Enchaladas with "extra" sauce. Still kind of dry.
    Stacie B.

We really love the enchiladas here but they are putting less & less enchilada sauce on them. They were to the point of being dry... enchiladas are supposed to be saucy. So we started paying for extra sauce. Now that is even a little on the dry side. It's starting to bum me out. The way they are with their salsa bar is kind if stingy too. They will not give you containers with lids for your to-go orders & all they will give you are tiny paper cups that fall apart inside your to go box. I think the guy who runs it is the main cook & he is just getting super stingy which is a bummer because I do like this place. The cashiers always look to him when I ask about where the sauce is & he seems annoyed & sometimes even seems to ignore them. He seems rude to the nice ladies that run the registers & bring food out. That seems sucky too. When I pay for extra sauce tho, to make it be how it should be- then still end up with dry enchiladas it doesn't feel very good.

Cute unique decor and location. I grew up in the OC and I am happy to see different food concepts and business opening in the OC. Downtown OC is historical. It deserves to have charm and modern takes on restaurants like Don Chico's. The food was excellent. Starting with: The layered enchiladas - big, nicely presented, the meat has little flavor-to it. My dad wanted a zest in the meat. I thought it tasted like the meat was a higher grade of meat. I always appreciate a restaurant who is willing to spend extra for higher quality meats. $16 Queso with chorizo - definitely a go to. Yum. $7-$9. Mole - yes please -$18 Burrito with bacon, carne Asada and chorizo. - again flavor is just really from unseasoned meat but I like the flavor of good quality meat. (Which doesn't have to be seasoned to cover taste (at the same time. I do love mexican spices. Chips. Salsas. Two thumbs up. I recommend

Ground beef burrito. Was told it's normal for it to be this greasy.

It's street parking which can be tricky in that area. Their menu had lots of great options. It was my first time here and was a little bummed that chips and salsa had to be ordered and was not complimentary. Also we had some kids in our group and they didn't have a mild salsa so the kids didn't really eat any of the salsa. Personally I liked their house salsa and also appreciated that they had 3 sauces you could use for your food at a counter to the side which included mild (verde salsa), medium and spicy. The kids didn't like the verde salsa either. Highlights- My daughter loved her steak taco and I really liked my 2 tacos- camarones and barbacoa. All 3 tacos had lots of protein on them which was awesome. We really liked our waitress Kimberlee. She took great care of us! Our friend really liked her margarita and fun bowl. Another friend loved her calabacitas taco. Things to note- There is not a kid's menu, but they do have a little quesadilla on their menu. I personally would skip the side of beans and rice and order another taco. We got a couple of orders of beans and rice and that was the only thing no one (adults and kids) didn't really liked. We ordered guacamole to start and it didn't have much flavor it was okay, but not great. There is a 5% 'happy kitchen' fee added to the bill. Overall I would recommend checking out this place! I hope to go back in the future to try their mole negro enmoladas.

Adelina's Mexican Food…read more I absolutely adore this food cart through and through - and I can never get enough! Every single time I order from Adelina's, the food is fresh, incredibly flavorful, and made with so much care. There's a perfect balance of zest and spice in everything I've tried -- bold without ever being overpowering. The owners and staff deserve a shoutout on their own. They are genuinely kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do, and you can feel and taste that love and passion for their craft in every bite! The location is also a huge bonus. Being tucked into Corner 14 Food Carts in downtown Oregon City makes it the perfect stop -- grab food, go axe throwing, enjoy a beer at the bar, and explore the other carts... though honestly, Adelina's is always my top choice. Now let's talk food -- because WOW. The esquites are an absolute flavor bomb: creamy mayo, cotija cheese, tajín, and a slice of lime on top that you can squeeze fresh for that bright pop of citrus. It's indulgent, balanced, and so satisfying. Now: the underdog that everyone needs to try from Adelina's is their famous Tamales! I swear they are a major standout -- ONE OF THE BEST MADE AROUND PORTLAND! I mean the corn wrapping is perfect: not too thick, not too thin. Topped with crema and cotija, it's rich without feeling heavy. Don't even get me started about the flavor of the meat inside because the red sauce they make can use for their chicken inside the tamale... Unreal. I've also tried their beans and rice, plus the house guacamole (DO NOT SKIP ON THE GUAC; it reminds me of the table-side service guacamole we had in Puerto Vallarta) which is full of fresh vibrant flavor salted to perfection; it's finished with cilantro and lime for a fresh, clean bite. It's the perfect addition to literally anything on the menu. Anytime I'm feeling a little down or just need something filling that doesn't feel heavy or unhealthy, this is where I go. Adelina's always resets my day in the best way. If you haven't stopped by yet, please do -- or order pickup/delivery through DoorDash and taste for yourself and add another local staple to your family's favorite spots! There's something incredibly healing about food made with love, and this small local business truly knows what they're creating.

