French Toast
Krista Lou ..

This place is bright, happy, and tasty! All the servers were wonderful and worked well together. We had French toast and the corned beef hash. Lots of options and all food going past looked good. Oh, and good coffee.

The place was packed and for the entire time we were there a constant stream of customers were coming in! The poor wait staff were flying around like mad! They did amazing though! Really fun atmosphere and decor, just fun. The food was okay, the biscuits and gravy were pretty bland. Great biscuits, gravy didn't seem seasoned at all, barely any sausage in it. The eggs were rubbery and had no seasoning either. Pancakes were decent, diner coffee was good! Staff were very friendly. Aside from the food it was really fun.

My family loves a good brunch but we don't love a long wait. Thankfully, we have Sunny's Dinner in town. This place is a good size with a lot of tables. I don't think I've ever had to wait more than a few minutes to get a table. The service is alright and the people are friendly enough. The food here is casual. Very much in the spirit of a diner. You'll find a good selection of your typical brunch options from all things eggs to burgers. The portions are large. You will not leave hungry. Overall a good value and a good place to keep in your brunch rotation.

Looking for a quick and convenient nearby spot for breakfast and gave this place a try. As you walk in they have fresh baked bread and monster size cinnamon rolls available for purchase to take home. Server greeted me and took my order. Food came quickly. Got the biscuits and gravy. I liked the biscuits but something was OFF with the gravy. I just didn't like the sausage they use in it. Huge portions though, I couldn't finish it. Inside is clean and modern and this is a HUGE restaurant. Solid choice despite my disappointment with the gravy.

Everything you would want from a diner: - Big portions - Reasonable prices - Endlessly refilled coffee Came here for a breakfast and left barely able to move - which is a great thing! I love a good country ham as a breakfast meet and of course a biscuit is the cherry on top. Or rather, marionberry, of which I spread tons of butter and marionberry jam all over that biscuit. Coffee was a good cup of brown, and our server made sure our table of caffeine fiends was satisfied. Great crisp on the hashbrowns, you can tell their doing wonders on that griddle. Whole experience was great top to bottom and they had some great baked goods if you wanted to take something out as well! I would've absolutely taken something if I wasn't on my way to get donuts.

Loved this spot. The food was delicious, I got the huevos rancheros and it was very spicy which I loved. Their French toast were also delicious, they make their own bread so that's what they used for the French toast. They also make their own ginormous cinnamon roll. Service was good, waitress was very attentive. Ambiance was nice, very mellow. Definitely a favorite breakfast spot from now on.

Food portions were ginormous. Everything tested fresh and homemade. I got the "everything but the sink" omelette. It didn't disappoint! Though it was loaded with lots of different things, lit all worked well together. The server was friendly and attentive. 10 out of 10 recommend for a nice, quiet and laidback morning meal. Also, love the backyard (Midwest) BBQ vibes inside :)

Such delicious food! Amazing service, big serving sizes. Ambiance is causal, cozy and all around happy. Our server took great care of us throughout the meal. We love coming here with our families!

We were in town and on the road to the airport for a last bite to eat with friends before flying out. We were looking for a place to have breakfast on the way and found Sunny's Diner We popped in and immediately were met by a smiling waitress who quickly got us settled with some hot coffee. We ordered biscuits and gravy and a Mexican omelette and all the food was wonderful. The portion size was bigger than we expected as well. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will be back!

I ate breakfast at this diner while on my Oregon Vacation and was very pleased. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Kitchen sink omelette. Great! Big! Omelette.

Food is great! Big portions, decent prices, fresh ingredients. Get the bread for sure! Not weird ingredients, just the good stuff making great bread! Service was THE BEST! Very attentive but not intrusive. Quick, friendly, and courteous. Excellent service! Ambiance was very calm. Well laid out, not cramped, you could hear others but not so much we couldn't hear ourselves. Decent music. Even took a loaf of bread home, (the stuff is awesome!). Can't wait to go back for the burgers. They have a ONE POUND BURGER PATTY! I am so trying that thing. Thank you Sunny's for doing it right. Keep it up and you'll go far. And. Whatever you're paying your people, they deserve more. Great crew!!

