lawn there or take it to the park across the road. To some it may seem pricey but for how much work goes into it, I feel it is worth the $17, plus it was big enough for me and my wife to share...

Saw this booth several times at Kakaako Farmers market where you enter and exit through the parking lot and their rotisserie machine caught my eye as it is large and looked really clean. I eventually tried out a porchetta sandwich for $17. It came on a nice toasty bread with an abundance of veggies, porchetta and sauteed veggies. I thought the sandwich overall was not bad - but i was kind of thrown off by the hint of sweetness to the sandwich as it wasn't expecting something sweet to be coming out of something i assumed that would be savory. Cash or card is accepted and they're only open at the Kakaako famers market on saturday and Kailua farmers market on sunday.

Food: We ordered the porchetta sandwich and it was amazing! You get the crispy ciabatta, leafy arugula, fatty pork with crunchy skin, sweet caramelized onion and tangy tomato confit. Everything works so well together. Service: The lady taking our order was very nice and it didn't take too long to get our food. We just walked down the row of food tents and back. Ambiance: I really liked being able to see the chicken and porchetta being cook on the rotisserie as well as them constructing the sandwich in front of you. Price: it's a little pricey, but the sandwich is so good that I'd say it's worth it.

    Jenny C.

Juicy, tender, crisp (skin!), and packed with flavors that will transport you straight to Italy! We drove all the way from Mililani Town to Kailua farmers market just to try their Porchetta Sandwich--and it was so worth it. The porchetta was perfectly seasoned, with that golden, crackling skin that added the ideal crunch. Layered with tangy pickled onions and fresh arugula, each bite was a perfect balance of rich, savory, and bright flavors. Honestly, I'd make the drive again in a heartbeat just for another bite. If you're a fan of porchetta or just straight-up amazing sandwiches--this is a must-try.

Be sure to call ahead, it usually takes ~30 min per order if you call. Takeout only. Service is very polite. Parking is tough because of the area but there are a few spots out front, would generally recommend calling ahead so parking is less stressful. Their menu was a little confusing to me so here is some explanation: K pop chicken- boneless chicken pieces K chicken wings- flats and drumettes (the two parts of a larger chicken wing) K chicken tenders- boneless tenders only K crispy chicken- full wings, thighs, and breast pieces They offer each of these items as a plate lunch too, with a smaller portion of chicken that comes with rice and salad. I personally like the K chicken wings for the variety and higher meat to skin ratio but my husband really likes the K chicken wings. The skin is shatteringly crispy and flavorful and the meat is juicy. Their honey shoyu sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and salty. You can also request the sauce on the side. I've also had the fried rice which was decent and generously portioned. We once had a complimentary house salad given to us which was unexpected kindness. Overall they do a great job serving up a delicious craveable food that keeps us coming back!

They actually cut in half 5 pieces of the Chicken Backs and each 1/2 counted as a piece of overcooked chicken jerky! I also got a 1/3 of a breast section with bones and not even a 1/2 of a thigh. That totals my 10 pieces. More bones and excess crispy flour then consumable meat. NOBODY gives a Chicken back (or 1/2 a back)! Not Popeyes, not KFC or Zippy's who will remain my Favorite because I will only get ripped off the 1st time, never again. Additionally, they make you buy the sauce, the reason is due to no seasoning on the over floured bread...but it IS Crispy! The Chicken tenders were overcooked and REALLY Chewy around the edges. Just a LOT of breaded Crispy with no flavor, what "Chef" doesn't even use salt? Really, if you're going to risk testing this food, PAY for some sauce! I hope the Owner reads this and realizes that ripping people off by selling broken pieces that most Chef's throw away because they have so little meat on them, isn't going to keep him in business. The profit margin may be up while folks are trying it, spending their hard earn $$$'s, yet not coming back will be the ultimate demise of this business as many other have come and gone doing the exact same thing, not putting themselves in he patron's position. Ask yourself this: When was the last time you saw a bowl of whole chicken pieces and immediately grabbed one that was back bone chopped in half?

However, after having to abandon our original dinner plans, we were no less intrigued after randomly stumbling across this place. While they may not have been our first choice for dinner, coming here was far more appealing than eating fast food or at the nearby IHOP! Although seeing so many folks at this mini food truck park may have been what caught our attention, it was the boxes of fried chicken on nearly every table that swayed us to try Waikiki Chicken in Paradise in particular. After skimming the menu, it wasn't hard to see why they were such a popular choice - everything on it sounded great. Granted, that's not overly difficult when there are only eight items to choose from, but tough to argue with the likes of fried chicken loco moco, fried chicken curry rice, fried chicken sandwiches, chicken & croffle, and fish & chips! Since we saw how big the portion were and didn't want anything too heavy (read: sadly, no loco moco or Japanese curry), we opted to split a FRIED CHICKEN RICE PLATE ($16.95) which came with a Fried Chicken Cutlet over White Rice with Mac Salad & Green Salad. Funny enough, despite already having a sense of how much food they give, I was still surprised by the generous portion size. As for how it all tasted, this was great. The breading on the chicken reminded me of Popeye's (though, without the spice), the batter was crispy, and the chicken itself was rather moist. As for the sides, the mac salad was pretty good, but the salad was a little heavy on dressing. If there was one thing I could change about our order, I think I'd want to see how it would taste with a sauce or glaze. At the very least, I'd definitely go with a different dipping sauce, like their Pineapple Ginger, Lilikoi Mayo, or Guava BBQ, as the Honey Mustard we went with tasted a bit generic. Of course, we could've solved both problems if we had gone with the Fried Chicken Loco Moco or Fried Chicken Curry Rice instead! I guess I'll just have to wait until the next time I'm in Waikiki!

I uploaded this picture into chat gpt with the business explanation of the pinking in poultry and according to AI, "Pinking" can happen in cooked poultry -- but what you're showing in the photo does not look like harmless pinking. Here's the difference in plain language: Harmless "pinking" (still fully cooked) * Happens from smoking, high heat, or certain proteins. * The meat is fully opaque, firm, and cooked through. * Only the outer edge or near the bone looks pinkish. What your picture shows * The meat looks translucent, soft, and raw, especially near the joint. * There are dark, bloodlike areas around the bone. * The texture looks undercooked, not just color-changed from chemical reactions. Even with pinking, cooked chicken never looks glossy or raw in the center the way yours does. I decided not to go back to the counter because there was a language barrier and I felt the woman wasn't listening to me in the first place anyway. Threw pretty much all the food away and left hungry and down $20.
