Quick service, large portions. I had the roja enchiladas. They were great. Served with rice, beans, sour cream and chips. $13.95. There's a condiment bar with lots of different add ins. Very nice people. read more

DEAD BUG IN DRINK AND MORE. I've lived in this city for most of my life, I've been here about 3 times and it's always been alright until I got the taquito plate with a horchata, I ended up getting someone elses food which was fine. I went back and told them i got the wrong food and if i could get my order, the lady was unapologetic and just handed me the correct order, the lid of the drink wasn't all the way on and some spilled on me and the inside of the car, when I did a double look on the drink I saw there was a dead fruit fly in the drink (inside of the lid). I went back and showed it to the employee (same one who was unapologetic) and I asked for a comp and just to take the untouch food and drink to dispose of it. the response was "you already paid for it." And that was it. I didn't argue, but she asked me if i wanted another horchata and i said "no. I dont want any drink or food." I then ask if she wants me to throw the food away.. she just walked away from me. So I threw it away on my way out of the building. Maybe I got the short end of the stick and caught them at a bad time, I get it, I can sympathize but this is ridiculous. I'll just call my bank. Update: the bank told me they need the phone number and name of manager and they'll do a claim.. so i called.. no the story doesnt end here. I called and asked for a manager (julie was the one who picked up) and she told me she was the one who was helping me in the first place and she's the one in charge. I told her I just wanted a refund, she told me it's not her fault, she gave me the right food and it was not her responsibility. I told her once again I just want my money back and I'm not even mad at her. I apperantly annoyed her enough for her to tell me im keeping her away from her customers and just to come in so she can refund me but also bring in the food that I purchased..which I had to remind her I threw it away in the restaurant when she walked away from me. She hung up on me and I drove back once more, she was very annoyed and told me that once again I'm holding her up and that this isnt her fault, and when she went in the back to refund me she was talking about me in Spanish to her coworker.. I asked for Julie's name (at the time i didnt know) and then when she gave me the proof for the refund while giving me her name, she proceeded to be more irritated with me and repeated herself once more how it's not her fault then raised her voice saying "SIGN HERE. HERE!" just to sign the receipt for the refund. I signed it and she just walked away. I'm not mad at the fact she gave me the wrong order. Im not mad how the lid wasn't even all the way on because I wouldn't have found the dead bug and I'm not even mad at the fact I found a dead bug in my drink (though I am disgusted). I'm upset at the lack of responsibility and hospitality of the service. I never said anything hurtful, i never raised my voice or made sly comments and STILL got treated that way.. so if THAT'S whose in charge, I worry for this restaurant and I hope no one goes through this the way I did. read more

I have to say this is the best Mexican food in town! Everybody working there is very friendly and always provides excellent service! The quality and portions of their food is excellent! read more

Decided to try their "Taco Tuesday". I had three street tacos; chicken, pork and beef. They were excellent! Service was prompt and friendly. I would definitely recommend. read more

Food and service was great. One of the best Mexican food restaurants I've had in PNW. Their salsa bar fixings were great, I especially loved the spicy carrots, seasoned cucumbers, and the pickled onions My boyfriend loved his hefty chicken burrito and my hard shell taco plate were authentic, not store bought shells. Also, I liked how the beans weren't too salty, a problem I've had other places. We just happened to stumble across this place and were really pleased! read more

Went in Sunday and bought a Carne Asada Quesadilla w/guac $12.50 + $5.00 tip for a total of $17.50. They charged $37.50 to my credit card. Take a picture of the slip you sign before handing it back. read more

Will never eat there again. #1) Website prices are OFF! Expect to pay DOUBLE what their website says. Really? $7 for a small beans or rice??? #2) I spent the next two days (after trying to eat an odd tasting cheese enchilada) unable to sleep or eat, dry heaving and crapping myself 6 times! Nope! Never again! read more

Food is usually pretty good, but there are definitely shortcuts done that make it a little less authentic, or tasty. For example using American cheese as a topping instead of cotija, that would just make a dish stand out. Tamales are delicious! Service is good. read more

Delicious and authentic Mexican food in this boring town is a gem. Ignore the bad reviews this place is the best. The employees provided great service and the ambiance of the place is great as well, 5 stars all around. read more

Food and service is always good. Not bad for a small town business. Easy to order and food comes out fast to.

I love these guys. Bias of a local mind you, but lotsa effort here. Salsa bar, a staff that you get to know, and some original paintings on the wall. Not saying the place is mega-gourmet, but it has the necessary bells and whistles and deserves appreciation. read more

Delicious! The lingua tacos are my favorite, but the burritos and fajitas come in tied for a close second. As good as any meal in Cabo, Mazatlan, or Puerto Vallarta. read more

Chilaquiles to die for. Enormous portions. Ate breakfast at a nearby settler's graveyard. Just the thing when you're out camping! Service was super friendly, too. Super recommended! read more

Stopped in on my way thru town. Ordered a cheeseburger and fries I also added two hard shell tacos. The burger was very plain but came with crinkle cut fries. The fries were great. The burger was salty. Almost as if it was punishment for leaving a dollar on the tip line. This is a drive thru. No. No tipping in a drive thru! I didn't have any tacos in the bag so there's that. read more

We stopped off on our way through Estacada because it had a drive-through and tacos always sound good. This place was fast and reasonably priced. I had the chicken tacos and the flavor was great! My kiddo had the burger and fries. The burger was delicious and the fries were chrispy and had great seasoning. Good place to stop on your way out of town! read more

Not authentic. Horrible service. Mean employees. Waste of my time, space, and money. Paid 10$ to get the world's smallest bag of chips and a terribly wrapped side of guac. The woman taking my order had zero patience and came off hasty as if the place was packed and busy. read more

