Doc Holliday's Saloon - Bars Near Me - Tombstone, Arizona

My daughter and I drove all day from California and were excited to see the local sights and have a bite to eat. The only establishment that was still serving food at 9pm was Doc Holliday's Saloon. From the minute we walked in, the vibe was very "locals only" as several people were gathered at the far end of the bar where the only bartender / employee was working her crowd. Keep in mind this was a Friday night and there were maybe 10 people gathered around socializing. We waited patiently at the center of the bar hoping to catch the bartender's attention. After a few minutes with absolutely no acknowledgement of our presence, I moved towards the end of the bar where the bartender was holding her audience of locals. We were a bit road weary and just wanted to order a pizza to go and take it back to our hotel as it had been a long day. Apparently we did catch her attention because she proceeded to say "Don't worry - I'll be right fucking with you", rolled her eyes, then winked at her regulars. Keep in mind all we did was stand at the bar - we did not call out to her or even wave or raise our hands to catch her attention, we just merely moved closer to where she was. We left immediately. It was a terrible experience. If I could, I would give this employee and Doc Holliday's Saloon ZERO stars based on this woman's atrocious behavior and unprofessionalism. My daughter is a young, local dive bar enthusiast and also rates this establishment as a flop. The one bright spot was the bouncer who was very nice. It's a shame his co-worker is exceptionally rude and he has to work with her. On a positive note, we had an exceptional experience down the road at Circle K with Matt who gave us a history of Boot Hill and we were able to find pizza there as well. I would highly recommend passing on Doc Holliday's Saloon and head over to see Matt at Circle K instead. read more

This was one of our first stops in town and they had some nice drink specials and great prices on most everything here. They have a pretty extensive selection of anything you can think of to drink which is nice on a hot day. Friendly bartender, Jell-O shots, any kinda shots and sitting in a historical town after a long drive made this a great first stop! read more

Beautiful big wooden bar with a wide variety of spirits and beer. Came in for a quick beer to cool down and just happened to be a 'show' about to start. We bought the $20 ticket and laughed along with a few short skits. The strip in Tombstone isn't long, so no reason not to stop in here and have a drink, or two. read more

This is a fun bar and a good place to meet a few locals too. I gotta say there was a local kid. He is one of the gun fighters who was cat calling tourist girls and I was pretty put off by it. Had He said something like he had said to a couple girls I heard him cat call, to someone I was their with it would have needed to be addressed. I get he's a local but come on. It really did diminish the evening. BUT, the karaoke was good, bar tender was fun. Over all a good time. read more

I like to give places a second chance. My first experience was ridiculous. The bartender was more interested in his buddies at the end of the bar. Because of that, I watched numerous people leave after just one round. I was one of them. He never checked on us. I had an empty beer for at least 10 minutes, I'm not the kind of dude to get off my comfortable seat and seek a bartender. I'm also not going to snap my fingers at him. I made numerous attempts to make eye contact but to no avail he never bothered looking my way. He was having more fun with his buddies at the back of the bar. Their food selection is kept to a minimum. Nothing worth ordering. I will try it again and hope there is a lot of improvement with service. read more

Cool spawn in the middle of town kind of touristy, but they had some stuff for sale, knickknack, cigarettes, lighters, etc. I don't know if they had food, but the service was prompt because no one was there. I like the bartender she was great and felt very nostalgic drinking in old buildings like that. read more

BAD BAD BAD! Go to any other place in historic Tombstone other than this place! Such a shame too, in such a cool town. I guess not everyone loves their job. The broad behind the bar was so rude thar our group of 5 got up and walked out without even ordering. She was solely interested in the 3 only people sitting at the bar which were the only ones in the entire place. Guess that should've given us a clue! We passed on the pretzels and tater tots menu and headed over to Big Nose Kate's to get service, without attitude, by someone who likes to get tipped. Save your money and good mood for a different place. THIS place was NOT IT!!! read more

