Outstanding coffee house. I least expected to find such an amazing place in this town. Really delicious coffee - highly recommend to try German Chocolate coffee. I also tried their Turkey Pita Sandwich, which was amazing too. The ambience of this place is super cool - loved the setting.

Coffee is good but the food is gross. My coworkers got food poisoning here once and I was in a hurry for coffee/food and thought it would be safe to get coffee and a plain sandwich. Took one look at the sandwich and said no thanks. Waste of time/money to come here for lunch. Just go to subway.

Home town hero of a coffee shop. When I lived in the area it was my daily stop for years. Not only exception blends of coffee, but amazing service, food, and conversation. A wonderful spot to take friends, family and just get a warm cup. Was a constant date spot when I first met my fiance and now that I'm not in Estacada, I miss it! read more

Hello Yelpers, I have found a delicious Coffee house in Estacada, my go to is an Expresso base coffee. I come here daily if I could, I get the Java blend. I enjoy the baristas, they are very good at their coffee making. I wanted it stronger and my barista was happy to make it. I will definitely be coming here. Come to the family own local cafe. Sweet staff with kind demeanor and great teamwork. I worked there for a couple hours this morning and it was so great hearing kindness among the gals working- encouraging of each other and seemed to be having a great time. Christian music playing which is AMAZING and safe for families Fri sit down and enjoy. Clean bathroom and GREAT coffee drinks! Overall great experience! Will be back- so cute! read more

This is a gem of a cafe; the ambiance is incredibly cozy. It is always lively but peaceful inside; it's a very inviting atmosphere with pleasant lighting. The rich aroma of coffee fills the air, and they serve standard coffee--nothing extraordinary but certainly decent. Overall, 5/5--very comfortable and lively. Perfect little hole in the wall local coffee shop! I came here to work for about half a day recently when i was in town. They offer free wifi that has a pretty strong connection and there is a decent amount of seating inside. There are outlets available to plug in your devices. They have a rather large menu with lots of fun options. We got a Brownie Brittle coffee and a Pumpkin Pie Spice coffee, both were fantastic. We also had lunch there. We got the Turkey Pita Wrap and the Bacon Breakfast Croissant. They serve breakfast all day which is fun. The food was pretty darn good for a coffee house. Don't expect gourmet just expect good food. The staff were very friendly and went out of there way to help us. Anytime i am in the area i would go back. read more

We live in Santa Monica, but love this little spot every time we visit our parents in Estacada! My personal favorite is the brownie with a chocolate chip cookie in the middle! Holy cow! My almond milk mocha was delicious as well, not too sweet, just right. The staff is friendly and service fast. read more

The Grind is hands down my favorite place here in estacada! Last summer I spent a lot of time there doing homework and bible studies. Rohonda, Malia, and Makayla are amazing batista and I love seeing they're smiling faces every time I go there!!! Good food and even better coffee! A great place for breakfast, lunch, homework, bible study, or just to hang out! Plus they have free wifi!! read more

Great coffee! Maybe the best I've ever had. Biscuits and gravy and bacon egg croissant were also very good and all was very reasonably priced with fast friendly service. Plus the decor was very warm and inviting and all the locals seem to know this is the place to go. Great place! read more

Great coffee! Back in the day, they used to serve tolerable coffee... I think Longbottom. Now they serve Portland roasting with multiple single origin coffee's to choose from. Great job guys! read more

Updating my review: finally gave them another chance. Not sure why I always drive past this place, but I do. Tired their gyro the other week and omg, not what I was expecting - it was delicious! You wouldn't think a little cow-town like Estacada could whip up coffee treats that rival the specialty coffee shops in Portland. Well, you'd be wrong. I'm drinking a mocha frappe right now and it may be the best thing I've ever tasted. Makes Starbucks' Caramel Frappuccino taste like hobo vomit. Unpretentious with a knowledgeable, friendly staff. There's a reason the line is six cars deep at the drive-through window from 6am until 8am. Estacada is a finicky town when it comes to restaurants -- you have to be good if you want to keep the business of the locals. The Grind does it right and I'm a fan. What a little gem in Estacada- The place is very clean, cute and comfortable! Staff was friendly and accommodating as well. Stopped in for breakfast and husband had a croissant sandwich which he thought was good, and I had a plain bagel loaded with veggies- they were helpful and nice to make me something to accommodate being vegan. And they have both almond and soy milk alternatives for coffee- which by the way, was very good. We had a latte and cappuccino- both done excellent. Will definitely stop in again! This is just an add-on (7/12/16) to my original post. Was in town again, and stopped in to grab a coffee. Exceptional service, very friendly people working and really great coffee. I had a soy latte and it was perfect. So nice to get a great cup of coffee when I am away from my "usual" place in Bend! Will definitely be back! read more

The flavor is stepped up if you get a bite of the bread crumbs on top (which has salt and garlic), sadly there is not enough crumbs to spread the salt to the entire dish. The Parmesan Truffle fries smelled wonderfully like truffle, but weren't too strong on the flavor. So that balance was nice, but they too were lacking salt. Service was good, and the woman running the truck was kind, friendly, and easy to talk to which helps the overall experience. Oh I should add I removed rice and such from the pulled pork and she was very kind offering a number of other options. :) Overall Salt could possibly raise this up a star. I had others in my family taste everything to ensure I wasn't missing anything, and there was consensus on the salt. So we shall give it another shot down the road.

Overall the place looks tired and cluttered with "memorabilia" akin to the name diner. And lastly, if you are preparing food, please wear gloves!

They are located in Dundee across the street from Red Mills Market, and neighbors to Fratelli Wine Bar so you could make a little afternoon of it exploring these fun spots. They have a good amount of space in their parking lot, but if it does fill (which can happen on the weekends), there is plenty of parking along the road. There is some seating inside and out, all pretty casual, but nice to have the option. I've only ever ordered to go, but they are quick and typically have sandwiches ready in 5-15 minutes (the latter only at their busiest times). Their menu is tight with two salad options, five sandwiches, and a couple coffees/teas. Also worth mentioning the gigantic brown butter chocolate chip cookie and delectable sounding gelato (pistachio, stracciatella...moo crunch?!). I have had probably half the menu items at this point, and all are good, but my favorites are the #1 sandwich, Morta along with the ceci salad (and cookie, obviously). Since they are so quick, don't waste time while you are waiting on your order, and make sure to peruse their fun snacks, soft drinks, and merch. The Torres potato chips are where it's at, and while I've resisted temptation thus far, I really want to get my hands on the Sockerbit gummies. Once you do receive your order, you will be swooning over the adorable presentation. I know you're thinking "t's just sandwiches," but they make them feel special from the paper wraps with the cute Merenda tape, to the red and white picnic check napkins. I generally venture up there only once a month or so, but Merenda has become a strong contender for favorite lunch spot in the area. Oh, and I always forget, but you can order online too!

The bread was soft but still had some bite to it. I also got the truffle chips which were such a fun change compared to the regular chips you see. We ordered online and process was smooth. Employees were helpful and friendly. It didn't fit in with my wine tasting but I was intrigued by their pistachio cold foam matcha.

The Hazelnut pasta was a hit for my fiance, and I loved that he got to try such a classic Oregon flavor in a pasta- how fun. That and the burrito were stuffed full of meats and other fillings. The tacos had the perfect amount of meat and topped with fresh veggie fillings. There were several nice tables to eat at beside the cart so we had a seat and dug into our bounty. We also tried the green sauce, red sauce and avocado sauces. Those just added a little more yum to everything! This might end up being our new favorite taco cart in the area. We will definitely be back.
