Back in the day when this place went by a different name and the vibe was more Hoppin' they made some of the greatest biscuits and gravy around. Legendary stuff. So naturally, I had to try it again. Good news: it didn't disappoint. I won't swear it's as good as the original incarnation (time has a way of polishing memories), but it's a solid second-best, and that's saying something. It'll wake you up, won't change your life, but it'll get you to Timberline without falling asleep at the wheel. That said, the place feels like a ghost of its former self.