This was the second bar my boyfriend and I went to when we were visiting Tombstone since Big Nose Kate closed earlier. This bar is cash only. Service was good. The bartender was great. We had beers and chicken tenders . Great chicken tenders and decently sized. Good bar food. It was pretty loud obviously since it was a bar. There was karaoke too. Super fun. read more

Arizona 01-2024 Doc Holliday's Watering Hole Saloon & Bar located on the Old Main street in Tombstone. Cash only establishment. Serving drinks and food. They do offer local bands & entertainment but when we were there, it was not offered. We were there about 2pm on a Sunday afternoon in January so not very lively but if these walls could talk what would we hear? I'm so glad I was able to go here at least once in my life. I highly recommend you stopping by if given the opportunity. read more

We were bar hopping at night checking out the scene and we stopped here and ordered a margarita. The female bartender wasn't that friendly and was a bit impatient even though the bar wasn't busy. The margarita had the premix in it so it wasn't that good but passible. These bars are tourist traps for some but I like the old western vibe and the barflies that dress the part. read more

Doc Holliday's Saloon - Chill bar - Cash only JAN2024 - Bars Near Me - Tombstone, Arizona

Just a place to drink. Nothing more nothing less. Want to get drunk? You have found the place. Stays open very late. No historical significance inside. Just a place to get drunk. Sometimes you can get something to eat, other times, you can't. But you can, always get drunk read more

I love Tombstone and this is our second visit in 4 years. The town is super friendly and I love the shops, restaurants and cute bars. With the exception of this place. We wanted a snack and a soda. So we stopped in here. Sat at the bar. Bartender to start had a IDGAF attitude. He took our drink order and was rude. (Everyone has bad days.) but he seems to have a chip on his fat shoulders not only with us but all the customers! Came with our sodas, in cans, no ice no cup. We decided to order mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders. We didn't know they are frozen crap and he shook the bag into some oven thing. They were terrible when brought to us. It was also served with a huge FO attitude. We finally asked for our bill. He added it up on a calculator and yelled the total. It's a cash only bar. My husband gave Mr Attitude the money and he brought our change. My husband was going to leave a tip and I said absolutely not. This guy ( big, with a beard) was not getting anything extra for being a jerk!! So if you're in Tombstone stay away from here. You've been warned!! read more

A beatuifully renovated Saloon with so much history and a great bar. Friendly service and atmosphere.

Great service with a laid back atmosphere. Full bar and they have karaoke too. Not too noisy and right on Allen street.

This was a fun stop the first night with Casey. She was making alot of jokes back and never forgot to make sure we always had a drink. The dj doing the karaoke was a bit of a dick. Kinda brought the whole vibe down. Casey asked us if we were starting a tab or paying out. That was nice. The next night we went, it was a different lady. Definitely not as friendly or attentive since we weren't locals. Her policy was pay for every drink,no tabs, and then expected a huge tip on each order. That definitely was the wrong approach. read more

This place is simply one of a kind. Was in town for a Nick Groff event & this Saloon was right up the street from my hotel. They were quick, nice & affordable. The live music was also amazing and the environment made me feel as though I was stepping back in time. I had their nachos and they were delicious! I would definitely recommend if youre looking for that old time feeling & vibes! read more

This is about as close as you can get to the spirit of an 1880s saloon. A local watering hole with karaoke, abundant beer, a good selection of bourbon and lotsa noise, it's a great place to be with friends on a quiet night on Allen Street in the Town too Tough to Die. read more

We came in on a Sunday night at the tail end of a very rough and trying week long road trip for work. It was our only day to be able to relax and decompress and Doc Holliday's made it happen! The combination of the amazing bartender and KJ, and the overall ambiance had us having fun in no time. If we ever come back to Tombstone, Doc Holliday's will be the first place we hit up. Great time! Just keep in mind that they are CASH ONLY. read more

