This was one of our first stops in town and they had some nice drink specials and great prices on most everything here. They have a pretty extensive selection of anything you can think of to drink which is nice on a hot day. Friendly bartender, Jell-O shots, any kinda shots and sitting in a historical town after a long drive made this a great first stop! read more

This is a fun bar and a good place to meet a few locals too. I gotta say there was a local kid. He is one of the gun fighters who was cat calling tourist girls and I was pretty put off by it. Had He said something like he had said to a couple girls I heard him cat call, to someone I was their with it would have needed to be addressed. I get he's a local but come on. BAD BAD BAD! Go to any other place in historic Tombstone other than this place! Such a shame too, in such a cool town. I guess not everyone loves their job. The broad behind the bar was so rude thar our group of 5 got up and walked out without even ordering. She was solely interested in the 3 only people sitting at the bar which were the only ones in the entire place. Guess that should've given us a clue! We passed on the pretzels and tater tots menu and headed over to Big Nose Kate's to get service, without attitude, by someone who likes to get tipped. Arizona 01-2024 Doc Holliday's Watering Hole Saloon & Bar located on the Old Main street in Tombstone. Cash only establishment. Serving drinks and food. They do offer local bands & entertainment but when we were there, it was not offered. We were there about 2pm on a Sunday afternoon in January so not very lively but if these walls could talk what would we hear? I'm so glad I was able to go here at least once in my life. Cool spawn in the middle of town kind of touristy, but they had some stuff for sale, knickknack, cigarettes, lighters, etc. I don't know if they had food, but the service was prompt because no one was there. We were bar hopping at night checking out the scene and we stopped here and ordered a margarita. The female bartender wasn't that friendly and was a bit impatient even though the bar wasn't busy. The margarita had the premix in it so it wasn't that good but passible. These bars are tourist traps for some but I like the old western vibe and the barflies that dress the part. read more

I love Tombstone and this is our second visit in 4 years. The town is super friendly and I love the shops, restaurants and cute bars. With the exception of this place. We wanted a snack and a soda. So we stopped in here. Sat at the bar. Bartender to start had a IDGAF attitude. He took our drink order and was rude. (Everyone has bad days.) but he seems to have a chip on his fat shoulders not only with us but all the customers! Came with our sodas, in cans, no ice no cup. We decided to order mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders. We didn't know they are frozen crap and he shook the bag into some oven thing. They were terrible when brought to us. It was also served with a huge FO attitude. We finally asked for our bill. He added it up on a calculator and yelled the total. It's a cash only bar. My husband gave Mr Attitude the money and he brought our change. My husband was going to leave a tip and I said absolutely not. This guy ( big, with a beard) was not getting anything extra for being a jerk!! So if you're in Tombstone stay away from here. You've been warned!! read more

This was a fun stop the first night with Casey. She was making alot of jokes back and never forgot to make sure we always had a drink. The dj doing the karaoke was a bit of a dick. Kinda brought the whole vibe down. Casey asked us if we were starting a tab or paying out. That was nice. The next night we went, it was a different lady. Definitely not as friendly or attentive since we weren't locals. Her policy was pay for every drink,no tabs, and then expected a huge tip on each order. This place is simply one of a kind. Was in town for a Nick Groff event & this Saloon was right up the street from my hotel. They were quick, nice & affordable. The live music was also amazing and the environment made me feel as though I was stepping back in time. I had their nachos and they were delicious! Went here during the Hellderado Days celebration in town. This has always been my go to bar in Tombstone. Not anymore. The service was terrible. I ordered two drinks and the bartender looked at me like I insulted her. Nasty attitude indeed. Eyes rolling with an angry demeanor. She even walked away while I was picking a tequila for a margarita. She could have offered suggestions instead of the "stink eye." I understand it was a busy weekend but there's no call for that kind of customer service. Y'all are in the hospitality business. If you can't handle it, find another job. It's the "Cheers" of old western town bars. The bartender Karen is amazing at her job. She's quick to get your drinks and great at listening yet if you ask her "she knows nothing" so no rumor starting here. The karaoke host on Saturdays and Sunday, Caitlyn. Is sweet funny and a wonderful participant in the entertainment. Then there is Jeremiah the bouncer who not only will provide you with great conversation outside but has a lovely talented wife Sherry who makes very unique and beautiful jewelry that has a price range for everyone. Two strikes. Not sticking around for the third. First, I was suggested a beer from a bartender. I asked how it tasted, and she immediately opened it and set it in front of me. Secondly and on a different occasion, when I didn't see the tiny ass sign that said cash only, I was asked "Who put sand in my clit" by a bartender because I had the audacity to question why the sign wasn't bigger, or posted on the windows in the front. The attitude of the staff was lazy and like they were above their patrons. We went to this saloon after 8pm because everything else that offered food was closed in this little tourist town & the nice lady at the bar across the street said they had food, so we went hoping it was true. Thank goodness it was true even better, the bartender was very nice, friendly & talkative my husband & I we're visiting from CA & we're tired after driving many hours & just secured our room & wanted something, anything to eat, he made up a pizza for my hubby, and chicken strips & fries for me, we both had a cocktail & were very pleased the food hit the spot because we didn't want to do anymore driving & this was a block from our room. The prices were more than fair he even answered our questions about the area attractions, great guy, I only hate I forgot to ask his name. This is a tourist trap that pretends to be a lot better than it is. The drinks were overpriced for what you get, the bartenders were aloof, and the food was just passable. It took forever to come even though we were among the only people ordering food. It's a nice place to hang out. I would avoid coming here on the weekend because it can get crowded. We've been here many times before and have never had an experience with the staff like we did this past weekend. The male day time bartender should be more of a bouncer than a bartender. No personality, rude to customers for no reasoning at all. The lady next to us was trying to explain what she wanted to drink, and his responses were so unprofessional when he walked away she said to us "he's not very nice". I felt bad. Saturday nights bartender was much better but then Sunday we got another rude bartender but this time it was a woman working day time. She was upset customers were asking for food menus "we're called a saloon not a restaurant". Work on training your staff to have a better attitude. This place is fine for what it is, it's a quirky little bar located in tombstone AZ. It seems to serve mostly as a gathering place for the locals after the rest of the town rolls up it's sidewalks. it is the ONLY bar open late in the entire town, so that's probably why!!! The BT was nice and friendly, and my beer was nice and cold. I got some fried goodies as I was starving and they were the only place actually open for food, and I have to say for frozen pre-made bar food, it tasted pretty damn good. The power went out whilst I was there which made for an interesting evening as did the loud argument between some locals that started inside and then made its way outside. However like I said if you are a night owl, this is the only game in town, and to be honest I had a pretty good time in the place!! Well worth checking out if you're in town. read more

They only have one beer on tap, Bisbee Brewing Company's Aces & 8's Ale. Served in a frosty, cold mug, this dark, malty ale hit the spot. You can even buy a growler to take home. The environment in Doc Holliday's is friendly, they've got affable barkeeps and the place is spacious.
