First I would like to say that the staff at this grocery store is excellent and friendly 5 stars to them, but the people who own this place do one of the worst jobs I have ever seen. There is a reason the locals call this place the theft way or the grift way. Almost everything is way over priced, some items are 2-3 times what they should be and possibly expired or rotten. I would love to do most or all of my shopping here because it's close and local but because of the way it's run I drive 30-45 min away to get better food at better prices. read more

This Harvest Market is owned by Thriftway which means the store is clean and nice. The bathroom was clean also. They have some selection of organic produce. They also have a good selection of other things like beer and water. I thought the produce prices were reasonable. The hot food wasn't good though. It is a full grocery store. read more

My grandmother lives in Estacada; she has lived there my entire life. Thriftway may have changed names once in my 27 years, but it's the same little store it always has been. I mean, it's exactly the same. They haven't done a dang thing to improve it, and for some reason the rate of inflation seems to be higher here than in other places. Everything at Thriftway is SO expensive! It's not like Estacada is in the middle of nowhere and it costs a ton to ship stuff here, so why does everything cost so much?! I guess Thriftway serves it's purpose for the locals though. I try to avoid going here though when I am in town. If I lived in Estacada I don't think I could afford to shop here on a regular basis. Even my 85 year old Grandma will drive out of town to get her groceries. read more

I guess this is a sleepy town, but it might be time for a grocery upgrade. This place needs to work on cleaning up the exterior a bit and possible needs a little upgrade on the inside. They have all the selection of a regular grocery store, but you just feel like you're in an old town. I only bought water which was a six pack of Arrowhead water at under $4. I used cashback with my purchase and was only allowed to get $100. The cashier said it was because she was new. Oh well, this won't have any bearing on your visit to Thriftway, but thought it might be a useful tidbit somewhere down the road if you found yourself there. read more

I went in to get coffee and came out wIth a smile on my face and a very nice hot coffee. The employees who work here are very kind and helpful. There was one employee in paticular who stood out who's name I could kinda make out from his tag who's name is Charlie or Charles.I was having trouble trying to find a person to help me make coffee and that's when a employee who's name is, Charles helped me. He went out of his way to make me a coffee even though it wasn't his role as a meat server, which suprised me since In Portland, The people will just tell you that there is none left. Charles is a great example of an excellent employee. Good job on picking these kinds of employees. read more

so I purchased a container of mini tomatoes, 5 bucks for about 20 mini tomatoes. The price was higher than in the bigger cities but that maybe is to be expected. The same evening for dinner I opened the container and they were old, dehydrated, and looked very unattractive. I live in colton and will not drive back to return them. I've lived in Estacada going on 5 years now, I believe in supporting local businesses, except for this one. My late wife actually worked there for about 6 months. I refuse to shop here (unless it's an emergency) for several reasons. # 1 The prices are way too high on almost everything, and I'm not talking a little high, outrageously high. They get away with charging these prices because up until a year or so ago they were the only game in town, now there's a Dollar General there and there are things in there that are a lot less expensive then at Harvest market but not the selection that Harvest has. # 2 This is a large community with a lot Senior citizens and assisted living centers who live on SSI and have a fixed income, A lot of these folks don't have the means to drive 10 miles to Sandy Or. and shop at, for instance Safeway, therefore are stuck paying these outrageous prices. Shame on the Owners. # 3, Apparently Safeway was going to bring in a store, had a location picked out right on Hwy 224, once the Owners got wind of this they purchased the lot to prevent any competition. They are pretty proud of that because they proudly have a HUGH sign which you can see coming into Estacada telling passers by that they own this property. I personally have NO problem driving to Sandy Or. and giving them my business, I refuse to pay through the nose because of them being the only game in town. read more

This is the GREST GROCERY STORE. The staff is one to be proud of in these difficult times, polite, helpful and very friendly. Great product selection, quality meat, produce and deli. I've been visiting here for years while camping on the Clackamas. They really do have a nice selection for a small town market. I've been to much worse, much more expensive markets in PDX and Sandy. The prices may be a little high on SOME items, but most are reasonable. All of the employees over the years have been super friendly and helpful. I hope this place is around as long as I'm able to camp the Clackamas wilderness areas. read more