We were visiting family in the area and had two people in our group local to the area who had been there several times in the past. We first went and checked in and were told there was a 10-15 minute wait. The hostess was very kind, took our number and sent us to the upstairs bar to wait for a table. We were greeted by a friendly bartender who took our drink orders (cocktails and wine) and we enjoyed our beverages while chatting by the bar. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with large velvet green booths, all new, updated and well done. The drinks were all great. The downstairs hostess came upstairs to let us know our table was ready, and we paid and went downstairs. So far, we were all really happy with our experience. The prices of the drinks were all around $15-20+ but we were all okay with it given the good service (thus far), high end atmosphere, etc. There were people in there but it was a pretty mellow Saturday evening. We were given a nice large area to sit and thanked the hostess. The waitress came and was clearly a little overwhelmed but took our drink orders. I mentioned a drink my husband had upstairs and asked if I could have it, but was told they had a different menu down here and I needed to order from that menu. I looked it over while the others ordered their drinks, and when she came back to me, I asked if I could go upstairs to order the drink I wanted, and bring it down. She said sure. I put in an order for a couple food items with her, and she left. My brother in law kindly offered to go upstairs and order the drink and was gone for quite a long time. We learned that when he was upstairs, he went to the bar and mentioned I wanted a drink from his bar. The bartender's mood shifted and he said he had 10 drinks ahead of my BIL, and asked him to go downstairs to order. My BIL informed him he was told the downstairs bar didn't have the ingredients, and was sent up here. The bartender was annoyed and asked my BIL to go downstairs for 10 minutes and come back again to order. My BIL replied that he was happy to wait at the bar instead and took a seat. After a long while, the bartender curtly said that my BIL would have to pay for the drink up here, which my BIL of course agreed to. My BIL said it was very uncomfortable and the bartender was being rude (a couple sitting at the bar also mentioned this). We are guessing he was overwhelmed and didn't handle it well. He brought the drink downstairs, no problem. We were all sitting for a while and noticed that my BIL never received the beer he ordered from the waitress downstairs. And after about 45 minutes I asked about the food I had ordered (she hadn't checked in with us at all during that time, and I should mention it was not busy at all - several tables open). The waitress said she forgot to put it in. That was it. No offer to quickly put it in, no offer to comp a drink, no real apology. We asked for the bill and split it between two cards. When we got the receipts and cards back, my husband found they had given both him and his brother (the other payer) copies of my husband's receipt-so he assumed he was double charged. He went to the front to bring this to their attention and explained how he was upset by the poor service throughout the evening. He received a quick response that they had printed the receipt twice (didn't charge twice) and were short staffed that evening. We are all understanding people and my sister in law ran restaurants for years, we all had food service jobs and are sympathetic but really just disappointed in this place. I'm writing this review because the employees there just didn't seem to care about the issues we raised. They had an acoustic artist playing that evening who was phenomenal. If you go there on a different day with different staff, I'm sure you'd have a great time. But for the price and ambiance, we really expected better service.

The Oregon Ducks swag throughout the place added a nice local touch to the vibe. Go Ducks!! Food: I found it a bit overpriced for what it was. The mahi mahi tacos and chicken burrito with rice and beans were pretty bland and lacked seasoning.