Very disappointed with my last interaction with Sol Tapatio. We've ordered food from here lots of times, pretty decent for the most part. We have had a few orders wrong in the past but we try to brush it off as we want to support the small businesses in town. We ordered soft tacos with chicken.. We've done this several times in before, with beef also. It typically comes on flour tortillas, with lettuce, cheese and tomato. Once I arrived home with our pick up order, I realized they gave us street tacos. That's corn tortillas onion and cilantro. That's not what we ordered. I decided to call and let them know that the order was wrong. The employee decided to tell me that they've NEVER made soft tacos with flour tortillas at their restaurant. Seems really weird because I know I've gotten them before, several times. Pretty frustrating if you ask me. Sounds like we are not the only ones who have had issues with this place on wrong orders or similar interactions with the staff. We will give our business to another restaurant -this was the last straw for us :( read more

We went for a breakfast burrito. My wife is vegetarian so I just asked for a meatless BB and it just comes with cheese, egg, and potato. I asked to add fajita veggies and avocado. I could see 1, or even $2 for avocado (to be fair). Maybe 1-2 for fajita (2 is stretching it). They charged me $12.48 for the burrito. See receipt. This is just greed and very poor customer retention. We won't be going back. When I asked her "12.48 for one burrito" she said "you added veggies and avocado, it's heavy". read more

This place is a bit of a hole in the wall, semi-fast food drive-thru, but it is surprisingly good! Their beans are so tasty! Not like the bland offerings you get at so many fast food places. And the food isn't fast-food style, even though it comes out quickly. When you get a crispy taco, it's done authentically - meat inserted, toothpick to hold it closed, then fried. Not a pre-cooked shell like one would get at the grocery store. We are staying in the area for a month while visiting family and have gone here 4 or 5 times now. Everything we've had has been very good! The burritos are huge! I just can't complain about anything. I haven't had everything on the menu, so maybe there is something I wouldn't rave about, but I haven't found it yet. Both my husband and I are native Californians, being born and raised in So. Cal., so we grew up with the best Mexican food in the country. We travel full time around the country in our motorhome and have all but given up on Mexican food for while we are on the road because once we leave California, it becomes bland and boring and in some states, it is made with shockingly bad ingredients. Example, I've had a cheese enchilada that was made with American cheese and my husband had tacos that were made with French dressing. It's mind boggling what passes for Mexican in some areas. But I will give it to this little spot in Estacada Oregon, they do things right! read more

I had the lengua burrito plate. This is a new Mexican restaurant in estacada. It is owned by the same person who has a couple of don pedro restaurants. Now for my meal, it was really good, a wet lengua burrito with rice and beans. It had alot of flavor and was presented nicely. And I like that they give you a side of chips and salsa. I used their drive thru and it was quick and they have a really nice menu board. All in all i'll definitely come back to try other items read more

Nah...tried it multiple times and simply nothing special and really that good. I will not completely put down a small local business and I think they try, but they use too much refried beans, too little chips and meat and it's something I could make a home, only better. Sorry. read more

Updating my review to 3 stars, as much as it hurts me to do! Look, this place actually has good food, but their customer service and ability to get SIMPLE orders correct is really lacking. I guess it's the "fool me once, fool me twice..." you know the story. I should know better by now to check my order before I come home. I'm happy they are here, I love their hours (open late at night and early), but for real - check your order! Also, pro-tip - the chicken salad is the BOMB! Get it with the dressing on the side (and check to make sure it's actually on the side LOL). read more

Now that these folks are open for business, and I have folks around Estacada their opinions, I have to drop my number of stars. Most people are calling the food "ho-hum", nothing special, not to mention we have too many so-called Mexican restaurants in the area. Hopeful when the excitement settles down, things will get better. Estacada does need to keep it's retail space occupied. read more

I think this place is GREAT! I work nearby so I hit them up several times a week. The drive thru component and GIANT menu of awesome choices had me eagerly awaiting their grand opening - I was not disappointed. Their carne asada is my favorite protein they offer, it's tender and flavorful. I'm addicted to their tortas, tacos and ceviche. Horchata is on point and I can't get enough of their avocado sauce. The staff are friendly and the place is clean and bright. Bonus: If you feel like some fluffy pancakes, bacon and eggs..they can hook you up with that too! Long live Sol Tapatio!! read more

Stopped here late after a soccer game. Very friendly service! Good menu selection, tasty food & good size portions.

We stopped going to this place because every time we got our order there was a charge on the receipt for $1.50 for open food. We asked what that was for and never got a response. Today we decided to go back and try after 6 months. This time after we left there were 2 lines for "open food" for $2 and $3. I will NEVER go back again. So they stole $5 because we didnt notice it on our receipt! read more

BEST BREAKFAST BURRITOS EVER. ZERO STARS - ewww ewwww ewwwww - not sure what part of mexican food they understand but what they are making here is gross and no where near true authentic Ceviche is a fish dish not two shrimps diced so tiny that the diced tomatoes are larger - the pastor taco was mushy and flavorless absolutely cannot recommend this place to anyone read more

A little education in customer service would go a long way. Ordering a dinner, and asking for sour cream instead of rice, chips, beans, and salad, shouldn't make for an up-charge. My partner's meal was paid for, and then we were told they were out after we sat down. No problem, he opted for something much cheaper and requested no sour cream, which it was slathered in. It's really too bad, because the food is good. read more

The place was clean and the people were really nice but the food was sub par. We opted not to eat at the local burrito truck to have a warm place to sit down and we were a lil disappointed. The taquitos were old, reheated, and burnt. The chicken was old and dry. The fajita plate was barely cooked...
