Never know what your going to run into here, tonight is karaoke with a twist. Prime shots of bourbon rub $8 per, good selection to fill a preference in your poison. Not much to eat so do that before you get here

It felt so special, like we had our own little corner of Bisbee to enjoy the evening. We started with the appetizer sampler, and every single bite was incredible. Each item was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. It set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal. For our entrées, my husband ordered the duck and could not stop raving about it. It was perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. I had the Chilean sea bass, and I'm still thinking about it. It was cooked to absolute perfection. It was tender, buttery, and it truly melted in my mouth. As if that wasn't enough, it was paired with prawns and lobster ravioli... just beyond delicious. Okay, I also have to mention the salad. The salad was fresh and amazing, and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were served a lime palate cleanser before our entrée. Such a thoughtful and elevated touch. We were honestly blown away. Our server was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. It made the entire experience feel warm and personal It's rare to come across service that truly enhances a meal like that. And dessert... the crème brûlée was to die for. We paired it with a 10-year tawny port, and it was the perfect ending. It was smooth, rich, and indulgent in all the best ways. This was more than just dinner; it was an experience. Café Roka delivered excellence from start to finish, and we will absolutely be back. To our wonderful server: May kindness you give return to you tenfold, May your path be light, your days be warm, And may every table you serve be filled with gratitude and joy.

The plus though is they also have heaters for the patio area. The staff were very welcoming, and the bartenders are sweet. The drinks are definitely on the unique side, but the bartender I had was very accommodating in if we didn't like it, just let her know. I can't remember the drink I had but it was pleasantly good. My friends 1st drink, wasn't it, so the bartender made a Mai tai which was much better. Overall, I loved the chill vibes, it's a good spot to either start your evening, or just have a lowkey night. The bar is small, charming, and cozy, with an inviting neighborhood feel. My friends and I grabbed seats at the bar, and the bartender was both funny and skilled, mixing up some excellent cocktails. The whole place probably seats around 30 people, including the patio, which makes it feel intimate without being cramped. I had an Old Fashioned made with WhistlePig, it was smooth, balanced, and perfectly crafted. I'll definitely be back, especially while the weather's still nice in Tucson.

You pull up in the parking lot and the building does look like some sort of shelter. It ain't pretty.... When you walk through the front door, you're greeted by the scents of stale cigarette smoke and Fabuloso. The decor is something out of the mid 60's. It's a very fun, unpretentious place. It's kitsch and offbeat, maybe even offputting if you think too hard about the legacy of that family, but it's anything but boring. What I love: They're big on doing their own infusions. You absolutely must try Pam's Spicy Lemonade--Hornitos with thai chili and mint. I've also had coffee-infused liquors here before that you'll rarely find anywhere else. I'm not a smoker, but I get stoked for their enclosed smoking patio with a couple old arcade cabinets (I like Centipede!) What I like: There are like, really cheap simple cocktails with the creativity to make some unappealing, bottom shelf liquors taste palatable. Those aren't my usuals, but I'm always intrigued. I will shamelessly have a couple $3 High Lifes. There's only one big bar in the center of the lobby, but service is generally fast. It's dimly lit and can be tightly packed, but you'll still have fun. Good for date night or groups of four or less. No food, but once in a blue moon you'll find a truck parked out front. Overall, a solid Tucson staple.

I get that you have to "stretch" popular items, but there comes a point where you either serve coffee or the coffee substitute. But that isn't even the biggest issue. We go in at 8 to 8:15 Sunday mornings. Have for a good long while and eat before the church rush comes in. But for the last 3 months we had to find somewhere else because more and more tables are marked RESERVED as if this were a Michelin restaurant and not a diner. You used to see one or two tables with a card on it. Last time we went in, there were six. Now in a small establishment where you seat yourself, this is a big turnoff! The ONE time we did find a table, we were there for well over an hour as we had to wait for our food from the kitchen and don't you know, no one ever came in and sat at those reserved tables. Not one! Now the wait staff is still very nice and friendly and they seem disappointed when we have to turn around and leave. But that's the only bright spot. Well, that and this has caused us to go searching for another local breakfast restaurant to become regulars at. Thankfully we have!

The exterior looks like a mix of three attractions: a restaurant, a museum, & a movie theater. I can't say if all three of those things are really in there, it's just an impression. I will say that I am glad I took at chance at trying their food at a time when I was seriously hungry. I was invited to sit wherever I wanted, so I chose a table along the wall with a big TV right above me. I was greeted kindly, and given time to order my food, which I decided would be a couple fried eggs, hashbrowns, sausage patties, toast, & cheesy grits. They were so good, with the hashbrowns being, as my partner put it, "The best he's ever had!" I personally enjoyed the patties the most, and the grits the least. The grits were made in a way that the shredded cheese was sprinkled on top of the grits instead of mixed in it, and I do not prefer that style. It was still good, just not as good as others I've tried. So that's why I'm not docking points; why be super critical on one side dish when everything else was an A+? I liked the wholesome feel of the restaurant, like everybody knew each other, and the fact that it was pet-friendly was a bonus too. A couple came in with three cute dogs, and that just made me super happy (not to mention, it WAS on my birthday too). I would come here again if I return to Bisbee.
