    Onion Rings, thick and hot.

Sat night 6:30 visit and the place is filled but there is room for two more. We had to try this place passing it so often. Server was friendly and welcoming. Got us two beers quickly and took our orders. I was having a combo with cooper sharp and wifey was having a regular. We also ordered Onion Rings. All came out soon after and were hot and thick and with a little slab or horseradish, delicious. Many games on and a good times noisy crowd. Not a intimate spot, a let's watch the game spot and grab some delicious food. Will be back.

This is the sandwich with more meat and really dry.

I ordered delivery for my sandwiches. I couldn't believe that they would actually think this was ok to send. Please see photos. I had 2 Roast Beef . One had 2 pieces of scraps , they were so small . The other had one full pieces of beef , that one I asked for it to be wet , it was so dry . It looks nothing like the photos they advertise . I called as soon as I saw the sandwiches . The girl on the phone said she'll tell her manager and he'll call you , we are really busy . Never got a call back.

Interesting place, only five selections. Roast beef. Pork, turkey or broccoli rabe. With or without cheese. Several was to customize your sandwich, see the menu instructions picture. Full bar, they made my dad a gin martini that he enjoyed. I had a local draft. I ordered the roast pork combo so it had sharp provolone on it. My dad had the roast beef and the gravy fries. If you look at the menu instructions, gravy fries are a cheese curd away from poutine. I also had the onion rings, crisp and tasty. If I had to list a fault, all the plates and utensils are throw away. And they should keep a bottle of hot sauce around.

This place is pretty good. My boss and I went in on a Thursday for lunch. We walked in and sat a high top near the bar. We weren't greeted by anyone, so my boss eventually went up to the bar and asked if we order there and she was told someone would be to the table. A sign would be nice, maybe we just missed one. The menu is simple. Just pork, turkey, or of course, roast beef sandwiches. I think there's also a broccoli rabe sandwich available. You can add cheese, horseradish. Fries on the side. There are a few other variations. They're served on round rolls. My boss went with turkey and seemed to enjoy it. I had pork & broccoli rabe with provolone. Mine was delicious and more than I could eat. I took half home to my husband. The cheese on the fries was a perfect orange wiz. We'll likely return!

Great spot for a simple, quick meal. The roast beef sandwich is appropriately sloppy with just the right amount of gravy, a slice of provolone and an ample amount of beef. Pair it with fresh horseradish and you're left wanting for nothing. The gravy fries are excellent - crisp and piled high with beef shavings. Clean and inviting atmosphere with friendly staff. Side note - when the West Chester location first opened, the gravy was way off compared to the Springfield location. Everything is right where it needs to be now.

First time eating here since I left the area and was a little disappointed. The gravy fries were still fabulous, but the roast beef sandwiches weren't as good as my past visits. The roast beef itself was dry, and there wasn't enough gravy to make up for it. I don't know if they switched where they get their provolone from, or if they ran out and had to get a back up, but it used to be really sharp and well complemented the meat. This time around I wasn't getting any bite from the cheese at all. I even tried the cheese by itself and it was fine for provolone, but I would never believe it was sharp provolone. The service was great, the staff were all friendly, and our food came out fast.

Cool new sign marking their new 3rd location in West Chester!

Carnivores' rejoice! This is the second Western suburbs location of this family-owned joint. The other is in Springfield and of course the legendary original location is in South Philly. If you have visited the other locations you're going to be surprised at the ATMOSPHERE here. This is an extensively remodeled building that looks and feels brand new. There is a rectangular bar that has one more seat then Springfield but feels bigger. There are plenty of tables including some private rooms. For your listening pleasure there is a Wi-Fi enabled TouchTunes juke box. You can also test your skills on Golden Tee. The CUSTOMER SERVICE at the other locations has always been solid and they have maintained that here, I had three different folks touch me and they were all friendly and competent. If you are into adult libations this is a FULL BAR joint with about ten taps. When I visited, three of them were IPAs. Now for the FOOD. The star of the show is sandwiches especially roast pork and roast beef. They carve their roast beef to order here for every sandwich. There are no slices sitting around getting dry. Most folks will add a slice of sharp provolone and many will also add a Topper of broccoli rabe. If you want the entire experience get a side of gravy fries. Depending on your choices you're going to spend $10-$15 not counting your drinks of course. When your food arrives and the wonderful aromas hit you, take an extra couple of seconds and grab a double handful of napkins. This is delicious but messy food. Expect savory juices to be dripping everywhere. That includes you chin, hands, arms and even in your hair. Maybe I'm exaggerating a little but not by much! The other locations have earned 4-4 1/2 stars with hundreds of reviews and this new location joins them with the same excellent experience.

Someone couldn't wait to try the pork combo.

We were seated at exactly 4:30, and our server was friendly and fast. RJ and I ordered Downeast Peach Mango Cider which was refreshing and delicious. We started with crab and artichoke dip and beef and weck eggrolls, and our table ordered 2 fish and chips, the "Luxury" seafood pie, shepherd's pie, and the beef on weck sandwich. My weck included onions, mushrooms, swiss, and bacon with a side of au jus and horseradish. Yum, what a salty, savory, spicy combo. The roast beef was very tender and juicy. The fish and chips were all enjoyed, as were both pies. We did not make it to dessert but will try that again another time. We were in and out in about 1 hour without being rushed at all. We will definitely return to the Whip!
