This was my first time to the Old Mill since its renovation. They did a nice job keeping the feel of the old place while updating the restaurant to current standards. Great views of Mattituck Inlet & a friendly staff to greet you. My fish & chips were great, so was the chicken wing appetizer. My lady's burger wasn't that great, the meat was over cooked and not much flavor. Other than that it was all good. Great place to grab a drink too!

Sat at the Chefs table. Yes, that is now a thing. Chef was engaging and informative. The guy who clears the meals and wears a hat is not nice. He should be retrained. Food amazing. Worth a try but watch out for staff performance.

Great spot, service and food. Really nice wood interior and the deck outside gets a great breeze and can watch the boats go by.

I opted to get a marinated steak over a calabrese salad with mozzarella, tomato and red peppers with a balsamic dressing. The steak was delicious, and marinated to perfection. The waitresses were kind and the atmosphere is real homey. That's part of the attraction for me. Nothing changes, while everything else in the area is losing its rural character, you can go into Cliffs and reminisce the old days on the North Fork. I was there many times with my husband and friends and it feels like yesterday. I hope it always stays the same. To top it off, I had a slice of the chocolate cake for dessert. It was a happy ending for sure. Go to Cliffs Elbow Room if you're in Jamesport and want a good steak.

I have never had a more delicious steak - the marinated porterhouse was the best steak I've ever had ( and I had been to Peter Lugers the week before. ) it was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of flavor. The smash burger was also delicious. I remember when I was in Vegas a guy I was talking to told me he used to live out here and I had to try cliffs. Now I know why he couldn't forget about the place.

She never came by to ask if we needed anything else. She walked by our table several times without checking on us. We had to stop her to get more water. We were considering getting dessert, but she never came by to ask if we wanted dessert. So much time had gone by we finally asked for the check. When she brought the check it was for a different table. There seemed to be plenty of staff working so I don't think was the issue. This is the first time that I have given a restaurant a negative review.

With a band setting up behind us we settled in for a relaxing evening. Read a few reviews about the Windamere ( located above the marina) which made us pause but hunger outvoted hesitancy so we threw caution to the wind. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised. Even though we did not have a reservation we were warmly greeted and immediately seated on the outside patio area overlooking both the marina and band. Our server Victoria was outstanding, the epitome of excellent customer service skills; professional, friendly, engaging, menu knowledgeable and attentive. The food was very good starting with the baked clams and mussels. The baked salmon and seared tuna dishes were well seasoned, moist and flaky, the salmon served over rice and asparagus. Found the food good, slightly under portioned compared to other establishments but reasonably priced. During dinner we enjoyed listening to the band ( Radio Flashback) which we had seen previously. Overall a pleasant evening at Windamere enjoying some good food and drinks while listening to some great music. Although there is inside seating I'd recommend the outside patio area. Just a word ( or two) of caution the bar area overlooks the marina pool which can be a little noisy so if your eating would not recommend that patio area and just remember the lyrics to the song 867-530/Jenny you'll understand later .

The staff even brought a pie plate with water for them. Highly recommend.

Our very nice server asked what we wanted and to just fill time before dinner, we went with a coffee and some sweets. We definitely sat for a while whle catching up. We never felt like we needed to order more or we were here too long. I like the vibe here which is why you hear so many people speaking about this place. Looking forward to a return trip, ordering some food and just enjoying what the venue has to offer. KUDOs to the team at Love Lane Kitchen.

Our waitress was wonderful. To start, we got there lobster fritters & jamesport baked Brie which were both so flavorful and the flavors were perfectly balanced. We shared the duck confit & stuffed summer squash & I am now determined to make that squash at home! Also had butternut beer for the first time and woah. It rivaled my favorite seasonal pumpkin beer! We went out for a nice dinner with another couple and our friend has to be sure there are gluten free items on the menu. When I called to check, the woman on the phone, who was so nice and I wish I remembered her name, said that they had gluten free options, and they can also change some of the entrees to be gluten free. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and seated in their very beautiful dining area near the outside patio. It was too hot to eat outside, but at least we got to see the beautiful outside area, which we will definitely check out when the weather is nicer. When we got to our table we met our awesome server Kim, who helped our friend with the menu and gluten free options. She was so friendly, knowledgeable and patient with all of us and our questions. When the drinks and apps came out, they were absolutely delicious. Kim is also an awesome bartender and her drinks were perfect! The apps I would recommend are the scallops, shrimp, fried mozzarella, and the mussels. Yes, we had them all and they were awesome! When our entrees arrived they were not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. Everything we ate here from the apps to our desserts were outstanding! When we were done with dinner, we asked about exploring the upstairs since it looked very interesting and we were curious about it when we first walked in. Kim encouraged us to go explore, even though they were closing, and we were so happy we did. You have to try this place, and also see what is upstairs, you will not be disappointed; it's beautiful, very unique and I also think it may be haunted :-) Thank you to Kim and all the staff for making our night really special, we will be back soon!
