I was looking for a non-chain sub shop and other Yelpers led me to this one. It's located in a…read moresmall strip mall but there is plenty of parking. A little outdated looking but that doesn't matter to me so long as the food is good. They have a video gaming area behind some doors too if that's your thing. Plenty of tables and seating inside. I ordered the OG Italian sandwich to go. They had a choice of white and wheat bread. I ordered the wheat bread but I didn't notice until I got home that they used the white bread. Sandwich had lettuce, tomato, mozzarella cheese, the Italian meats, black olives, and Italian dressing. Overall a good basic sandwich which is what I was craving. Sometimes the best things are the simplest unlike a lot of sub shops these days that have a bajillion toppings you can add that hide the quality of the sandwich. I do want to go back and try the Reuben sometime. I thought the prices were just a little high but it's a small mom and pop business and the quality is just going to be better. Reminds me to the sub shops from the 1980s before the big chains came along.

The Italian has all the meats, pepperoni, ham, salami, on a nice portion of pepperoncinis, lettuce, tomato , pickled onions, olive oil, red wine vinegar on Focaccia bread. Very good portion of meat, amazing taste, loved the pickled onions, you can have it with chips and a drink. I could not put it down, I had to finish every bite. The owner was very friendly and engaging. The sandwich was ready very quickly. I am looking forward to my next sandwich, I am eyeing the Cubano. The food pod has a few benches along the parking lot. Eventually, after more than half an hour with nothing received, we requested a refund. While the restaurant refunded the food charges, they did not refund the tip. That was unacceptable. Not only was our time wasted, but we were essentially charged for service we never received. What made the situation worse was the lack of customer service. The manager's response felt dismissive, and there was no genuine apology or effort to make things right. A brief "sorry about that" at the end came across as an afterthought rather than sincere concern. It's now nearly a week later, and I still have not received a refund for the tip. Person in charge said they cannot refund my tip from the store but it must be corporate. Wrote a little note on my receipt, put it in the drawer and said they will submit a request. I left feeling completely ripped off and unvalued as a customer. The impression I got was that because this location is in Bridgeport and likely has plenty of business, losing a customer simply didn't matter. Mistakes happen, especially during busy periods. What matters is how they're handled. Unfortunately, this experience was handled poorly.

She was sweet and very helpful in taking my order. Her parents bake and cook the dishes . I ordered a variety of items and was pleased by the flavor and freshness. I ordered savory and sweets to take home for dinner. My family also loved everything. This is not fast food it takes a little time but so worth it. Just a tip, if you order the whole chicken they need 2 hours. I am picking up the chicken today. They grill the meats perfectly. There is not a place to sit down and eat and the interior is more a deli/grocery spot. Their grocery selection is also pretty good. Prices are reasonable too. Please help support this small family owned business.
