DEAD BUG IN DRINK AND MORE…read more I've lived in this city for most of my life, I've been here about 3 times and it's always been alright until I got the taquito plate with a horchata, I ended up getting someone elses food which was fine. I went back and told them i got the wrong food and if i could get my order, the lady was unapologetic and just handed me the correct order, the lid of the drink wasn't all the way on and some spilled on me and the inside of the car, when I did a double look on the drink I saw there was a dead fruit fly in the drink (inside of the lid). I went back and showed it to the employee (same one who was unapologetic) and I asked for a comp and just to take the untouch food and drink to dispose of it. the response was "you already paid for it." And that was it. I didn't argue, but she asked me if i wanted another horchata and i said "no. I dont want any drink or food." I then ask if she wants me to throw the food away.. she just walked away from me. So I threw it away on my way out of the building. Maybe I got the short end of the stick and caught them at a bad time, I get it, I can sympathize but this is ridiculous. I'll just call my bank. Update: the bank told me they need the phone number and name of manager and they'll do a claim.. so i called.. no the story doesnt end here. I called and asked for a manager (julie was the one who picked up) and she told me she was the one who was helping me in the first place and she's the one in charge. I told her I just wanted a refund, she told me it's not her fault, she gave me the right food and it was not her responsibility. I told her once again I just want my money back and I'm not even mad at her. I apperantly annoyed her enough for her to tell me im keeping her away from her customers and just to come in so she can refund me but also bring in the food that I purchased..which I had to remind her I threw it away in the restaurant when she walked away from me. She hung up on me and I drove back once more, she was very annoyed and told me that once again I'm holding her up and that this isnt her fault, and when she went in the back to refund me she was talking about me in Spanish to her coworker.. I asked for Julie's name (at the time i didnt know) and then when she gave me the proof for the refund while giving me her name, she proceeded to be more irritated with me and repeated herself once more how it's not her fault then raised her voice saying "SIGN HERE. HERE!" just to sign the receipt for the refund. I signed it and she just walked away. I'm not mad at the fact she gave me the wrong order. Im not mad how the lid wasn't even all the way on because I wouldn't have found the dead bug and I'm not even mad at the fact I found a dead bug in my drink (though I am disgusted). I'm upset at the lack of responsibility and hospitality of the service. I never said anything hurtful, i never raised my voice or made sly comments and STILL got treated that way.. so if THAT'S whose in charge, I worry for this restaurant and I hope no one goes through this the way I did.

Our table had two fish and chips, a Ruben sandwich and a steak salad. My Ruben came out first. OK. Over sauced and onion rings were oily. Several minutes later the two fish and chips came out. Some of the fish was burnt and fries were an embarrassment..virtually all end bits. After about another ten minutes the steak salad came. Since the steak is presmoked and only needs to get heated don't know why it took so long to come out. Sadly there was no part of our meal that was even considering good. Prices were reasonable Can't recommend. Maybe breakfast is better.

These people have a far better grasp of customer service than the owners of the Fearless will ever have. Im so glad we did. It was great. It wasn't gourmet dinning, it's burgers, sandwiches and a fantastic beer selection. The burger was great, I had blue cheese and most places either skimp on the blue cheese or load it so heavily it ruins the burger. Here it was a great balance and tasted great. My wife had a burger with a gluten free bun. The bun was good, not every place does gluten free that tasted good. She liked her burger as well. They also handled special requests with aplomb. My daughter's kids meal (grilled cheese) was the size of some places normal meal but still at kids priced. The staff was very friendly, we got greeted as soon as we came in and they were attentive and friendly without being intruding. It's new, I know they have had new place bumps, but if your local and looking for a good burger and brew, or just passing through town on the way to the river give Fearless and Co a try, I think it's worth it. My food and my husband's food tasted like I was eating CREAM OF SALT with garlic and the bread was even more salty. He was starving and just ate it, I only got through about half. It was so salty. My daughter said her burger was dry and tasted weird. She didn't finish it. Her fries were good. We didn't complain. We were hungry and uncomfortable being squished up like that. I just wanted to be done with the whole experience. I won't say that I'll never be back. I understand that chefs and restaurants staff are human and mistake like over salting a dish can happen. Prior to this past weekend, hadn't had a problem with food, staff or seating. However, I do hope someone in management/ownership sees my review so improvements/changes can be made. I stopped in recently to pick up a to-go order and ended up sitting at the bar for a drink while I waited. I was greeted right away when I sat down and given a food menu. The place was completely slammed, but the two bartenders were absolutely dialed in. They were mixing signature cocktails, pouring wine, draft beer, and spirits nonstop while still checking in with guests. Watching them work was impressive -- the focus and efficiency looked more like professional mixologists than typical bartenders. The space itself has a great vibe. You enter from the 8th Street door and it feels like stepping into a hidden basement speakeasy. The interior is dimly lit with a huge illuminated whiskey wall. The bar is centered in the room with booths along the outside, making it a really cool date-night spot. While waiting for my food I ordered a Fort George City of Dreams Hazy IPA, which was cold and fantastic. As soon as I saw the cocktail menu though, I immediately regretted not ordering one of their house drinks -- the 8th Street Margarita looked especially good. I also noticed that all the whiskey drinks coming out had these beautiful crystal-clear 3" ice cubes, which is a great touch and shows they take their cocktails seriously. I originally came in because I've been ordering the Buffalo Mac & Cheese from their food cart about once a month for the last few years. Their Oregon City cart recently closed, so this was my first time getting it from the bar. My to-go order took about 30 minutes, which was totally understandable given how busy the place was. The staff stayed friendly and attentive the whole time. The Buffalo Mac & Cheese was still very tasty. The macaroni was great with a creamy cheese sauce and good buffalo flavor throughout. The chicken tasted like it may have been frozen at some point and was a little chewy compared to the crunchier chicken I remember from the food cart version, but overall the dish was still really good and something I'll definitely order again. Great atmosphere, skilled bartenders, solid food, and a really unique whiskey-bar vibe in Oregon City. Next time I come back I'm definitely sitting down and ordering one of those cocktails. Tip: Sit at the bar if you can -- watching the bartenders craft the drinks is half the experience.