Went here during the Hellderado Days celebration in town. This has always been my go to bar in Tombstone. Not anymore. The service was terrible. I ordered two drinks and the bartender looked at me like I insulted her. Nasty attitude indeed. Eyes rolling with an angry demeanor. She even walked away while I was picking a tequila for a margarita. She could have offered suggestions instead of the "stink eye." I understand it was a busy weekend but there's no call for that kind of customer service. Y'all are in the hospitality business. If you can't handle it, find another job. Onto the Crystal Palace or Big Nose Kate's Saloon nearby. read more

It's the "Cheers" of old western town bars. The bartender Karen is amazing at her job. She's quick to get your drinks and great at listening yet if you ask her "she knows nothing" so no rumor starting here. The karaoke host on Saturdays and Sunday, Caitlyn. Is sweet funny and a wonderful participant in the entertainment. Then there is Jeremiah the bouncer who not only will provide you with great conversation outside but has a lovely talented wife Sherry who makes very unique and beautiful jewelry that has a price range for everyone. I would and will highly recommend the hometown bar to anyone visiting the area. Amazing experience! read more

Two strikes. Not sticking around for the third. First, I was suggested a beer from a bartender. I asked how it tasted, and she immediately opened it and set it in front of me. Secondly and on a different occasion, when I didn't see the tiny ass sign that said cash only, I was asked "Who put sand in my clit" by a bartender because I had the audacity to question why the sign wasn't bigger, or posted on the windows in the front. I'm done with this place. Go across the street to Crystal Palace instead. read more

Samantha was the best bartender ever! My husband and I do t get out very often but going to this local bar an meeting this wonderful server with her spunky attitude and humor an accommodation to my husbands weird deserts based drinks made the finale to our anniversary worthwhile!! read more

The bar tender had a huge attitude didn't care about patrons at all. We thought we maybe came in at a bad moment.. Everyone has them. The attitude of the staff was lazy and like they were above their patrons. That is just not acceptable, we will spend our money elsewhere, I know most of the people in this town would give good service and appreciate a customer, or 2! Update: as we were writing this review someone stated that the bartender is new they they never should have put him on shift solo on a weekend. Still inexcusable. An asshat is an asshat, period! read more

Doc Holliday's Saloon - the outside of the restaurant - Bars Near Me - Tombstone, Arizona

We went to this saloon after 8pm because everything else that offered food was closed in this little tourist town & the nice lady at the bar across the street said they had food, so we went hoping it was true. Thank goodness it was true even better, the bartender was very nice, friendly & talkative my husband & I we're visiting from CA & we're tired after driving many hours & just secured our room & wanted something, anything to eat, he made up a pizza for my hubby, and chicken strips & fries for me, we both had a cocktail & were very pleased the food hit the spot because we didn't want to do anymore driving & this was a block from our room. The prices were more than fair he even answered our questions about the area attractions, great guy, I only hate I forgot to ask his name. But he worked Monday night has a beard, great guy! read more

Food was OK! Just options that can be microwaved. Kevin, the bartender was fabulous! Remembered us the 2nd night we went there and what we were drinking. Ambiance was very Tombstone. Bar is only place to eat in Tombstone after 8 pm. read more

This is a tourist trap that pretends to be a lot better than it is. The drinks were overpriced for what you get, the bartenders were aloof, and the food was just passable. It took forever to come even though we were among the only people ordering food. It's a nice place to hang out. I would avoid coming here on the weekend because it can get crowded. Other than that, it's a solid if unremarkable place. read more

Stepped in to Doc Holliday's after doing a spur of the moment tourist stop in Tombstone and bellied up to the bar for a cold brew. They only have one beer on tap, Bisbee Brewing Company's Aces & 8's Ale. Served in a frosty, cold mug, this dark, malty ale hit the spot. You can even buy a growler to take home. The environment in Doc Holliday's is friendly, they've got affable barkeeps and the place is spacious. There is a smoking patio out back, a juke box and plenty of seating along with a long bar filled with locals. Great, fun decor fill the walls. Check it out! read more