I ordered three different savory kolaches, and being from Texas I was wondering if they'd hold up. The OG is almost exactly the same, it's got a slightly different texture and the breading is less flaky than what I usually get at home, but it's still very good. The Bacon Me Happy was also super good, it's not like the usual savory kolaches back home but it was very tasty. The Happy Bird uses turkey sausage, which is good for anyone who wants less red meat in their diet, and I liked the cheese a lot. One more difference between these and the ones back home is these are less rectangular, which I think is closer to the original recipe than the ones I'm used to having.

I was able to chat with the owner while I waited for my food and had a very lovely interaction. In general, the atmosphere is very friendly and seemed like a very family friendly environment. Definitely check it out if you want to have some quality service while trying a pastry you've probably never heard of... all at an affordable price and in a vintage style restaurant.

There are a few tables outside too, complete with propane heaters and umbrellas. We have been coming here with our kids since they were in highchairs. Favorites include the Smoked Salmon Avocado Benedict, the Iron Miner's Scramble (eggs, red potatoes, bacon, caramelized onion, black beans, and gravy), and the Lake Grove Breakfast (omelet or scramble). The food is tasty and high quality, as are the coffee and the Bloody Marys. Service is friendly and competent in our experience. Babica Hen takes reservations for parties of eight or more - otherwise, it's first come, first served. The restaurant is located next to the (formerly COVID mask-wearing) large elephant statue which is part of Lake Oswego's Gallery Without Walls outdoor sculpture exhibition. We use to frequent the Babica Hen Cafe in Dundee when it was open so I personally asked to come here. That was an unfortunate mistake on my part. Yes it was a Saturday so we were busy but that was ok with us. We ordered our drinks which was the start of the issues. The ice tea was old. You could taste it being stale. The coffee was super acidic that I asked to have take it back. I can drink just about any coffee but that was something else. We placed our food order and then we waited.. and waited.. and waited some more. It took almost an hour to get our food which seemed wild. During that time we couldn't get our servers attention at all. One of the ice teas had a giant hair in it. They said oh.. I will get a new one.. Nothing else. When the food came out one of them came with a salad and the dressing was so acidic and sour we couldn't eat it. The rest of the food was mediocre at best. I get there is a 18% service charge but it is hard to pay that when service was fairly lackluster. We hardly saw our waitress. Overall the visit left a bad taste and we won't be returning

We were seated quickly -- it was a nice day, so we sat in their lovely outdoor dining area. They brought us room temperature waters (not a fan), and took our drink orders rather quickly. Service was good throughout our visit. I ordered the IPA Bacon Cheeseburger, which came (over)loaded with lots of fresh vegetables, a large burger patty, and the IPA mustard sauce. I don't want to complain about a burger being piled high with bacon, pickles, and fresh onions, lettuce, & tomatoes; but it was difficult to eat. While the Challah bun was delicious, it was woefully undersized for the task of holding it all together. I enjoyed it, but felt the IPA sauce was lost in the midst of everything else, and I also thought the burger patty was under-seasoned. I ordered fries as a side, and unfortunately they were the "battered" variety, which I just don't enjoy. Restaurants -- please, just serve normal French fries, without any batter on them! We knew from past experience that baked goods and desserts are really what La Provence is good at, so we ordered Tiramisu for dessert. Their very non-traditional take on this Italian classic would probably some people uneasy, but it was delicious. It had a dense chocolate cake base, with a thick layer of mascarpone mousse on top of that, then a topping of thin, crunchy, chocolate hazelnut ganache. Not too sweet, with a variety of textures to enjoy. We would definitely come back again, but I'd get something other than burger and fries.

We had gotten there well before happy hour was ending, but since his section was so packed, it took him a very long time to get to us. It was understandable though because he had at least 14 people he was attending to in the section. We ordered sliders, 3 sushi rolls, and the chicken wrap. The chicken wraps were a little different from what we were used to. Using the super leafy part of the lettuce that you had to really hold in your hands to make it into a wrap. The sushi rolls were fine. The sliders were very juicy and yummy. My nieces had the kids bento boxes and they loved it. The little attention to detail by carving up the orange to look like a little animal was super cute. I was a bit confused looking at the menu. Thinking this was going to be a Hawaiian spot from the name, but the menu offered a very wide range of food that didn't seem quite cohesive.
