The sandwich was delicious with sautéed mushrooms and onions in the mix. The soup was nice and creamy and loaded with fresh broccoli chunks. The most perfect, craveable kind of lunch. I usually order a straight shot of espresso when I visit a new-to-me coffee shop to check out how the crema looks and to taste the espresso (has it been pulled correctly? Does it taste over extracted? Etc.) and I can say that today's doppio was perfect to my tastes. The only thing that could have made it better would have been to have had it served in a small ceramic cup or a shot glass instead of an 8-ounce paper cup. The cashier was friendly and pleasant, letting me take the extra time to register as a loyalty member, and the barista even called my double-shot a doppio. Good on ya! It's a nice quiet location with background music as well as lots of tables and some comfy overstuffed chairs and sofa; it's very clean and bright inside. There are also some tables & chairs outside on the sidewalk area for sitting outside on a beautiful PNW fall day like today. Free WiFi is an added bonus! read more

I had such high hopes after reading the reviews. Maybe someone new in the kitchen or lunch is always a bust? It's bright, airy and very open inside. Lots of local items for sale. Service at the counter was friendly and fast. Food came out pretty quick. There was a ham croissant that had a spicy sauce we weren't expecting but wasn't bad. The caprese panini though-what a mess. Almost burnt on one side and only toasted on the top half of the bread on the other side. The mozzarella was melted out of the sides with none in the middle. No sun dried tomatoes and no balsamic glaze. Basically a greasy mozzarella and pesto sandwich. Took it back to the counter and asked for the sun dried tomatoes. They came back in a minute and had added two thick slices of pink hard tomatoes slices. Tried to eat it but gave up. Probably would not come back with all of the other choices around the same block. read more

The service at Gwynn's is always welcoming and kind! And the drinks are tasty! Gwynn's is a place I like to check in and watch grow. The interior is relaxing, spacious, and feels great! Walking in gives you the vibe you want: relax alone, study/work, socialize, or grab a drink and food and go. Regardless of the reason you are there it feels right, and has the space to give you the privacy needed, or social experience desired. While we haven't tried the meal type food yet, the pastries have been delicious. We devoured a couple of muffins on Fourth of July, had a number of wonderful drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere. The food and drinks here are great, but the last few times we've been here, we ordered on the kiosk, we ordered a sausage eggs cheese sandwich, and we received just an egg cheese sandwich, when we went to the front we asked if we could get the sausage added, the employees said that we ordered the egg cheese, and we showed them the order on our app, saying we had the sausage egg cheese, and they said that it didn't count as proof, when it's what we paid for, we eventually got it, after they begrudgingly agreed, we went again after this, ordered the same sandwich we wanted and the same mistake was made, not sure why this happens read more

This was my first trip out to Gwynns. I went because I had heard of their new coffee flight on social media. I am a sucker for coffee flights and will drive miles for one. This one did not disappoint. The flavors were lovely and the presentation was fantastic. The ambience of the coffee shop made me want to stay four hours. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed my experience and of course my delicious bagel. I do wish they offered a little more variety in the coffee flight. They insisted I choose chai tea, or Matcha tea. Usually tea drinkers are not coffee drinkers and coffee drinkers are not tea drinkers. I took a sip of the tea and was reminded that I am not a tea drinker so that Portion went to waste. I also wish they offered a tea flight so I can bring my girlfriends with me. I wasn't a fan of the cold brew but I don't drink cold brew so that makes sense. It is my opinion that they would be better off with, more options to personalize the flight experience. Perhaps having a mocha flight, or a latte flight or a caramel themed flight. I Think I would come back if they allowed me to personalize the flight a little bit. I know flights are a pain in the neck, but it would bring in more customers. Either way I will still give them five stars because everything was perfect besides the variety. read more

This is a nice coffee place, if you like sweet coffees this is your place, the food is good, I'm giving them a low score because I order a capuchino and it was the worst capuchino I have tasted, I was with a group and didn't want to return it and have to wait for them to try to make a new one, I believe if the first capuchino doesn't come out right the second one won't either. No real community connection. The place is kept clean and spacious. As for the food; After many tries I have to say the food offerings have gone down hill. The quiche; once a delicious dish, is now junky quality. And a very small serving. The wraps (I have tried twice) are dry and lacking adequate seasoning. In other words; low quality ingredients in smaller sizes while sold at a higher cost. I don't drink coffee so I have no opinion on its quality. The place used to have a full house of customers sitting at almost every table, every day it was opened. I can't recommend this place highly enough. The smoothie I got was delicious, and they offer a great variety of food and drink items--I can't wait to come back and try them. The ambiance is top notch and I loved the local-made goodies that were for sale. Convenient location, parking was easy, and the place was full and cheery inside. The employees were super kind, helpful, and efficient. The owners are the absolute best people, who not only give back to the local community but also do incredible work internationally. This establishment is exactly the kind of place I want to support! I was so happy to see lots of people enjoying it both inside and outside on this beautiful day (but even though there were lots of people there wasn't a long wait, and it didn't feel crowded at all). If you're in Canby today you MUST go to Gwynn's and get an "As Gouda As It Gets" Chef outdid himself when I visited! This beauty contains flavorful sliced ham, Gouda, pear, egg and thyme on a toasted English muffin. If that weren't enough to make it worth it I will point out that they are all perfectly sliced to a size that makes the flavors blend but not overpower each other. My mouth was in heaven, my heart was full as my son played cards with me (and devoured THREE Asiago bagels) but wait........ hold the phone and be prepared to be impressed......... The chef came out with a cup of hot water and paper towels so I could wash my hands at the table and play cards uninterrupted while enjoying my breakfast. Absolutely fantastic ! Go here, order food and drink, and hang out. Excellent environment and service. The staff were on their game and delightful. Top quality service. I ordered the Turkey Pesto Avocado sandwich, substituted the bread for a lettuce wrap and it was crisp Romain. Great flavor, generous amount of meat, cheese and avocado. They carry White Rabbit Gluten Free pastry options which is a total and amazing win for those of us that can't enjoy gluten. Only area for improvement I can see is that they're using a large commercial coffee roaster for their beans. I would love to see them embrace a smaller and more local roaster such as Coava, Water Ave, Backporch, Flag & Wire, or Cellar Door to name a few. On the other hand, I was thrilled to see they're offering Matcha and the baristas did a great job with it. The flavor was well balanced and the powder whisked appropriately. A wonderful experience and I look forward to the next visit. They've earned their way into my lunch stop rotation. read more

Way to go, Canby! This coffee house is in an excellent location, right on the corner with plenty of parking a open clear windows. You could stop for a sip or hold a work meeting. The staff is kind and professional, they knew what they're doing. They have enough for any kind of breakfast or brunch, pastries, bagels, cakes and every kind of blend of coffee. My wife and I stopped in this afternoon for pastries and coffees, and we really enjoyed what we had. The pastries were delicious, and the drinks expertly prepared. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful, and the decor was warm and inviting. It was a gorgeous afternoon, though; so we kicked back in one of the bistro sets outside. Just had my first experience here. Never would I have ever predicted that putting pear on a breakfast sando would be a good idea, but it is. I had the breakfast sandwich with gouda, egg, ham, sliced pears, and some sort of spread. Not only is the sandwich surprisingly flavorful, but its plentiful in size!
