This place is so much nicer now that it's no longer a strip club catering to horny soldiers,…read moredefense contractors, and civil servants. Because of its seedy past, I had avoided this place for 15 years. And then the Sorry Gulch became the Horned Toad and cleaned up its act. I finally stopped by yesterday afternoon, a Friday, when I read the reviews here mentioning craft beer on tap. I had to check this out. I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the dark lighting reminds you that you are in a bar, but there are now various sections within the space for a variety of happenings: dancing, listening to live music, shooting pool, sitting on couches by a fire place, sitting at tables with friends, or sitting at the bar. Seats and tables are spread apart to comply with the 6' distancing. I sat at the bar with my friend and had a variety of Arizona craft beers. It was an off hour and quiet enough for conversation without yelling. I'm sure this place can get loud and crowded late on a Friday or Saturday night. Happy Hours are 3-6pm every day when the tap beers are $5 and there are IPAs, blondes, pale ales, stouts to choose from. The beers are constantly changing. I had a beer brat for $5 to stave off my hunger and got to talk to the friendly managers, Miles and Debbie, who both were very attentive to my friend and me. The outdoor patio is also dog friendly as long as the dog is nice, is leashed, and refrains from drinking alcohol. I will be back!

It felt so special, like we had our own little corner of Bisbee to enjoy the evening. We started with the appetizer sampler, and every single bite was incredible. Each item was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. It set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal. For our entrées, my husband ordered the duck and could not stop raving about it. It was perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. I had the Chilean sea bass, and I'm still thinking about it. It was cooked to absolute perfection. It was tender, buttery, and it truly melted in my mouth. As if that wasn't enough, it was paired with prawns and lobster ravioli... just beyond delicious. Okay, I also have to mention the salad. The salad was fresh and amazing, and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were served a lime palate cleanser before our entrée. Such a thoughtful and elevated touch. We were honestly blown away. Our server was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. It made the entire experience feel warm and personal It's rare to come across service that truly enhances a meal like that. And dessert... the crème brûlée was to die for. We paired it with a 10-year tawny port, and it was the perfect ending. It was smooth, rich, and indulgent in all the best ways. This was more than just dinner; it was an experience. Café Roka delivered excellence from start to finish, and we will absolutely be back. To our wonderful server: May kindness you give return to you tenfold, May your path be light, your days be warm, And may every table you serve be filled with gratitude and joy.

The bar is small, charming, and cozy, with an inviting neighborhood feel. My friends and I grabbed seats at the bar, and the bartender was both funny and skilled, mixing up some excellent cocktails. The whole place probably seats around 30 people, including the patio, which makes it feel intimate without being cramped. I had an Old Fashioned made with WhistlePig, it was smooth, balanced, and perfectly crafted. I'll definitely be back, especially while the weather's still nice in Tucson.

They do offer outside seating but with the cold nights may not be ideal. The plus though is they also have heaters for the patio area. The staff were very welcoming, and the bartenders are sweet. The drinks are definitely on the unique side, but the bartender I had was very accommodating in if we didn't like it, just let her know. I can't remember the drink I had but it was pleasantly good. My friends 1st drink, wasn't it, so the bartender made a Mai tai which was much better. Overall, I loved the chill vibes, it's a good spot to either start your evening, or just have a lowkey night. I'll definitely check this out again, next visit.

One fateful night in Tucson, we stumbled upon the Unicorn Zebra. We had never heard of this place…read morebut were curious so we went in. We were greeted by a giant statue of a unicorn zebra and of course took a selfie. We then went to the bar area and absolutely loved the dark speakeasy vibes. Burk, the handsome man with a shiny head, was at the bar. He handed us a drink menu that contained fun drink names like Death of a Unicorn. The drinks tasted good and had a lovely presentation. Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. He had a lovely personality and accommodated all of the guests that came in near closing. We enjoyed Santa's Banana Hammock and Unicorn Ski Accident. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. I look forward to seeing where this place goes. It has a ton of potential for special events with the basement area. P.s. It's also a boutique hotel. You could always book a room and enjoy dreams downstairs without having to drive

Same charms, different bartender, and new summer (May) craft cocktails that have become quite substantial (see pic of double-sided menu). Though we arrived at 4:10 (right after their usual 4p opening) on a Saturday, no happy hour, but we were first patrons and grabbed the big bay window. We are both on a mezcal discovery kick and ordered the Black Cathedral ($16) and the Girl Dinner ($16). Each was as described (pic) and delicious. We had dinner plans and needed to leave at 5:15 - just as things were picking up. We'll definitely be back sooner.
